  As mentioned in other threads; BSOD can be caused by the software problem or hardware problem.

  Have you noticed a higher temperature?
  The higher temperature may affect the functionality of the laptop. It might affect the RAM causing the BSOD.
  If the temperature is too high, the laptop stops automatically to prevent the equipment from damage.

  Why is temperature too high? Maybe the cooling fans are clogged with dust and debris
  Remove it with compressed air spray maybe that helps

  Initially, this problem started about 3 weeks ago, when my son was playing on the site Web of Cbeebies and the just suddenley computer crashed, showed a screen blue error, then rebooted. Then it started happening frequently and after running several diagnistics sytem scans (which is now much I forget which those, no doubt) there seems to be a problem with my AVG and report software, so I uninstalled my AVG but STILL havn't could completely uninstall all report. Now becomes very odd and very annoying. Please can you help me solve this problem? I have 2 files of mini dump that I can't not training how to read even though I have Visual 2008 which is supposed to open these files.

  The model number of the laptop is Equium M37-337 PSM77E-00L00MAV

  the research on the web I see that it is a graphics problem.
  When the laptop starts it will go int Windows and then crash with a blue registration screen above. It lasts only about half a second and then machine will just a black screen and nothing else.
  I am able to power down the laptop by pressing the power button for several seconds. When I try to reboot, he returned to the State of the black screen.
  If I fail the laptop for somre time (say 30 minutes), it is up to the the Windows startup, then sequence blue screen black screen.

  I tried to boot into windows safe mode, but a similar incident occurs (even if sometimes it's just the machine locked up with some fine black lines on the screen.

  What I would recommend would be first to perform a recovery of product on the machine. Baring in mind that all data you have on the laptop will be lost in doing this; It is imperitave that you back up your data first before going to come with it.

  The reason why I'm saying you should do it is first of all if the repair see this as a software problem, and if you have some extended warranties on the laptop, you will be charged (although this may be the case anyway). In addition, discovering in mind if recovery of product does not resolve the problem then you could save yourself a lot of time with waiting for repairs.

  As I know he is has no problems experienced with this machine where the graphics are concerned, and this isn't something I've heard of this model.   For the life of me I can't figure out how to get my machine to boot successfully. Nothing changes when I choose Safe Mode, last known good Configuration, enable VGA Mode, booting, Directory Services Restore Mode or Debug Mode logging.

  It's very stressful, because I'm right smack dab in the Middle a semester at the College. I have most of what I currently need access to supported illuminates... but not quite all :( It is also very reassuring to be able to take care of the school of work away from the library of the University. Yesterday, my computer was working fine... I think that Windows has completed an update, if I can't remember now. As I woke up this morning, I was not able to boot all the way to Windows only once.

  My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6000 running XP Media Center, and I have not installed new hardware since I bought the machine about 3 years ago.

  Here are more details, where they can help in the diagnosis of my problem:

  Quick suggestion

  Some HP partition the hard drive. have you tried to type F11 or F12 during startup (before that he go to the option mode start screen)? It might take you for a HP recovery program in that partition (because windows don't be loading not to use that recovery)

  You only install only recently?  You can uninstall, reboot and see what things look like.  If things look better without it, you can be sure that you use the latest version.

  I used BlueScreenView to interpret the dump file and so you can next time.

  What is frustrating is that I have only one device (NIC) with a status of power tab and is disabled.  Also, when I did a search on the Internet for each of these four parameter codes reported, none of them have been found. I guess the stamped are perhaps the spell name of
  special devices in the order more likley to less likely candidate as the cause of the closure.

  It is an older machine, but all the drivers and BIOS are the latest available. (GigaByte 8I1000PE). I built it myself and there work very well under WinXP SP1 - SP3. Feeding is 550W. All cards are 'green', and less than half of the locations are full. MS has had a few KB patches for problems of closure. Installed, but no difference. Nothing wrong with my 4 GB RAM DDR800 Corsair, bonus either. I understand that there is a problem with NTOSKTNL.exe for over ten years.

  Other ideas that the few valuable I see here and on the TechNet site appreciated.  Curiously, however, most of the concerns has to do with laptops. Mine is a desktop - which should have far fewer problems of POV material.
