Is there anyone who has this strange behavior?

  • Empty the Dock and bring back the Contacts!

After using my Apple Watch for a year now, I am appalled by the latest changes in operating system.

The dock is tedious in comparison with the previous shot upward and along the method to access the information useful and shows a lack of understanding of the best type of movements required by the small screen. Information slide at the top are of little value compared to what has been replaced.

The contacts button has lost its functionality as well. Contacts were essential. Where are they now?

Even if it means a loss of face to admit the new OS *, asst last make it easy for the owners to return to the way the watch worked when they bought it.

I live in hope (very little).

You do not discuss Apple here. This is a user support forum at, and your comments on Apple should go here, http://www.apple.com/feedback and click on the box in this area. Read all the comments, they usually fail. He will tell you that when you propose, but things have changed because of the feedback.

Contacts are found in the phone application, or your Messages application, depending on what you want to do. In addition, your Favorites from the phone are found in the phone app as well.

  • El Capitan Email Dock behavior

Since the upgrade to El Capitan by clicking the Mail icon in the dock to open is no longer e-mail in box/mail-program. Instead clicking on the mail icon opens more recent open email (reading or writing). To access Inbox icon to the dock 1. no emails can be open or 2. must, do a right-click and select Inbox of all electronic files open (reception + mail box).

It is a departure from the behavior of previous dock icon that opened the Inbox by a simple click - and would send selection on right-click. As someone who has generally 10 to 20 emails open/minimized this is embarrassing.

Searched the forums or councils, but most have been consumed w / other, more important challenges of e-mail > upgrade OS. Is there a change of adjustment that can be made? Or terminal entrance? Is this a known issue?

    Any direction most appreciated.

    Thank you. G

    Hello, GUUU.

Leave your post, after that you have improved your MacBook Pro to El Capitan, the Mail app does not work as you would expect. Instead to open the Inbox, it opens up items left open the last time it used. I'll be happy to help you.

OS X El Capitan: Quit apps -in the menu bar, when the application is active, choose App name > Quit App. For example, choose Mail > Mail to quit. Re-open again all holding the SHIFT key. This clears the cache of the application Mail make you it opens correctly.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not start -start your MacBook Pro in test and in safe mode. Start in safe mode is a great way to make sure that everything starts correctly. Then, restart your Mac normally and test here too.

  • Siri on macbook with belkin express dock

When I use the thunderbold2 express hd on my macbook pro Siri dock will not work. He is unresponsive to the microphone. When the docking station is not connected SIRI will work.

    Hi aartfromdriebergen,

I understand that, as soon as you connect your MacBook Pro to your dock, Siri ceases to be able to hear. In this case, it seems that your input device may change (in system preferences > Sound > entry or in system preferences > Siri) when connecting to your dock.

To check, connect to your docking station and check to see which device is selected by opening the Apple menu > System Preferences, click sound, and then click Enter.
macOS Sierra: adjust the settings of your computer's audio input

    https://support.Apple.com/kb/PH25417

If you see one entry other than the built-in microphone, you can set Siri listen only through an input device. Yet once in system preferences click on Siri, then replace automatic microphone by internal mic input. This will keep Siri listens on the microphone if your dock offers an entry which is automatically tilting your device to input in the system preferences.

If Siri seems not to hear you talk, check your selection of micro in the Preferences of Siri.

    Use Siri on your Mac.

  • iPad tells me "Not Charging" when plugged into the docking station

It is a very new problem for me. I had the iPad the same docking for the months and not had a problem. But now when I plug in, the iPad now tells me in the upper corner is it 'not supported' y at - it something I can do to fix this?

There seems to be something that is changed with iOS modified 10 power requirements for the load.

No idea when or if things will change, so all users can make use of the work load by plugging into the wall.

  • Since the upgrade to Sierra, responds the dock

After upgrading my iMac (retina 5K, 27 inches, end of 2015) to Sierra, answers the dock (which is not responding to any pointer/mouse clicks) after a few minutes of use.

I deleted all the login items and provided there is no unnecessary processes running. If I force left the dock, he becomes sensitive after the reboot process. Then after a few minutes she becomes unresponsive. This seems to coincide with the noise of the fan. I tried a reset the PRAM and SMC, but this did not help.

Everything else is reactive (office/menus/spotlight, siri, etc.).

Docking station located approximately 147 percent CPU utilization.

I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas as to what I can do to continue troubleshooting. Thanks in advance.

  • Delete recent libraries Dock?

I love being able to right click on the FCPX icon in the dock, and then choose which library I want to open.

Recently, however, I had cause to return to a backup and trying to find the copy says that I needed, I had to open several versions of the library in question, before you find the right pair.

Copies known of these libraries have been removed since then but now I find it quite irritating that they always appear in the list when I right click on the FCPX icon.

Does anyone know how to remove unwanted items from this list?

At the same time, I remember seeing a clear recent in this menu, but it's not here now.  Not sure how you would do that.  But here's a better way to follow your FCPX libraries.

    http://www.finalcutprox.guru/page0/blog/files/smart_folders.html

In addition, you can hold down Option key at the launch of FCPX for a list of reinventing and a way to open a specific library without having to open others.

  • Having all the icons app pinned to the docking station

It affect the performance or memory available to other programs if you pin all the application icons in your dock (just for the look)?

I'm not sure about the memory, but keeping all applications in the dock reduces the execution stack, so it is wise to keep apps in launchpad (you can keep finder and trash in the dock) and also to reduce the size of the icons.

    Thank you!

  • 'downloads' folder missing from the dock.

I have accidentally deleted my folder "downloads" of my dock. How do I restore it?

    I'm on a retina MacBook Pro 13 inch, mid-2014. OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

I tried to drag the original on the quay "Downloads" folder, as I do with the applications. It will not drop to the dock.

I tried to create an alias for the folder and add it to the docking station. Still, it will not drop to the dock.

I tried to find some settings for the dock that could guide me. The settings are limited, without anything to help me with my problem.

Any ideas on what I'm missing?

    Thank you.

From your users, do folder drag the folder downloads at the dock but make sure that you are placing on the right side of the dock, there should be a vertical gray line of feint on the platform where you put files and apps right to the left.

Click OK, and then place the file com.apple.dock.plist in the trash.
