HP Laserjet 1300: laserjet 1300

I use this printer for years print letters. Just recently, I printed a picture and noticed a horizontal line that appear every 3 inches. I scanned the photo and blowing it up to see the line.

I seem to have embedded in Japanese symbols.

What is the printer cartridge or toner

Can anyone help?

It is a bad toner cartridge when the printer sat for a while and the cleaning squeegee stuck on the drum.

When the printer started the cartridge moving the blade loose from drum and some documents surface drum sticks to the blade.

If you remove the toner cartridge and turn the drum by hand using the gear on the side by moving the drum in the direction of motion of the paper you should see a line across the drum that matches your line resembling Japanese characters.

What you actually see is small cracks on the surface of the drum left out when pulled loose from the drum blade.

The full actual name of the drum is the OPC drum or photoconductor drum optical. The drum is the brilliant part, see you when you pull back the shutter on the toner cartridge.

I bought a 'new' in the Laserjet 1300 to a thrift store box when I turn it on it shows "ready" light, works, all gears seem to be turning, doing this for about 1 minute, then stops and shows fatal error, turn off and turn back on, same thing, any help?  error fatal high school talking about the engine, the engine turns during the minute before the error.

This is the engine error but it could be the motherboard, but all first I remove the cover and make sure that the Ribbon connector going to the laser/scanner Assembly is in place.  I know that the laser/scanner cable can give the defective engine error.  You will also want to check the other wire that goes to the laser/scanner Assembly to ensure that it is correctly connected at both ends.  It is also possible that the formatter is bad.

  • LaserJet 1300: is it laserjet 1300 printer driver for Windows 10?

I just bought a new laptop for home use - Windows 10 rounds.  I've been using a printer LaserJet 1300 (connected to a docking station, which is connected to the laptop) during the years that I LIKE, but can't seem to find a driver for printer LaserJet 1300 for WIndows 10.  It does not exist, and if yes, what is the link to it?

The drivers are all the same, no matter what port is used.  The port just determines the method to which the work reached the printer.  Parallel, USB or network.  Parallel ports of will disappear and most computers only support usb and network as well as some who support wireless where the printer has wireless capabilities.  Here is the link to the drivers on the hp site.

  • LaserJet 1300 driver for Win7 problem

Plugged my Laserjet 1300 in my new computer (System 7) via USB - and Windows could not find the right driver for it.

I cancelled Windows trying to install driver automatically and put the original driver CD disc (Serial #Q1334-60107 ver 2.0) in drive.
but I couldn't get Windows to recognize the printer, even after re-boots.

Since I bought the printer some time ago, I checked for the updated drivers online, that would be 64-bit.

    I installed it:
    UPD pcl5 - x 64 - 5.4.0.11744.exe

During driver installation, I plugged the printer & turned on at what I thought was a good time. I see this:
'HP Universal printing PCL 5' as printer - but it will not be printed.

I tried Windows "Uninstall" feature, but it does not show the pilot, to uninstall it - OR where the driver of the located.

    * QUESTIONS: How do I uninstall the driver? Use disk upd pcl5 - x 64 - 5.4.0.11744.exe OR original pilot #Q1334-60107 ver 2.0?

What is the procedure for installing this?-I can't find anything, despite an afternoon of Googling.

    Thank you.

Did you follow this guide to install printing? Installation of LaserJet 1300 Windows 7

You shouldn't have to navigate to the driver you download. Actually stick it in the trash at the moment when you set "Add a printer", you must select "add a local printer. Ignore the writing to the right, which applies only if everything works properly. If you follow the guide at the top it should install correctly.

No need to feel stupid and no problem at all to help. That's what I'm here for

  • HP laserjet 1300: after updated W10 at another level cannot print locally on connected LaserJet 1300 preinstalled

Recencly upgraded to Windows 10 year old PC.  The printer, usb, is a HP Laserjet 1300 and the upgrade found a driver and local printing works very well.  I have a home network that an old XP pc is connected to and used the 1300 without problem.  Upgrading to W10 came from W8.1 and whatever the driver he had allowed things to work.  On the XP poster print spooler and the error now.  HP Print and Scan Doctor run on the W10 pc indicates bad port, but it cannot be changed.   The port on the pc W10 is DOT4_001.  Doctor print run on the XP indicates that the printer is indeed available, but printing fails.  The W10 pc is W10 home so I can do the print management service to see what real driver has been installed.   The print doctor also pointed out that the full usb support is not installed.  I don't know what it is and clicking on get the software takes me to the center of hp supporot.

I would appreciate anyones ideas on how to solve this problem.

I got the printer work from XP to pc W10.

The upgrade of the W10 has not created a home network as what was there in W8.1.  I had created and made there several days that the residential group names are the same, etc.  Even without the network in place, worked a ping from one to the other.

