HP ENVY 120: scanning of multiple pages in one same task

I was able to scan multiple pages into a single PDF. Since last week when I replaced the ink cartridges (both HP) I can't do more. The ASNA creates two separate files: namesake, a _1 and the other _2. Two separate PDF files. How can I do the scan keep two pages (3 or 4 and so on) in a single PDF file?

I did not change anything else than cartridges.

Welcome @Tche2015,

Thank you for your participation in the forums! I see that you encounter problems, scanning of multiple documents in a file on Mac. I'd love to help you.

I have provided a few steps to check the settings of the scan to PDF.

Once the analysis is complete, click on send in the lower right corner.

Click the folder from the list.

Then down to the next window, click on the menu down next to Format and select PDF.

(if you want to save multiple files in a folder, uncheck Save all items in a single file next to content.

Select the location where you want to save the file.

And then click Save.

If you're still having problems, fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

  • Repair disk permissions:

    • Click on your desktop so that it is written next to the Apple Finder icon, and then click Go (you'll see it next to the Finder after file, edit and view).

    • In the context of Go, click Applications.

    • In Applications, select utilities.

    • In the Utilities folder, you will see the disk utility, double-click on this icon to open the disc utilities.

    • Click on your hard drive, and then click first aid. Click Run to allow it to run.

Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

Click on printers and scanners.

Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Type the name and the correct password.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

Feel free to click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'Thumbs Up' If this helped. Please let me know the results. Best regards

    @TXXpress

Assuming for now your printer to provide the "Document Scan" and the little "+" feature, you don't have to have the "Preview Scan" selected.

    See:

If all else fails, you can try to use a different program to scan multiple pages into a single document.

I don't have the same printer model - I can't comment properly on scan "slow".

    • In general, the printers to "do a bit of everything" cheaper still not 'all' as well as more expensive printers, a full service.

Other things that could cause a "slower than ideal: sweep

    • Wireless, if they are available and used to connect the printer, may cause slow response - which can be attributed to anything between a bad router and a bad signal for a slow wireless card in the printer or the computer.  The answer "slower than snail" may be caused by the network is too busy with other wireless / network diagram.

Finally, the "so slow I want to die" may be caused by the printing software - programs sometimes even 'good' can develop problems just hanging out on the computer for awhile.  You can remove the program from the printer and then replace it with a new copy of the software service Support full page for the Web site of your printer.

  • Why not DC use multi hearts to OCR multiple pages at the same time?

My only use for acrobat is scanning to PDF. Since the processors of today have 4 cores or more, why is it not possible to OCR multi-core? Scanning and OCR of 500 pages is extremely slow, I don't see why each kernel cannot make a page at the same time perhaps then he could cope with the scanning speed.

I have 4 hearts and 16 GB of ram under DC win10 and it is as slow as my machine AMD Athlon dual core that was running XI under win7 and I would say the same thing as version 9 in xp.

Whenever I've updated, I expect improved performance to find only "features" that are of little use to me and no speed or observable performance improvement.

When can I expect this ability to be integrated with acrobat?

    Greg,

Adobe technical support cannot help you with this. They support the existing features and are not an outlet to provide improvements to software applications. Sorry!

You should take the above suggestion was offered to make a feature request at: feature request/Bug Report Form

Frankly, the current capacity of OCR in Acrobat is not designed for industrial power, such as 500 + documents scanned page work. The OCR function will need to be substantially updated to be a multithreaded and use multiple cores. It would also probably a version of Acrobat 64-bit Windows due to OCR address space requirements.

In the meantime, if your document management needs include large amounts of work OCR PDF files, make you want to explore third-party solutions, stand alone or even Acrobat plug-ins server programs that can meet your requirements.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: Problem with multiple Pages into one file

I just bought an OfficeJet Pro 6830 problem and have the scanning of several pages in a PDF document.

I checked and the box advanced settings/file/create a separate file for each page is disabled, but it will not always combine pages.  Registration prompt window upward after finishing first scan.

Previously I use Desktop 4580 without any problems and the file to automatically create the folder of the current month in Myscan and analysis enable the scan file be save.  It seems that this function was also missing.

    Please advise.  Thank you.

    Hello

Scan you from the glass flat or the top of the charger page?

If you use the charger to top of the page, the pages must be taken and analyzed before the scan to finish.

