  • Satellite C870 - 1 H 2 and support for virtualization

    Hello

    I am (was to) buy a Toshiba Satellite C870 - 1 H 2 (from amazon.co.uk).
The specifications look ideal for me, but at the last moment, I thought to check if VT - x extensions are supported.

I know that the processor supports extensions (as detailed here: [http://ark.intel.com/products/71465/]), but I know also that the extensions are often not enabled (or there is no option in the BIOS to enable them).

The expression "Virtualization Technology" (which is present on other pages of the specification) is clearly absent from the plug laptop here: [http://www.toshiba.co.uk/discontinued-products/satellite-c870-1h2/].
I saw some comments that suggest the Satellite * Pro * series usually provides the support for virtualization, but it always seems to be missing on many current models of Pro's specifications.

I don't know why the C870 would not support VT - x, when we know that his material, but the specifications indicate that this is the case. On the other hand, I found no references to people complaining about the lack of VT - x support.

So my question is, the Satellite C870 - 1 H 2 actually does support VT - x, or not?
(and if not, because it takes just a very small piece of code BIOS, why not?)

    Thank you

    > The same issue applies. These models are supported virtualization

VT support is always depends on the CPU built in Notepad. But you mentioned it in the first post.
According to the page of the Ark from Intel, the Intel Pentium 2020 M processor supports Intel Virtualization Technology (VT - x)

  • LabVIEW does not support for NI-DAQmx.

    Hello fellow programmers.

I am an absolute beginner with LabVIEW and I have the problem that even if I installed the latest versions of the NOR-DAQmx (9.7.5) driver and LabVIEW (2013) I get the error message "LabVIEW does not support for NOR-DAQmx. Please reinstall.

I created a task in the NOT-MAX. According to the tutorial now there should be an element in LabVIEW under "Measure i/o", but it is not. I carried the task via drag & drop in the block diagram, but when I want to turn in code, I get the above message.

    Operating system: Windows XP SP3

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    Laura

    crossrulz,

Thank you for your response. Well, I installed the latest version of NOR-DAQmx (9.8) and this time I also installed packages for the former executives etc and now it works.

  • Support for virtualization on Satellite C855

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite C855 29N. I am trying to run the virtualization on it, but running on the following questions:

    VMware Player;
This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit operating systems. However, the 64-bit mode is not possible.
This host is not compatible Intel VT - x.

On the attempt of activation of Microsoft Hyper-V platform:
Hyper-V cannot be installed. The processor has no virtualization required capabilities.

The BIOS settings for the virtualization technology configured only for VT - x (another option is "off").

Even if the laptop was advertised as an i3 - 2350 m, it actually comes with an Intel Pentium B960, which some "Googling" suggests that he does not support VT

I hope someone can tell me if I have a chance of running VMware or Hyper-V on this laptop I have a small window in which return it if it proves inadequate.

    See you soon

AFAIK all you can do is change the settings in the BIOS and use available options. No more than that.

  • Error - the computer is running an operating system Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not support for the installation of the Extension of reporting Dynamics CRM 2011.

Original title: Dynamics CRM 2011 Extension of reporting facility.

    Nice day

Asked me to install this program called Extension Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 report Authoring on one of our PC network operations.  The computer is a Dell OptiPlex 960 under Windows XP SP3.  When attempting to install the program, you get the following error message:

The computer is running an operating system Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not support.  To install this product, you need to upgrade your computer to an operating system supported.  For a complete list of supported operating systems, see the documentation for Microsoft Dynamics CRM (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=181018)
For additional detals see logfile C:\Documents and Settings\bcodom\Application Data\Microsoft\MSCRM\Logs\BIDSExtensionsSetup.log

Now, normally, I just coordinates with the end-user to him upgrade to Windows 7, however, after watching on the download page of this application (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13818), I noticed that Windows XP is one of the supported operating systems that can be installed on.  In addition, after looking around on the Technet documentation, I was not given a definitive answer on whether or not this application is not supported on Windows XP.

So, my question is creation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 report Extension works on Windows XP SP3, or do we let us upgrade this computer to Windows 7?  Thank you!

    Hi Bcodom,

In dealing with the problem to install the Extension of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 report creation, I would recommend you to post your question in the help link.

  • Hardware support for 64 bit guest OS?

    Hello

I plan to set up a server running VMWare Server or ESXi and I try to understand the hardware requirements for running 64 bit guest OS.

Currently I have a motherboard ASUS P5K - V and will get an Intel Q6600 processor clocked in a few days. I'd like to run a fedora OS as host and run Windows 2003 or 2008 as a 64-bit client, but I don't know if the motherboard supports VT and other requirements necessary for this?

URL to the site of ASUS' display information about the Board of Directors is: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=ILTh1fZDCOAEjPcB#.

Can someone give me some advice on this subject? Or should I get another mother card to be sure?

    Thojo

    Yup looks that way.

The manual suggests that the VT is enabled by default, but I would go in the bios, just to confirm.

    Have fun.

    If

you find this or any other useful information, please consider giving points for correct or helpful answers.

  • HP Pavilion P6-2170 - support for virtualization?

I bought a HP Pavilion P6-2170 today and wanted to turn to virtualization Hyper-V (I run Windows 8 Enterprise).

The CPU would support it (Core i7), but I'm not sure about the motherboard (it's a 2AC2 of PEGATRON CORPORATION 2.00).  There is no option in the BIOS, so my question is this computer supports virtualization?

    Hello

Should be safe in the BIOS as shown:

  • Satellite P100 series with core2duo - no support for virtualization?

    Hello
my brand new laptop P100-324 with core 2 duo T7400 has no virtualization support - however, it was clearly written in Tech spec.
It was not cheap at all, so I don't think that the sheet will lie!

    It's serious reflection.
I ask the representatives of toshiba to lose a word or two here in this topic and when new BIOS on, which will allow the Intel VT.

If it will be - as I hope! I'm sure that cpu can handle VT (indicated in the documents of cpu Intel laptop, and cpu is VT flags etc.), but the VT is just disabled by default in the BIOS and there is nothing to do.

    Hello

Could you please put the link to the page that says that this laptop model supports the VT technology?
    It would be very interesting

Usually, virtualization can be enabled and disabled in the BIOS. If the BIOS don't provide that option then it s a clear case of the VT can be not activated

As you probably know Toshiba offer a wide range of portable models and offers different models P100.
Maybe some media VT units and some don t.

  • HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z: how to get the hardware support for HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z

I'm probably in the wrong forum, but I'm not anywhere else to go.  Just throw it out there and I hope someone has the answer.

My very reliable Officejet printer has lost the ability to feed paper from the paper tray.  It is that decend on top of paper rolls and are believed to feed the paper until the collection of wheels.  The rolls go down, but they don't happen, and therefore no paper feed.  I can gently push the individual sheets until the collection of wheels and printing works very well.

Has anyone dealt with this kind of problem.  Of course, it's hardware related and I'll probably have to bring somewhere for repairs.  It's a great printer for several years and I look forward to replace themselves.

    Thank you.

I bought a new printer because the cost to fix this little problem is higher than the purchase of a new machine.
