HP ENVY 17 t-j000 Quad Edition: changed the user account to the administrator... now it's locked password

I changed my account usually type the administrator using the administrative BACK command:

.

Myuserid NET USER ADMINISTRATOR / ACTIVE: YES

The prompt saying returned the command has been completed successfully.   I noticed that my account is still listed as regular, then I restarted the system.  Now I'm locked!  Apparently, he has a default password.

.

I did not use a password with this account (myuserid), so I don't understand why it now requires one.     Someone has an idea what password he needs?  Please, how can I fix it?

[Personal information]

Hello

Without the help of any password recovery software, have you tried the rest of the procedure "How to reset a Windows 8 password" contained in the above article. It is thanks to access Advanced Boot Options - command prompt.

If this does not work, maybe someone else can help you. I don't know other options other than what I suggested unfortunately.

    Hello

The old HDD on your machine is a little thicker, but at least 4 screws I do not think that new SSD will circulate in the case. I have actually put new SSD in one of my laptop (not HP) and no problem, BUT I don't move this laptop. If so, blue tac can help.

  • HP Envy 15 t-j000 Quad Edition: screws fell off the bottom of the HP ENVY

Hello. Anyone know the size and type of the screws from the bottom of the HP Envy 15 t-j000 Quad Edition ? These are the small screws that hold the bottom cover of the laptop basically. Somehow mine fell and it is causing many problems. The tilt is extremely limited to a specific position. Disturb the position of the laptop while it is will cause a weird vibration because of the fan on the left side.

If someone could let me know what is size and the type of screws used to lower cover , and where I could find them, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

What happened to the HP Software and Driver Downloads for my HP ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad Edition CTO Notebook Model # C8P48AV built in July 2013? There were 58 results software and driver for Windows 8.1 64-bit last week when I printed the list last week. Today, I received the following message when I tried my laptop:

We were able to find the drivers for your product. Pilots may be developing, so please, check back at a later date or visit the product home page.

How the hell could all disappear? I hope it's temporary! Extremely disappointed with HP support.

Thank you banhein! Support page for the software and drivers for my model is back! Happy, it was only a temporary problem.

  • Lack of controller driver PCI Communications Simple - Windows 8 x 64 - HP ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad Edition

I downloaded and installed all the drivers for my product - HP ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad Edition (E4T17AV) - and it still shows a lack of PCI Simple Communications Controller Driver. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

    Is the hardware ID

    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_8C3A & SUBSYS_1963103C & REV_04
    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_8C3A & SUBSYS_1963103C
    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_8C3A & CC_078000
    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_8C3A & CC_0780

    Nope.

That is probably why it is not installing.

The driver is designed for RAID configurations.

I know it does not install not in IDE mode, but I wasn't sure of the AHCI mode.

If you want the latest AHCI driver for your configuration, you can get it directly from Intel on the link below.

    The first file listed.

Download and unzip it into a folder.  Do the manual update method by going to Device Manager, and then click to expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers category.  Click the listed SATA AHCI controller.  Click on the driver tab, click on put up-to-date driver, reselect the thing browse and navigate to the folder that you extracted the drivers to.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and should install the updated driver.

  • Hiding HP ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad Edition w/SSD and hybrid propulsion system. Swap disk for one SSD Question.

    Hi all!

I bought the HP ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad Edition and opted for the WSSD 24Go cache as well as the hybrid drive 1 TB. Do I have a problem just buy a kit of cloning and spend the hybrid propulsion system to a full on SSD in the future if I choose to?

I did some research but I can't isolate an answer if yes or no I might encounter problems on account of the Intel RST be "associated" with the traditional HARD drive caching.

So I wonder if I can't just simply disable acceleration of RST, clone HARD drive for an SSD via a cloning kit, remove the HARD and the SSD drive and call it a day?

Any help with this is appreciated!

    Purgingomen wrote:

Thanks for the info but I was even more so, I was wondering if I would have a problem Exchange with a new SSD hybrid drive later by cloning.

I thought that I would stick with the 8 GB of RAM and WSSD combo of cache/HDD for now and sometimes down the line (as in a year or two) to get rid of the HARD drive for a full on SSD, disable caching and at the same time move to 16 GB of RAM.

But I don't know if yes or no the WSSD cache/HDD combo makes it difficult to clone and swap the HARD drive and then just leave the disc of "cache" of 24 gigas (which is more a cache drive) there to be upgraded later.

Well, I think a pure 2.5 "SSD should work on the system but make sure the cache is removed. For the purposes of cloning, I suggest using the DD command:

  • ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad Edition disk hard thickness

I'm looking to replace the hard drive in my ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad Edition with an SSD. HP site is not currently in the thick of the preinstalled hard drive. I'd rather get an ssd that leaves no extra unused space in the computer. What is the thickness of the hard disk installed in the ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad edition so I can pass to an ssd the same size? Thank you.

    Hello

It is very safe to use 7mm thick, as mentioned in my first answer.

    Hello

What is the new portable Haswell? This laptop supports modules SODIMM DDR3 1600 MHz, but take a look what original config is. HP uses memory especially two modules config so if there are already 8GB it will be probably 2 x 4 GB modules. I recommend this one:

  • HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad Edition: replace the motherboard for HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook PC

    HI guys,.

I have "HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook PC"

    Serial number: (deleted content)

    Product number: E1P04AAR

Bought a laptp renovated off eBay from someone with thousands of positive feedbacks. It worked great for 6-7 months and then one morning it has not started up. I tried everything, called Hong Kong HP support and even bring to the service center, but was not able to get it fixed because this model was never launched in Hong Kong...

I tried calling HP we support and they would fix it for $ 300 + and that too, I send this laptop in the USA to someone I know and then HP will come from there. Is not possible.

So now what I'm trying to do is to look for the replacement of the motherboard, this is what im says does not work. I searched and found these links - I need to know if it is OK for my model?

It will be a great help if you guys allow me to know which of them is compatible with the model above.

    Thank you!!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in on your HP ENVY 17 t-j000 Notebook and your issues with HP Recovery Manager. If she has deleted this partition completely, you will need to use your recovery CD or USB key you created when you bought your laptop. Here is a link to use the HP Recovery Manager.
