HP DV7 laptop keyboard

I have a laptop HP DV7 with the VICTORY. 8 pro (included with VISTA, but I have 8 loads to WIN when it first came out).  Sometimes, I had a problem with some keys on the keyboard, display of symbols different to those indicated on the key itself.   Most of the time, the case has been resolved (I don't remember how it was resolved) but now I have several keys to output incorrect symbols, in fact I can't even type my e-mail address because the 'at' sign will not be printed.  Several other keys do weird things as well.    My question would be "how to go back to appropriate symbols?

They just started working properly again, I hit a few keys (numlock, insertion, etc.) in frustration just before posting this message and voila, they are back.  Can someone tell me what the key or combination of keys I typed for that to happen in case I need it again? I tried to find a site that could explain the issues of keyboard but without any luck so far.

Any help is appreciated.

  • need a laptop keyboard and hard drive HP product number

    Hi all!!!

My laptop keyboard and hard drive does not properly and I need to replace the two points. but I do not know the exact number of the product of the keyboard and the disk hard drive.  A knowledge of the product number please help me.

Product model: HP Pavilion g6 - 1011TU Notebook

    Product number: LQ893PA

    Thank you

    Migas

You will find figures for the product here in the service of maintenance & guide for the laptop G6.  As far the hard drive will I highly recommend that you use SATA instead of SATA2 or SATA3 for the best compatibility with the interface of disk on the system board controller.

my laptop keyboard is not working. His pavilion G6 2228TU model please help me.

    Hello

This could be a hardware problem, but it is always worth trying the following.

Open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand keyboards, "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" right click and select uninstall.

When you are finished, stop the laptop - if you're running Windows 8 or 8.1, do it by holding down the button SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

Then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    Kind regards

  • Laptop keyboard not working not

My laptop keyboard finally quit, and I can not connect after that it resets the last time. The vowels are not working so I can't sign into Windows to my docs or anything like that!  What I have to reinstall Windows, and if so, will I lose all of my docs, photos, etc.?  My last backup was some time ago and I know that it doesn't have some of the things that I need.  For some reason any just vowels do not work, and I have vowels in my password.  Unfortunately, I just had the Mac and did not transfer all I need my laptop again.

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the laptop?
    2. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

    Method 1
I suggest to connect the external keyboard and try to connect.

    Method 2

Once you log in, then I suggest you try the steps from the following link:

  • laptop keyboard outputs incorrect strikes after unplugging the usb keyboard.

I use a laptop Twinhead on which I plugged a Microsoft Natural keyboard for a while. Now when I did start, the laptop keyboard hit mixed-up and incorrect. I tried updating the driver, but it seems difficult that bing can't seem to get the - numbers - update. I noticed to form this forum that people have had a similar problem with connect a keyboard external usb. the solution was to press Fn + numberlock. It worked. Should I seriously to do forever when I use the keyboard of the laptop instead of a usb keyboard? There must be a good way to solve this problem, not a workaround solution.

USB keyboard will automatically use a HID Driver and the driver disappears when I unplug it. The laptop keyboard still does not properly.

I would probably uninstall the keyboard through Control Panel > system > hardware > device driver. Then right-click on the keyboard and uninstall it. Make a hard re-boot, then use the restore disc provided with most computers to re - install your keyboard.

  • Can I attach multiple external monitors to my Pavillion dv7 laptop?

I have a monitor connected via the HDMI interface, and I would like to have another one is attached as well. Can I use the VGA port (either a dish - I don't kjnow not what it's called) and have the instructors work together?

    Thank you!

    -Jerry

(Windows Vista, Pavillion dv7 laptop computer)

    Hello, Jerry:

Theoretically, you should be able to connect monitors as you have video ports.

As I don't have your model, I can only speculate.

I know that's true for desktop (where the embedded video is handicapped by an add on card).

In my view, that the other HDMI-looking port is a display port.

The ability to rotate the screen image is a characteristic of your video
card, to help work with instructors who turn to the portrait
orientation. Almost certainly you accidentally press on Ctrl-Alt, and
    an arrow key.
    Rotate using these keys.

    No!

I can't be sure, but very likely problem is not the keyboard
malfunctions, but rather that she brushes accidentally his hand
    against the touchpad while typing.

  • Laptop keyboard replacement

Hello, I was wondering if I can replace my laptops with a backlit keyboard. The laptop is a HP Pavilion n267sa 15. Can someone advise me? Thanks in advance.

Lol either HP set disc a backlit keyboard up or not. He needs a power connector on the motherboard (which you didn't) and without it, you cannot use a backlit keyboard. In addition, there are no backlit keyboard made that should be. Laptop keyboard is a model-specific genre they are designed.