If you use glass, ensure that the box show the display after scanning is enabled and press scan, click on the button "+" under the preview of scanning to scan the next prior pages by clicking Save.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 prints multiple pages of the same document

    Info:

    HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809a

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

Last driver and firmware from HP

When a job is sent to the printer (web, Word, Acrobat, etc.) the printer keeps printing multiple pages of the document.  Sometimes it will print the first page and a second partial page, then it reprinted again and stop at the same place on the partial page.  She does over and over again.  I ran the HP Diagnostic Utility and it was impossible to print a test page, even after turning the power on power off, then on.   Any suggestions, or is * another * bad printer?  The first was sent and replaced, so I think that this model is just a lemon.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work.  I tried to reinstall the driver altogether package three times with no result.  I ran the utility programs that supposedly allows you to solve problems, but public services could not even to generate a test page.

It seems that I finally found a solution, however.  I installed an older driver for MS Vista 64-bit, and that seemed to do the trick.

  • Print multiple pages on one sheet

I use Adobe Reader and you want to print two copies of the same document on the same sheet. It does not allow me to do that no matter the settings, I put in the print dialog box or the printer driver. I said "up to 2" and the paper size is 18 x 12, the document itself is 8.5 x 11, so there should be plenty of room. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you

    Mark

According to my understanding of your problem, you have a PDF of a page, and you need to print 100 copies of the same page by page, scaling of multiple Pages per sheet.

If this is the problem then cannot this using a combination of Copies and multiple Pages per sheet function.

  • Printing multiple pages on one large page

I have a document with several pages. The dimensions of these pages are in. 25 "wide x 44" in. high. Our cutting machine operator said that the machine works best with a long roll of material, so it can be feed cutter, instead of printing each page at a time. My question to you all is, somehow know Indesign to print all my pages continuously without the printer cut each page after printing? I read something about the pictures, but I like to keep my 100% pages in size. I would also avoid having a document with dimensions as 25 "in. wide by 150 ft. Any help would be much appreciated.

This should be a driver configuration, I think.

How to earn money at home

    No necessary headache.

Offers Dreamweaver templates and library items (both are features of DW who work locally).

The web offers generically Server Side Includes (not a specific feature of DW, work server side, where the name)

The downside of templates and library items, is that once you have updated the model or library item (code snippet) and then locally update all pages that exploit them, you then upload to the server all the pages that have changed. Could be hundreds of pages to download whenever you perform a single edition.

Server Side Includes are much better. They are extracted from files that are "included" in the page on the server when the page is sent to the browser. Make a unique edition in a single file Include (for example your Sidebar). Download a tiny Include file. All pages in your Web site are instantly updated.

SSIs are perfect for navbars, boxes, headers, footers, copyright notice, price lists etc. Any repetitive content that appears on several pages really.

For me, SSIs changed the maintenance of the website of a dreaded chore (templates and library items) in a pleasure that I am happy to do it regularly.

  • scanning multiple pages to the single PDF using HP ENVY 4500

The guide says scan of the computer (as opposed to scanning from printer).  I do that and still can't scan multiple pages into a single PDF file.  Is it still possible?

    Hi griff0530,

I understand that you want to scan multipage documents into a single .pdf file using your HP Envy 4500, yes it is quite possible.  When you use the HP software on your computer, follow the steps below:

    1. loading the document.

    2. click on scan . An overview of the analysis is displayed (by default).

Important : the Preview Scan function must be enabled for scan multiple pages into one file documents. Additional pages from the original are added for the single file in the Scan preview window.

    3. in the scan preview is displayed, do one of the following actions:

Click the sign Plus () on the left side of the window to scan additional pages. If you do not use an ADF, you must load the next page of the document on the glass of the scanner to add to each additional page.

    4. click on Save to capture the scanned file, but leave open the HP Scan.

    5. click on done to capture the scanned file and close HP Scan.

If you are using any other operating system, it's ok the same steps apply. I hope that's what need you!

How to scan multiple pages into one PDF document?

    Hey coolmanoh,

There is a document containing information on how to perform analysis with the Officejet 4620.  The document explains how to scan multi-page documents into a single file.  As sabretooth04 said, the HP scanning software should have a + box to add additional pages in the scanned document.

Please take a look at the document and let me know if it is able to achieve the desired result.  The document can be found by clicking here.