I had old information to work for nearly 30 years as a programmer for fortune 500 company system and that he was referring to XP and more recent Windows system, demanding that internal guest account is active.

W10 upgrade is not the active guest account.  I lit with a guest net user / activate: Yes and I tried printing and the bingo it worked!

    Hello

I've recently updated form Windows XP to WINDOWS 7, then to Windows Pro 10. I have HP lasejet 1300 printer. It worked fine with WINDOWS XP. I had the problem of printing when I got Windos 7, but it was resolved by installing with force provided for XP rather than WIndows 7 driver.

Now, after upgrading to WINDOWS 10, I am unable to print, even if windows has automatically identified and installed a HP Laserjet 1300 PCL 6 printer.

I tried to update the driver to download from the HP site. But without success in printing.

When I send the command to print to this printer, I get the Message error in the list of the printer and document remain with the error. No data seems to be sent to the printer. I used troubelshot option already.

  • LaserJet 1300 PCL6: New laptop / old printer won't

    Hello

Can anyone help please? I just bought a new laptop HP Envy, running Windows 10 (64-bit) and it does not recognize my old (10 years) HP Laserjet 1300 PCL6 monochrome laser printer (but my last laptop on 10 Windows worked with her). I can't find the drivers on the HP site, and I don't want to give up my laser printer because, although old, it works brilliantly as a low quality workhorse printer. All solutions gratefully received. Thank you very much.

It was the universal driver that did it, thanks!

  • HP laserjet 1300 not receive signals from computer

HP Laserjet 1300 does not receive signals from my computer. Please explain

Can you network or USB cable into the printer to the computer?

What operating system do you use?

If you are on windows 7 and network, you must check and make sure that the IP address of the printer is listed as the same thing in the port settings.

If you are using windows 7 and you use a USB cable, you will need to load the printer via the IN-OS driver. See the link below...

Install the driver included in the operating system Windows 7 (OS)

If you use another OS or driver, please let me know.

  • Need a manual procedure for PCL 6 software Win8, HP Laserjet 1300

I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 8.  HP Laserjet 1300 HP softeware compatible must must be installed.  I tried to download the software and installation/configuration but running the automated softeware fails on this printer.  Yes, I know it's old, but it works

In the past, I was able to Setup and configuration of the drivers for this printer on XP, Vista, Windows 7.  The files ' Park - v1.7.zip "do not recognize this printer on Windows 8.

Is there a way to download the PCL 6 drivers if I can do a manual install?

    Ed S.

    Hi Ed,

First make sure you install the drivers USB of your product.

If you have a 32-bit version to install the following file:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=238320&prodNameId=238322&swEnvOID=4131&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=fp-109471-2

For version 64 - bit use instead the file below:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=238320&prodNameId=238322&swEnvOID=4132&swLang=8&mode=2&swItem=FP-109468-2

If you are unsure of the version of your operating system, follow the steps below to discover this:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=130&prodSeriesId=4332585&prodTypeId=5169094&prodSeriesId=4332585&objectID=c02002390&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=238320

Then the driver should be installed from Windows Update server by pluggin the USB to your computer.

Also you can use the PCL6 UPD driver rather once installed the USB drivers, that depends on your version of the OS as well:

    32 bits:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=503548&prodNameId=3271558&swEnvOID=4131&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ds-99353-4

    64 bit:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=503548&prodNameId=3271558&swEnvOID=4132&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ds-99374-4

  • LaserJet 1300 paper jam

    LaserJet 3100 C3946A USBF021323 Mfg October 13, 1999

    Use of the history/primary

A fed not location of several page for years. Only OK food for my purposes. Is not used for fax or printing from the computer. Use main scan and copy.

    Malfunction

To replace the empty toner cartridge. First scan and copy effort leads to a paper jam in the copy with part of page rest phase in the feeder (don't remember if used not simple or multi bin for food). Page fired back with normal resistance (no tear or missing corners). First 1/3 of page was released folded in the second 1/3. Toner deposited as expected the first 1/3 and 1 inch in 1/3 second. Toner condition dry dust, unheated. Deposited toner clear and distinct than original scan. Next effort of scanning and copying. Sheet inserted in the tray sheet to the statement "Bin is empty please add paper." This resulted in "printer paper Jam check paper" Path message when paper is inserted. Can't see any piece of paper inside. Restart by pressing the "Stop/Clear".  Also turned off by unplugging the power cord for several minutes reconnect. 'Jam' same message when paper is inserted. Reinserted previous (almost empty) cartridge with results of same message "insert a paper and jam." Also tried the two reboot methods thanks to this previous cartridge.

I would appreciate any advice that may fix this problem.
