  My product is the HP ENVY 15 TS laptop.

  Product number: E7Z34UA #ABA

  OS: 8.1 64-bit Windows

  A few days ago, I opened my laptop to find that there is no sound coming from the speakers at all. I was completely baffled because the audio was working perfectly fine before, even after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I tried several solutions posted on other forums, such as install other drivers and uninstall the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and then scan for hardware changes. Now, however, when you try to update the driver IDT, it says that a peripheral attatched to the system does not work. What should I do?

  Hello skyeisthelimit. I understand there is no sound emitted by the mobile phone. According to the description, I think that the question is focused on software. However, I won't remove the defective hardware of my mind. You have attempted a few troubleshooting, which is excellent. I'll provide some troubleshooting facilities (some steps you already completed). Please follow troubleshooting all in order, I suggest:

  First of all, there are some tutorial of Microsoft Assistant that solves the problems of sound in Windows 8.1. Please follow the wizard until it is finished.   Assuming that the problem is not resolved, the next step is to refresh of Windows 8. This will force the computer to return to Windows 8. It will also clean the computer, to a certain extent (it is not as powerful as a recovery).   A week ago, that I was just my computer, then the screen froze. And these multicolored static places and lines that presented themselves. I had to force the laptop to stop because he would not recover.
  Whenever I start it normally it will load and then finally a blue screen. I don't never even put my password.
  Safe mode is the only way to make it, I can manage work (as in the picture).

  It's a bad screen or a bad mother. I'd rather the motherboard. The way to test is to connect an external monitor and see if an image appear right on it. If Yes, then the problem is the screen. If the lines and are also on the external monitor then the motherboard video system gone wrong. Please report back if you need assistance.

  So just a week after the arrival of my new desktop PC (earlier this year), I had a massive failure of hardrive. I have access in a similar to several corporations hardware industry and had several including a beautiful 248 G SSD kingston hardrives onsite. I needed this system running and had no time to wait than the lead time of him having returned repaired, about 7-10 days. Yes, it was a huge mistake that has made this system essentially unusable. I did not like the unit running windows 8.1 because it was not a touch screen. I got a new Windows 7 Pro, which I installed it and he posted fine and oots upwards in seconds. No audio beats, but it's not really my thing, no biggie. I can not find information on obtaining network, adapters, Lan, Wan drivers and basically can not access my services Adobe CC, which is my main fucntion. I have since bought a Dell and never have a problem with sys op separate etc.. I return to the problem of tis after several monts and decided I will ive it oe more attempt and them I think Im going to test the aerodynamic viability of this office. I am sure that it will fly ut Im not confident on its ability to land without damage! Please help if you can.

  A few months ago, I tried to fix a few audio problems I mentioned in another thread, and I uninstalled my Audio Realtek driver. I realize now that might have this audio driver help me with something else, and I tried to get it back. I went to the Web Realteks site and installed the HD Audio driver for my OS, and he went through the installation process and restarted my computer. However, the driver does not appear in my device manager (I also checked the hidden drivers). I have the files for it in my program (x 86) and my C:/drivers/Win/Audio file, but is not in my device manager. In ADDITION, the Realtek HD Audio Manager (what I really want to go back) is not found.   I know there posted solutions, but my problem is a little different though. My sound is flunctuate only when I looked at Amazon prime (perhaps other streaming websites too, but it's the one I use), so I followed a solution posted on a thread here, where I went to the Manager device and under the sound, I replaced a driver of speakers by another, who was already on my computer. The thing is that now the volume and the overall sound quality is way worse and I can't seem to find a way to get back to it... Can someone please. Thank you!!

  A few days ago, I upgraded my windows to windows 8 to 8.1 windows and found that no noise from HDTV when hook up my HDMI cable however video is perfectly fine. I was completely baffled because the audio was working perfectly fine before the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I tried several solutions posted on other forums, such as install other drivers and uninstall the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and then scan for hardware changes. I checked the HDMI cable and it works very well with the other laptop.

