HP H3Z09AA #ABA p2: 8.1 update

After update questions 8 to 8.1.  There is a second series of icons on the taskbar.  Icons are ghosts and are at the origin of the first series.  Also, when I try to delete the cache and cookies the process stops and displays the message, does not.  The computer has slowed considerably and it's maddening.  Thank you.

Chrome uninstall and restart.  IE will become the default browser, the ghost appears again?

If you do not want to use Chrome download the Windows version of this site:

https://support.Google.com/chrome/answer/95346?hl=en

When you install Chrome, choose custom instead of the Quick Setup.  This way you will be able to control what is installed and all the nonsense they give you.

  • HP Notebook X7W81UA #ABA: HP BIOS recommended update: should I update?

Hey guys. I just bought a new PC for the school and the HP Support Assistant program recommends an update the BIOS. Now, I know that the update is available, but I also know that you should only update in general if there is a problem as the BIOS update is risky if not done correctly.

Now since is a recommended update, I tried the update and there not twice. I don't want to keep taking chances to spoil a whole new machine just for an update which may even not been necessary in the first instance.

What I would like to know what exactly this release Add/fix on this machine? I already searched the Internet but have failed to find a description for this particular update. If someone could please take a look at the attached screen shot and let me know what this update is for, I would be very grateful. At least then I could make an informed decision about the weather or not, I will try again this update.

  • HP Probook T3L12UT #ABA G3 450: Audio driver issues after update of Windows 10 anniversary

After upgrading the operating system Windows (10.0.14393), Conexant driver failed. No device installed. Also in the Device Manager, Intel High Definition Audio is missing a driver. Cannot find a copy (grouped with another driver... video perhaps).

In any case, fixed the problem of driver Conexant by completely uninstall Conexant Audio ISST and re-install.

Now, my only problem is that the audio does not turn off to a HD TV plugged into the HDMI port. Video is fine, but no sound. HDMI does not show well in Audio devices.

Any ideas? HDMI port connected to the Intel High Definition Audio device?

The device for the device ID Intel HD Audio are:

    Hello:

Yes, the Intel HD audio device that needs the Intel graphics driver reinstalled.

I propose this option to install the driver, because sometimes simply reinstall the graphics driver Intel does not work.

Download and install this free utility for files.  The file 2nd on the list is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, download and save, but do not run this driver Intel graphics from the support page of your laptop.

This package provides the Intel video drivers, control panel and display audio driver for the laptop models running a supported operating system.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp75501-76000/sp75984.exe

After you download the file of the graphics driver, right-click on it and select 7 - zip from the list.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in the file name (sp75984).

When this is done, go to Device Manager and click on the Intel HDMI audio device problem requiring the driver.

    Click the driver tab.

Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-Zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC, and you should be able to get audio and video from the HDMI connection.

  • Slimline M9Z78AA #ABA: Realtek RTL8723BE and RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wireless Lan Driver Update on problem April 6 April

The update that HP did on my computer - brand new HP with Windows 10 broke my wireless adapter. Intermittently, it disables it. Also internet is slow sometimes before all the locks to the top (I use the latest browser Chrome - same problem is in internet explore and edge). A few minutes after it crashes, the wireless disconnects and reconnects not without go into the control panel and clicking on the wireless adaper - disable - enable - repeatly until it goes back.

    THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY!

With that, I called and a technical support 'fixed' it but it always does. Clearly, this is the update. The wireless worked perfectly BEFORE this update. HP PLEASE FIX THIS AND GIVE US A NEW UPDATE!

    Hello

If you're right about the update affecting Wi - Fi, and it has been fixed, and then reappeared, are you aware of what has been done to remedy this?

I think that perhaps a rollback (Restore Point prior) and temporarily disable the automatic updates and denying HP do updates either.

If you right-click on the card in the Device Manager and select Properties, you will be able to restore the pilot here.

You can try command line tools to eventually help in the command as administrator prompt, type these commands

    netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

    ipconfig/release
    ipconfig / renew

    netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

    nbtstat - RR

    netsh wlan show interfaces

    ipconfig/flushdns
    ipconfig/registerdns

    netsh winsock reset catalog

and then you may have disabled the problem.

    Thanks for posting HP forums!

I read your post and wanted to help. I understand that there is a notification to update the BIOS on your HP Support Assistant and you attempted to perform the update, but she came back after restarting the laptop.

It is not necessary to update the BIOS if the system is running right. You can reject the message of the HP Support assistant by clicking on the 'X' next to the update or message.

  • HP ProBook 650 G1 L4A21UT #ABA: windows 10 update and restore the partition

I have recently updated from Win 7 to 10 to win. I'm assuming that the Win 7 recovery partition was intact. Is this a problem?

Also, when I restarted after the upgrade, accelerometerST.exe "not found."

I googled for it and found the link to 10 to win, but I was unable to download.

Should I just ignore the missing .exe?

    Kind regards

    Joe (aka Malcolm)

    @K8MP

Creating recovery media is something done before the partition is non-functional.

The 'Upgrade' comes with the ability to 'come back' to your operating system already installed.  There is a time limit: If you want to "go back", you must do so within the 30 (or 31) days from the date / time of the migration to Windows 10.

The 'go back' is a provided Windows mechanism - it seems that the method works (to restore the previous operating system / full environment) most of the time.  The 'go back' method does not work, you prefer should be prepared to install the operating system.

