HP LaserJet 400 M401 PCL 6: HP LaserJet 400 M401 PCL 6 on Windows 7 Pro

Does not print the large font sizes?

>> ... Where do we get the firmware update to resolve the problem of non-printing of large font? ...

The last update of the firmware is available via http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=lj_106283_11&sp4ts.oid=5096252

Note that the description set for this upgrade did not mention the problem of police large , although it said that it "cread all previous fixes and improvements'.»»

I think that the large font size has been addressed in the previous update (January / February calendar?), but I don't know where to find the fix for this (or earlier version) list of releases.

  • LaserJet 1018 will not work on windows 7

I have a HP Laserjet 1018 which works fine on Windows Vista 64 - bit.  I just built a new PC and put Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit on it.  The drivers on the HP support site will not work.  When I try to print something, it is sent to the printer and disappears.  I interrupt printing that document actually get sent to the printer and it appears.  As soon as I have some Nations United-pause the printer, the document disappears, but nothing prints.  Normally, when something is sent to the printer, the "information" LED yellow lights up momentarily and prints the document.  The led does not at all.  I tried new cables, uninstalling and reinstalling etc.  Nothing works.  Just to be sure this isn't a printing problem general, I connected a Laserjet 1020 on the new machine and it works fine.  However, it is my printer to work and I can't leave it on the new computer, which is a personal computer for my home.  It worked to identify that my copy of Windows 7 allows you to print, but is not a long-term solution.  Help?

    Hello

Thanks for the post.  On this one, I have some ideas.  I pasted the links below.  One is for the driver Win7/64 page and the print diagnostic utility.  I would certainly recommend the utility to narrow down the issue.  The other is a related document in queue which contains excellent information.  Good luck!

Hello and welcome to the community of HP @Rikkie1,

I understand that you're having trouble installing the drivers for your HP LaserJet 1018 on your computer Windows 10. I will do my best to help.

Only the integrated Windows Print Driver is compatible with the HP LaserJet 1018 on Windows 10. Below, I have posted a link to a document that has some instructions on how to install and use the integrated Windows print driver. Please try all the steps in order and get back to me with the results.

  • LaserJet 4000N: can this work with Windows 8

I have a LaserJet 4000N works with XP.  I want to change PC in Windows 7 or 8.  That will influence my choice of the new PC.

Supposedly there are drivers for 7 as mentioned on HP Business Support.  The only mention of drivers for 8 are listed for the LaserJet 4000 and not the 4000N.   But the pilot is a pilot called universal I think.

Is not at all clear to me, and it would be nice to get a simple answer.

Therefore in terms can simple someone tell me.

Q1.  The LaserJet 4000N printer work with Windows 7

Q2.  The LaserJet 4000N printer will work with Windows 8

    Thank you.

Sorry for the confusion for drivers for Windows 7 and 8.

Q1: The LaserJet 4000N works for Windows 7. Here is a link that will provide you with the drivers and how to download.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?&objectID=c02536257&LC=en&cc=us#A2

Q2: I'm sorry the LaserJet 4000N is not compatible or available for Windows 8, yet. You can try to download Windows 7 on Windows 7 and it can work. You can also download another driver that works.

    Hope this helps you.

  • LaserJet p1006 and windows 8 pro 64-bit

When released drivers for the laserjet p1006 for windows 8 pro 64-bit? I have a printer which i cannont use...

Passed Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit Windows 8, had all the problems mentioned above, trying to install Laser Jet P1006.  Downloaded and installed Windows 7 64 bit P1006 drivers from HP web site, hp_LJ_P1005_Full_Solution_Row.exe, and ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win64 - in .exe.  Had to install both in the order listed above, printer would not work with a driver in itself.  Printer works like a champ, can't install the new 64 bit drvr Win8 when (if) HP comes out with it.

Update: A worked well for a week, out of nowhere the same document is sent to print twice, one showing file size, a display 0 kb to the size of the file cannot be deleted 0 kb file without unplugging the printer and restart the computer.  May have to do with the installation of Office 2010. Back to the drawing board.

Update 2: after failing to uninstall driver, used HP print and Scan Doctor in order to get the docs on the queue, and how 'delete device '.  After that, couldn't find no port selected in "Print properties", I use the usb port 2, but was not yet registered, usb 1 was for my other printer (Lexmark).  Computer restarted, a second icon p1006 printer/device manager, was listed usb port 2 and was selected.  Printer worked.  Uninstalled first icon legacy p1006, unfortunately the two p1006 icons disappeared.  Computer restarted, windows detected printer and installed, p1006 icon reappeared in Device Manager, usb still selected as port 2.  At the moment the two printers work.  All I have to ' do now is of fig on the flag "yellow" on my pc modem... 8 windows aah.

