  The file you are talking about is a Windows command (or batch) script file. All your questions that are and are not really tied to consistency.

  1% ~ dp0 is the current working directory

  2 %1 is the first parameter passed to this script when you ran it (% followed of a number corresponds to the script parameters)

  3 dir/b - If you open a CMD window in Windows (click Start-> run and type cmd.exe) and type dir /? then press enter you will see the help for the dir command where the switches will be explained (or look here [http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755121 (WS.10) .aspx])

Even if it is now at the level of the SP3, the automatic updates from the Microsoft web site will not work. If I bought the latest version of the SP3 CD-ROM, which will be the same as what I have now, or it will integrate all of the fixes that have taken place in recent years?   There is no Windows 7 driver for your printer, BUT...

  HP provide instructions that should get your printer working at least... follow them to the letter...

  BTW, the printer MUST be connected through a USB cable...

  How do you create the new layer? Looks like you have a selection and use ctrl/cmd-J. If you have a choice and it is empty, you will get this error.
