HP Envy 750-114: replacing a graphics card and opening upward

Ok. I'm already sorely regretting the purchase of any computer with a graphics card intel. I wish never to see another computer of graphics cards intel. I've got people who can advise me (somewhat) about how we replace these things. But still, in my ignorance, know that the first requirement is to open the machine. They wanted me to take a picture of the inside to give a sense of my options.

Only I can't the infernal thing open. I see what looks like should be an easy thing of twisty open, but no other screws that look like they open on one side. However, the twisty thing is totally impossible to twist. Nothing I have is able to open it.

Someone please tell me how to open this thing! There must be a way that does not require a hammer. What I want is a graphics card that works - I can't even this one to play older games (and it is for most everything I play, except star wars the old Republic.) And the last driver update that has even beaten!) The graphics card intel cheap is literally the only thing stopping me. It meets all the other requirements. But I can't yet figure out how to get the thing open so that people can give me advice on what I can replace it with.

Help, please.

I think that there is a hole in the nut as you try to turn.  In fact, you can insert the right Torx screwdriver and turn it to the left side.  This should allow you to open the case.  At least what I had to do to open the suitcase on my new HP Phoenix.  I have to admit that it was not easy to do, however.

  • No video after having replaced the graphics card and power supply

I have a desktop HP Pavilion m9515y PC. The graphics card that came with it (NVidia GeForce 9600 GS, 768 MB) did not suit the minimum specification required by a game that I played. Things in the game has been very slow - I could see a delay of s ~0.5 to move my mouse on the splash screen for the game.

Today, I bought a new graphics (NVidia Geforce GTX 550Ti, 1 GB) card and a Corsair 700W PSU to replace the 350W one that came with the system.

From the outset that I messed up something. It's been a while since I opened the box and I thought wrongly that the top panel (with the rubber surface) to come off before the side panel could be deleted. I removed the two screws now the top panel in place and slipped it in the process it disconnect and two thin black wires which I do not know the function. It was attached near the power button and one was attached to the rear of the Panel. The sons have stripped the ends rather than a connector of some sort and I don't know how they connect back or if they are the cause of the problem that I see now.

In any case, I advanced and removed the old PSU and video card and replace them with the new. Two of them are significantly larger than the components, they replaced, but they managed to adapt with some maneuvers. All cards are well-placed in the PCI slots.

The power is connected hard disk, DVD drive, the motherboard and the new video card. I'm not aware of any other connections that need to be made to food. There was not much clearance between the power supply and the back of the DVD player, but I was able to get the data and clinging to the DVD of power cables.

After having done all that, I hooked my monitor DVI cable, plugged in the power cable and turned on the power. When I plug it in, the power button on the top of the tower is illuminated and the power seems to work. However, my monitor indicates that there is no video signal. I tried to put the old return video card, but I don't always have a video signal. Because I can't get a video signal, I can't tell if the PC is start or not.

Does anyone know the purpose of the wires that were connected to the top of the Tower?

They would cause they cause this problem if they are not correctly connected?
Any suggestions for the possible causes of the absence of a signal from a video card?

I just took the PC to a repair shop and it turns out that the problem was quite simple: I don't have the PCU power cable 4 pins hanging. Everything seems to start fine when we hung out at the shop. Fortunately, the place that I took did not even charge me what as they don't charge co-pays and since it is such a simple fix.

Now I feel kind of stupid, but I know better next time...

I am to buy HP Envy 750-114 and upgrade with a graphics card.  The one I found is low power, so it will be fine with the 300 watt power supply that comes with 750-114 envy.

  • Dell external display stopped after the replacement of graphics cards

How to reinstall Dell external monitor to display my MacBook Pro 17 2011? Monitor has ceased to recognize the computer after Apple Store replaced the graphics card.

    (a) check and plug your adapter and adapter cable goes to the LCD screen

    (b) select another resolution in the displays control panel by pressing OPTION when you click on "scaling".

    (c) resets the monitor to factory conditions using the monitor Panel.

Try another LCD, or another cable or both.

If after trying this you get no video contact Apple and let them know your GPU replacement may be damaged.

  • Can I replace the graphics card on Tecra M2?