    Also:
    1. recently installed Office 2010.  In previous versions of windows and Office, had a similar impression of the problems with the hp laserjet p1006 queued default printer.  The fix was to choose Microsoft XPS Document Writer as default, and then select the printer that I want to use in the program when I tried to print a document.  Even once just in case.
    2. having two HP printers (for example a deskjet and a laserjet) downloaded on your computer causes all sorts of problems of print queue.  Has to do with both printers using common files. HP has ever imagined a fix for what I know (haven't checked lately), so if you have an HP printer that is installed, and you want a second printer, you have to buy a different brand as Lexmark for your second printer printer.  Suppport from HP will talk about common files, but not on the installation of a different brand printer, then you will have to take my word for it that it works.

  • HP LASERJET SERVICE and CRASH of WINDOWS 7 PRO

My windows 7 pro 64-bit lock every so often and when I restart and run Windows Reliability Monitor there is always a critical error 'HP Laserjet Service' that stopped working when the accident occurred.

In msconfig/services, the checkbox is selected and the status is stopped.

This critical error is still the only listed by the way.

The P1102W printer and I'm only using wifi.

    Printer still works fine.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

Hi aelumley , sorry to hear that you still have questions. After the reinstallation of the printer, the icon is now grayed out.

Have you tried turning on the Laserjet Services in return startup items again to see if that could fix this problem?

Download and run the Print and Scan doctor. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically. Find and fix common printer problems using the tools of diagnosis HP for Windows?

I would run the difficulty it Microsoft tool to see if it will be useful.

Diagnose and automatically repair Windows files and records issues.

Sfc/scannow will inspect all the important Windows files on your computer, including the Windows DLL files. If the System File Checker detects a problem with any of these protected files, it will replace it.

How to use SFC/scannow to fix Windows system files.

If you have another computer, install the printer on it to see if you have the same results.

Please let me know the results.

  • Windows 8 Pro lack support printer Laserjet 2600n

I checked HP to see if they have a Windows 8 driver for Laserjet 2600n printers. I guess I will be not print Windows 8 Pro. Good grief!

POST SCRIPTUM: Geez, what a complete dummy I believe me there is no specific driver for Windows 8, and so I could not print. It is not a print device 2600n in the list of installed printers so I closed that and downloaded the complete installation of Windows 7 and who ran instead. It finds my network printer and the driver installed and all is right with the world now

I'll share what has worked for me.

I did what you suggested and ran / install the driver that I downloaded earlier this year for my Windows 7 computer to my new computer Windows 8.1. Did not work.

I decided to print text from Word Perfect Office X 6 (the best processor around IMO). When I went to print, the "print" button was greyed out, which means that it will not print. So, I clicked on the button "Printers" in the dialog box print of WordPerfect. The list provides, I then used the right click button to open the 'properties' for Laserjet 2600n printers.

I selected the tab "Advanced" and then clicked on the button that says "New driver" (I had tried everything else for the last few weeks, that I could lose in trying something new?). This opens a printer driver Wizard that finds the driver first to your choosing the name of the manufacturer - HP-, then the driver. I had already tried the driver "HP Color LaserJet 2600n", and noticed there's a new there just below: "HP Color LaserJet 2600n class driver.

I've selected this driver and let the Wizard do its thing. I'm now able to print my WordPerfect and 8.1 Windows Photo Viewer. I'm going to assume that I can print from other things because these two programs are those that I had problems printing from.

  • need driver for HP Laserjet 4 L for a computer windows 7

My mother's computer had a power surge and it re - set the computer to a brand new empty computer.  I have re-; oaded all, but it's an operating system of Windows 7 and I cannot find printers LaserJet 4 L driver on the HP website any longer.  I don't remember how I loaded it the first time, but the computer can not find a driver to make it.  Can anyone help with this?  I can't find a place to even call HP and see if a driver is available.

    Thanks in advance

Did you read my post. To use a driver built into windows 7, use the printer to add, select the port, and then when you get to the page of manufacturers choose hp on the left and then scroll down to pcl laserjet 4 right. If the printer laserjet 4 does not appear click the button update windows and wait for the screen to repopulate and it will be there. You are a very easy job hard. Do not use automatic detection.
