  At the start of my satellite 3000-514-Notebook, which contains 2 banks of memory of 256 MB each, the upper 256 MB Bank very often is not recognized more, and my laptop runs on 256 MB only.   A technician can test the memory slots with different memory modules and after these tests, it can give you a detailed report.

  I don t think that everyone here will give you a 100% solution. We can speculate and it s something wrong with the memory module or the motherboard. But a test is necessary to ensure the fault.

  The Intel Turbo Memory does not work in my Qosmio G40 Windows 7. I tried different ways to install the drivers but only the work of the Intel Matrix Storage Console.

  2. System Configuration window appears on the screen.
  3. click on the tab named "boot".
  4. click on "Advanced Options" and uncheck the box 'memory Maximum.

  The laptop should recognize both with no problems

  But back to your question;
  The slots should be marked as 0 and 1. You should find these numbers somewhere near the machines slot, but once more, you can use both modules in different locations ;)

  By reformatting the hard drive you really upgrade the HD and increasing memory is a fairly simple process, so you should not invalidate your warranty.

  However if you open any part of the laptop including the crypt of memory you should make sure what you are doing and can get compatible memory, preferably set in correspondence cards.

  The software you need to merge partitions on your hard drive while running Vista is "Paragon Partition Manager. Symantec Partition Magic does not work with Vista. You don't need to reformat your hard drive, but you'd be advised to backup your critical data before the merger. A word of warning before you do anything, if the second partion maintains records of resettlement for Vista if you encounter a failure, then after you merged the two partitions, the files will remain but the relocation will not work. This is because when you insert the disc to reinstall it will search that partition. A round way, that it is to make an image of your drive before you do anything, then you can always copy of backup image and reinstall your Vista back to the factory setting.

  If you have noticed that I posted above ask you about a memory problem because I also want 2 GB to 4 GB, but it won't have it.

  I'm trying to create a histogram 24 bits of code for a 24-bit ADC. For further processing of these data, I need all of the bins to be stored, i.e. I found that the histogram in the functions palette VI will not work for 24 bits of data, I'm LV 2010 but on 32-bit Windows XP, (with ~ 4 of RAM)

  Even at a more basic level if I try init an empty array with 2 ^ 24 U32 elements (and therefore 16 M elements in the table) each index of the array represents a code adc and is incremented each time it is acquired. When I initialize and start using such a table I get "out of memory". I would have thought that 16 M elements was not a huge group of data and it is not difficult to find of 16 MB of memory contiguous with allocation of 2G of the application by the operating system.

  I was wondering if anyone had a proper of the present explanation or she might suggest a way around this problem.

  I would change one or two things:

  1. As the shift register is not initialized, the memory usage will be low until the first time that the VI is run in the init mode, date to be allocated to run the memory. It is preferable to assign at compile time as in my modification.
  2. I would recommend an initialized overall feedback node, eliminating the while loop. It also provides an initialized array if the user forgets first run init. (the implementation of the same with a shift register would need also the ' premiere' primitive?).
  3. I move the code init before the code of the histogram, which allows to init and calculate a new histogram at the same time.

  I have problems with Windows 7, do not play videos on websites of third parties. Loading continues running and nothing happens. I tried many fixes and I came across this several times. Says virtual memory reallocated. Now my computer says minimum allocated is 16 MB, recommended 24668 mb, currently assigned 16312 mb. I'm just curious as to what should be my custom settings. If I enter in 16 MB minimum custom I get a window that indicates if windows errors it may not be enough to tell me what the error was if less 800 MB is used.   OK, so I'm having trouble with the % of comments Mem. I have a virtual machine that has 2 GB of memory. Fords % mem shows 91%, if I look at resources counters, that it shows that 1.7 GB is active, but the task in the virtual machine Manager shows that I am only using 800MB, I have a problem with how these number all relate.   Ron, the Task Manager is not aware of VM.

  You need to do 1 of 2 things.

  (1) using ESXTOP on your ESX host

  (2) (it is betetr I would say)-install the VMTOOLS, then use performance monitor. When you open perfmon, you will see the countersd have been added to the tool - such as the memory of the virtual computer. the stats you get it will be more accurate.
