Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or EliteBook have more strict security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

Before that I lost my password I was using fingerprint authentication, but this was replaced after reinstalling windows7.

Did you install the AuthenTec fingerprint driver and your software security tools protect?

I tried some tools that I found on the internet, which didn't work (has no brick anything either) and that the seller says they do not have the password. They will resume, but I would like to make it work if I can. I have the SKU, series a UUID. Thank you

    Hello:

Contact technical support HP... to the USA/Canada, call this number... 1-800-334-5144

Explain the situation to the technology.  I think that they can send you some sort of file BIOS that you can run to clear/unlock BIOS P / w.

  • EliteBook 2170p: administrator BIOS password reset

I bought a used laptop on ebay and installed Windows 7 above. I am able to use it very well.

But the BIOS is protected by an administrator password that I can not understand how to clear.

I tried to reset/reinitting but TPM module which has not helped.

It would reset if I pulled the RTC battery for repair? I don't want to open up the laptop

and delete the parts unless I know this could work.

The only reason I want to reset it's because Bluetooth is disabled in the BIOS for a reason any.

    Thank you is advanced!

    Welcome to Dimitri.

Remove the RTC battery will not work!

There is no master password for ProBooks or EliteBook.

Sorry, but you have to contact HP support.

  • HP EliteBook 840 G3: Why BIOS version 01.07 (sp76235) is pulled? (G3 EliteBook 840)

Anyone know why the BIOS version 01.07 (sp76235) for EliteBook 840 G3 is taken?

    Link to the BIOS:
    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=ob_167436_1 & swEnvOid = 4054

The date is 1 January 3000 so he has obvisoly something wrong and HP do not want to install, I have deployed it to a large number of machines and would like to know what kind of questions, it is hoped.

A new version 01.10 came out with these fixes:

-Fixes a problem that causes the display to become visually distorted (flicker).
-Fixes an issue where a system running Windows 7 with active hard drive encryption is unable to power (boot) after the BIOS is updated.
-Prevents the BIOS downgraded below the 1.09 version.

NOTE: After loading the BIOS version, older versions of BIOS may not be installed.