Now that you have your digital license of Windows 10 (also known as the 'right'), you can "go back" or reinstall Windows 10 at a later date.  Your license for Windows 10 "sticks", in other words, Microsoft a record or your license so you can return to / install Windows 10 on this same machine.

Update Windows 10 and HP System Recovery

Your Systemis Windows 10 drivers - it is a good indicator that the computer runs Windows 10 with less problems if the system was not supported for the new OS.

If you decide to stay on Windows 10, consider using the image / ghosting software to create a "recovery disc" disc.

  • G6-2235us c2n50ua #aba Pavilion: Pavilion g6-2235us bios update failed - error msg at startup

I had hard time to upgrade to 8.1 Windows, so I made an update of the bios, as recommended by the HP Web Site, but it failed, and now the laptop will not boot.  It displays the error message "your computer must be repaired: \bcd, 0xc0000034... error code. "Additional info are available by pressing ESC, and I can't get into a black screen with options:

    F1 system information

    the F2 System Diagnostics

    F9 boot device options

    configuration of the BIOS F10

    F11 system recovery

I've been to the bottom of all of these tracks, with no luck on continue.  F10 shows me all the bios configuration screens and the version of the bios is F29, the version I tried to level to.

I tried to remove the big battery and pressing the start for a minute button - no joy.

    I tried now Windows + B + start - no joy

I guess I'm trying to create a USB key with the BIOS on this subject, and this is where I am confused.  The softpaq BIOS for this machine is sp66880.exe.  I've got that on an USB fat32 with the label of volume HP_Tools, and I've got HP tools on the stick too.  When I try to boot with the stick of pressing windows + b + start, the light on the USB flashes a lot, but in the end I get the message "the system bios recovery has failed. Could not open the bios image file.  I have a feeling that I don't have the correct configuration on this USB key.  I tried to run sp66880.exe on another computer, but he said that he will immediately Flash the bios, I really want to do (on my Toshiba laptop!).

I would be very happy any help you all can give me on how to create USB recovery key in the proper format.  Thanks in advance.

    Fixed!

It turns out that the update of the bios is really successful, but something in the hard disk boot files has been corrupted.  I got a USB key recovery Windows 8 on another machine and finagle around having HP laptop reformat the hard disk to the original factory State.  Fortunately, I made a very recent Macrium image until this most recent problem, so the next step is to restore this image.  With the new c F29 bios, I hope that this beast will finally go to Windows 8.1.

  • Pavilion 15 M1Y29UA #ABA: manual Bios Update p78

HP Support Assistant says update BIOS version p78 is available but fails during installation.  I downloaded the update to the BIOS (SP75294) and ran that manually, but it says the BIOS update is blocked (on Windows) and only gives me the option to create a recovery USB disk or copy the files to another location. I created the recovery USB and followed the instructions on the site to update the BIOS via the HP boot configuration utility, but it is said to use the bin file corresponding to the ID of the system board.  Unfortunately, the ID of the card system on this laptop is 8093 and bin files are:

    • 08092.bin
    • 0809B.bin
    • 080A0.bin
    • 080A9.bin

Anyone happen to know which of these files is the correct bin file (if any)?

    Thanks in advance.

    -DJ

    Hello @desk_jedi

    Thanks for the reply!

Try to download the new revision which was transferred yesterday and create the media as stated in the document of restoration of the BIOS, which would be the second safest way to update the BIOS. The safest way is to let the BIOS update occurred on its own thanks to the Assistant de Support HP, which may or may not have the new revision again as the site.

I hope this information was useful!

  • HP ENVY TS m7 E0K83UAR #ABA: unable to connect to wifi after update to Win 8.1

The problem is similar to another recent post. Since the update to 8.1, I couldn't access my wifi. It shows also available and has 5 bars, but it is impossible to connect. I tried to connect via the button on the router and it says that it is impossible to connect this way, enter the password. I am able to connect with another pc without problem and able to connect via cable. I am also able to connect to the laptop using my phone hotspot. I have updated the drivers on the network adapter and wireless (centrino wireless-n 2230). I contacted Microsoft and got no help from them. Any suggestions?

Understand the problem and I guess I should have checked there first. Reset us the router. I just didn't know it would be one I could connect with my old computer and was able to connect with his son-in-law. However their smart TV has not connected and my laptop running 8.1 would not connect to the router. As I said I could connect to the router via cable rigid and also connect ot my hotspot with the laptop. Live and learn I suppose.

  • update of hard drive on laptop computer Pavilion model # dv6-2043us, product # VM285UA #ABA

    Hello

    I have a HP Pavilion laptop model # dv6-2043us, product # VM285UA #ABA with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It came with a Toshiba model # MK3256GSY, 320 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache SATA 2 Hard Drive. I want to upgrade this drive to a 750 GB Western Digital model WD7500BPKT # 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache SATA 3.0 Gbit / s hard.

The BIOS will recognize that new drive 750 GB and the system recovery DVD will restore the original software on this new 750 GB drive?

    Thank you for your help.

Yes it should not be a problem. The BIOS will not limit the size of a SATA hard drive and the recovery disc will work on a drive as large or larger than the original. You can also duplicate the old drive to the new or just use Windows Easy Transfer to create a 'migration' file that will restore your settings and files to the new drive after putting Windows on it. Post back if you need some help with that. Good luck.