  Device Manager is needle 2 device:

  When I open the properties of the audio device high definition, that is to show:

  This device cannot start (code 10)

  {Operation failed}
  The requested operation failed.

  If anyone knows how to solve the problem, please help me

  Audio driver IDT (portable speakers) seems to work very well.

  The problem is probably with the Intel graphics driver that controls the HDMI audio.

  My recommendation would be to install the latest Intel graphics driver from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.

• HP Envy 17 t j100: deleting Beats Audio

  Hello.

  I searched the forum and followed the instructions to remove the Beats Audio crapware.  Unfortunately, after removing it reinstalls itself.

  The instructions are:

  • Press Windows + R.
  • Type msconfig and click OK.
  • Click the Startup tab.
  • Uncheck the IDT Audio from PC.  It is not possible on 8.1 - can only disable
  • Click apply.
  • Reset.
  • Press on Windows + R.
  • Type devmgmt.msc , and then click OK.
  • Expand sound, video and game controllers.
  • Right click on IDT device and click Uninstall
  • Select the check box to remove the driver.
  • Reset

  So I did all that with the change in red.  The next time that I restarted, IDT reinstalls itself and beats audio is still active.

  What is strange, is that the Audio driver IDT High Def showing is a product of Ms.  Bat is not.  But there are a lot of SRS DLLs listed.   I don't know how many of these problems are related to hardware and how is 8.1.  I got beats on my computer Windows 8 with no problems.  But all of a sudden with this new computer running 8.1, I can't change anything.   Well this is not true, I can change everything and restart seems to reset at the front.

  Thanks for any help.  I'm trying to get Asio4All to work, but it is apparently not compatible with Beats, that causes the problem.  And Asio work is much more important to me than the beats.

  I understand that you want to remove with Beats Audio from your system. I'm happy to help you.

  In Notepad HP Beats Audio edition, Beats Audio software is part of the IDT Audio driver. You can try to remove your current IDT driver and install a compatible version not Beats Audio. Or you can use the generic operating system driver.

  Hi, I've recently refreshed my laptop. It was a horrible mistake. All my documents remained where they were, but all my applications have been erased. I had to redownload mozilla firefox, google chrome, microsoft office, HP cool sense, Adobe and many many more. I'm drawn to believe that this update also affects my sounds. I lost him. I tried to solve this problem and discovered "no audio device is installed". I also lost my control panel of beats (my laptop came with audio of the beast). I went to redownload this on the site of HP but he said that there is no update or downloads for my device because everything was already up to date. I tried to download the drivers, but this was not good. Why a driver would help me a device that apparently is not yet installed.

  Thanks guys, but I solved the problem. When I went to the HP support page to download my audio driver, he told me that everything was up-to-date. It's because I entered my operating system like Windows 10. When I said that my operating system is Windows 8.1, it gave me a list of drivers so I can install it. Even if it wasn't under my operating system (Windows, 10), I was able to download drivers for my laptop that is operational. I downloaded the correct driver for my audio devices that solved the problem.

• HP ENVY 17 Leap Motion SE: Beats Audio Controller missing after software update of the M/S

  My audio controller BEATS disappeared last night during an automatic upgrade of Microsoft software.  This has happened before, but I thought it would have got corrupted by another way.  So, I restored my drive image from a backup, a month or two before.  Audio beats was back and has worked fine until this last update was installed again last night.  My current software is:

  Windows 10 Home Edition

  Version: 1511

  Build of the OS: 10586.71

  Thanks for the comments.  It worked exactly as you said.  The only thing you mention in your reply has been that the downloaded file must be run as an administrator.  The first time I just clicked on it, and it is not due to a failure of access through.  When I right-click on the file and click on run as administrator, it ran and reinstalled the Audio Beats controller.  By the way, all the sliders on the controller to work now.  Before losing with the upgrade, the sliders of the Equalizer on the right side of the page "listening experience" did not work.