I have a Tecra M2 and the display shows verticle lines across the entire screen. These lines also appear when plugged upward on a normal screen.
I checked Device Manager and it says that the nvidia card "cannot start." The problems had me uninstall and won't reinstall, no luck.
Next option is to unplug and then plug back in, but is it possible? If it is separate would rather just replace the card. Thanks for any help.

    Chase

From your description of the error, this really sounds like a malfunction of the GPU (graphics processing unit).
Unfortunately, it is a serious offense and if a replacement of material you will not be able to fix this :(

It is a case value because you can not only replace the graphics card. You need to replace the whole motherboard because the GPU is soldered on the Board and cannot be removed easily.

There is nothing to my buddy.
Seems that you need to contact a support technician.

    Good luck

    Hi samuniv,

As you can read in 100 other threads, it of not possible to replace the graphics card because it s fixed/soldered to the motherboard. Therefore, an Exchange is not possible.

  • Satellite A-C50-1DV - replacing a graphics card

Hypothetically, if I wanted to replace the graphics card in my C50-A-1DV Satellite, how would I go on this subject?

And if I had to send my laptop, how much would it cost?

At first, I must say that upgrade or replacement of the GPU is not officially supported and all action in this sense is at your own risk.
Please note that laptop disassembly will void the warranty.

But we are talking hypothetically about all this.
What you need to do is to get new GPU, disassemble your laptop, Exchange and assemble your laptop.
On some models of computers laptop GPU is fixed on the motherboard and cannot be traded. I put t know how it is on your machine.
    > And if I had to send my laptop, how much would it cost?
If the GPU is faulty and warranty still valid best option for you is o closest contact Toshiba service provider and ask for help. In case you want to upgrade, Toshiba service will help you with this.

Can you please tell us what the problem with your machine and the original of the graphics card?

  • Satellite P100-240: is it possible to replace the graphics card

Okay, im fairly new to laptops, I had my P100-240 for just under a year.
I set up with it for long enough, its been really good to me.
The problem that has really started to check me is the graphics card, Nvidia Go 7600, it slow, Nvidia do not support updated drivers (laim).

A lot of my games have problems with this graphics card.
I'm looking at open aperture of my little baby and I hope just place in a compatible graphics card.

I'm looking to replace the Go 7600 with an alternative of ATI, a list of possible cards that will fit, where I can get my hands on one of these maps and prices if possible fuck. I won't pay too much money if it's not going to be worth.

Thanks for reading, hope to get answers soon.

    Hello

Replacing a graphics card on laptops is not possible because it is part of the motherboard. For example: by faulty graphics card, the entire motherboard must be exchanged.

Sorry but there is nothing to do.

  • Replacing a graphics card on Satellite P10

I have a Satellite P10 554 for more than 2.5 years (warranty expired). But now the display start to Flash (sometimes some horizontal strips as refreshing disorders, sometimes turns completely black,...).

Meanwhile, the laptop is frozen until the view retrieves. After flashing several times, the screen can not recover more and sometimes restart the laptop (with sometimes after a blue screen of death). If I'm lucky so far, WXP tells me that an error related with the NVIDIA driver and switch to 800 x 600 resolution asking me to restart.
This usually happens sometime after Windows XP starts, usually at the age of 5 minutes. I did not notice any software related issue and he persisted after full format and reinstall Windows XP.

In addition, the most annoying part is that when I reboot after that, the screen is still bad for the Welcome startup screen (some horizontal strips down because it was a problem refreshing). To solve the problem, I let the laptop for at least 15 minutes. When I restart 'cold', the problem is repeated after some time.

My guess is that the graphics card is broken. My laptop is installed with a 64 MB NVIDIA FX Go5600. I updated all the drivers. The same problem also appears even if I use an external monitor or TV.

My question is if I can replace the graphics card. In the specifications of the laptop indicating that the graphics card uses a port AGP 8 x. Pourrais then replace the problematic graphics card?

    Thank you

UH... maybe the question was too complicated?

Is there a way that I replace a damaged nVidia FX Go5600 64 MB in a Toshiba P10-554?

I guess that it is integrated into the motherboard, but it does not check for myself.

    Thank you, people

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable, replaceable and upgradable 'cards' in your laptop.

The graphics quite part of the motherboard, and to improve the graphics, you would have to see if there is a motherboard listed in the guide service and maintenance for your laptop that has better graphics.

Replace the motherboard would be a labor intensive and expensive project.
