• 2000 laptop, HP - spare battery?

  I'm kinda a failure when it comes to tech talk, so it's quite possible miss me just something in my research (if so - sorry and thanks for the help!).

  You wish to order a spare battery for my laptop HP 2000. I found batteries that are compatible with the 2000 series, but they always list an additional model number. My HP Support Assistant and fn + key ESC PN my computer laptop as simply 'HP 2000 Notebook PC' from the list, but cannot find a battery that lists it (without additional characters in the PN model). When I search '2000 PC portable HP' in the field of the PN, or by product number or order number, the HP parts store it comes up with an error every time. I'm going crazy? Does anyone know what replacement battery, I need? Or at least the specifications?

  I don't think that lenovo made a laptop for the Germany and designed a notebook different to the Canada. I think you'd be very well just order a battery of the Canada.

It shows me in the specifications of the laptop used by your system a power adapter 90 W and a Lithium-Ion battery (Li-ion) 8 cells 480385-001.  Here is a link to your manual page 40.

  As the machine is fairly new, do a google search does not show all the results on the above part number/specifications battery (it can also due the fact that the battery is huge, and is customized to fit only with the Ideacentre skyline)

  My original battery appears to be dead.  I ran several tests using information I found on this forum.  (I have a 0% available, hip, does not support message on the battery in the status bar icon).  I ordered a replacement battery which was not OEM.  Battery is not recognized despite updating the BIOS but also checking uninstall battery under Device Manager. Return this battery.

  I went through HP for a new OEM battery, only to be told to go to Impactcomputers.com for the purchase of replacement.  Still, I bought the battery recommended by HP; the company had only non - OEM, but this is where HP sent me.  This battery does not register either.

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question about your m6-1205dx HP ENVY Notebook and questions with the correct battery. Here is a link to your Manual 26, page and it shows that the original was a 62WHr of 6 cell 2.8 Ah lithium-ion battery 6 cells, with a part number 671731-001. If a new battery is not considered perhaps there is a problem with the motherboard and charge.

  You will need to test in a repair center to ensure that what is a failure.

  I need a new battery for my laptop because the original is no longer his load. The original is a 6-cell battery. I found compatible spare batteries that are 12 cells. How do you know it will fit? I would like a replacement which will contain charges for a longer period of time, that's why I'm interested in the 12 cells. Any suggestions?

  There is a part number compatible battery 12 cells: 511884-001. The battery with this part number is listed as compatible, so it will certainly go into your laptop. Use google shopping. Also, I tried it myself and found a few on amazon.com or ebay.com.

• Defective spare battery - seller says I need to update BIOS - advice needed

  Any advice will be appreciated.

  I bought a spare online battery for my laptop. Since the replacement of the battery, the PC has increased its noise level (IE more often that otherwise seems overwork), so I did a "HP Battery Check" and the result States "one or several cells don't work properly. I contacted the seller, and they say I need to update my BIOS.

  I'm a little worried about it for several reasons:
  1. the software clearly indicates that the battery is not working properly.
  2. the computer and all other software works well.
  3. I have never played with before BIOS and after googling "update of the BIOS", almost all suggest "DO NOT go" unless: you know what you do / the problem is clearly a related problem of BIOS (HP State diagnostics is the battery... and shows no system other problems).

  I'm ok with the replacement of hard drives, RAM etc and treat fairly confident with most software and hardware problems, but I never tried to update a BIOS... and as I need my laptop (and all software running on this subject at the moment) and do not want to go through the stress of venturing into uncharted territory on a current PC - I'm more tempted to just buy another battery from a different company and put this to a bad experience online, as the seller does not simply want for refund or Exchange (as much as the cost of replacing the battery... still!... compared to the opening of a world of problems after trying to update a BIOS which seems to work very well anyway!).

  As I said, any advice would be really appreciated

  Details of the laptop: HP G70 111EA laptop, Intel Core Duo T5800 @ 2.00 GHz, 3 GB RAM, Vista Home Premium (32 bit).

  If the purchased battery has been specified in the appropriate type for your computer, I see no reason why a BIOS update would make a difference. More likely, the seller hope you will turn your computer into a brick by updating the BIOS, making it a moot issue bad battery.

  Before you start, I would do anything I can to put in place from an outside source if the battery is actually defective. If you do not know someone with a similar laptop, a computer store or from taking the battery might check what said you that your software. A bad cell in a battery is usually obvious by a voltage drop so that the battery either distributes the specified voltage or it is not.

  If the battery is really bad, they know you ship the battery to them (signature required) and then proceed to cancel any credit card (or other method of payment online product/service) charges. While online sales generally operate at profit margins very tight, which, in itself, does not not to honour a request for an exchange of the product. Stop payment on an item usually attracts attention.

• HP Pavilion DV6000 - turn on with battery problem

  Here's my problem. This DV6000 I have 6 years. Recently, my battery and it seems that the loader does not load, so I don't know if it's the battery or if it is the charger or something else.

  I have some kind of problem with the power supply if adapter. The power connector on the laptop is not very safe, so whenever I plug in the power adapter I have to play with the plug of the power adapter until I see the blue light on the laptop turned on.  At this time there the Flash to recharge the battery lights as well.

  I turn on the computer and as soon as the operating system is turned on in the taskbar it shows the message "connected, load" but it will never charge the battery.

  I thought maybe the battery is the problem and I bought another battery, original HP and it shows the same message but battery does not charge.

  So, my questions are:

  -is the AC connector inside the laptop my problem?

  -C' is the power adapter the problem?

  - or is it the battery?

  I would love to give more information, but I don't know what to put here, so I hope that someone can have more knowledge about similar issues.

  PS: I search on the internet but in most cases the message was plugged, NOT supported, but this isn't my case.

  First of all you must have an identical adapter to check that if that's the problem, in most cases, the issue was with the connectors of the battery or battery controllar.
