HP LASERJET SERVICE and CRASH of WINDOWS 7 PRO

My windows 7 pro 64-bit lock every so often and when I restart and run Windows Reliability Monitor there is always a critical error 'HP Laserjet Service' that stopped working when the accident occurred.

In msconfig/services, the checkbox is selected and the status is stopped.

This critical error is still the only listed by the way.

The P1102W printer and I'm only using wifi.

Printer still works fine.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Hi aelumley , sorry to hear that you still have questions. After the reinstallation of the printer, the icon is now grayed out.

Have you tried turning on the Laserjet Services in return startup items again to see if that could fix this problem?

Download and run the Print and Scan doctor. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically. Find and fix common printer problems using the tools of diagnosis HP for Windows?

I would run the difficulty it Microsoft tool to see if it will be useful.

Diagnose and automatically repair Windows files and records issues.

Sfc/scannow will inspect all the important Windows files on your computer, including the Windows DLL files. If the System File Checker detects a problem with any of these protected files, it will replace it.

How to use SFC/scannow to fix Windows system files.

If you have another computer, install the printer on it to see if you have the same results.

Please let me know the results.

Thank you.

  • Can I reinstall my OS from Windows 7 OEM and reinstall my Windows 8 Pro update the store?

    Hi people,
    Happy holidays!

Ask yourself if you can help me with something... I just got my computer to my new Acer's OEM recovery media and wonder; I wanted to reinstall my original Windows 7 OS came with my computer in order to recover the programs that I've accidentally screwed up and lost during my special upgrade Windows 8 Pro I had when the store was to have the $14.99. I want to know if it is possible for me to re - install all the original media to the new drive and then run the Upgrade Advisor, follow it through, reinstall my Windows 8 Pro by using the product key that I bought at the time? Which will work? I don't have a recovery disk for the Pro Windows 8, just my product key which is saved for me. And no, there is not any Windows.old folder to reinstall the programs of the recovery partition. And no, I don't mean to update my Windows 8 Pro. I'm looking for an easy way to do what I'm not a type of technology! I appreciate all help. Thank you!

    Hello

Yes, you can reinstall Windows 7 using the disc sent by the computer manufacturer. Once Windows 7 is installed, then you can move to Windows 8. Product key Windows 8 will work, and probably you may need to contact the activation of phone to the activation service.

    Thank you.

An occasional blue screen error should not have any long-term effect.

If all goes well a compatible driver Windows 8 will be provided in the future.

Another thing I might suggest is to update to the latest version of Kaspersky and see if it helps one.

Or uninstall Kaspersky and go with firewall and antivirus integrated Windows 8 (Windows Defender).

Temporarily uninstall Internet Download Manager and see if that makes a difference.

The Kaspersky IDM pilots and were involved in the blue screen crashes in Windows 8.

  • Upgrade to Windows 10 and return to Windows 7 Pro

I upgrade my Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10, I went back to Windows 7 Pro. My question is... After months of July 2016, I have to buy a new key of windows if I decide to go back to windows 10 on my windows 7 pc pro? I downloaded an iso file of windows for windows 10. It will not work after the date limit?

If you upgraded this system completely 10 WIndows and ACTIVE without problem - there is now a Windows 10 license attached to this computer for the life of the machine itself.  This means that (because the machine does not change much - especially the mother card motherboard) If you go back to Windows 7 NOW and you decide at 9 months (which would put you beyond the free upgrade offer) to Windows 10 out there - you should NOT have to pay anything.

    Step 1:

Start your computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

    Step 2:

If your computer does not crash in safemode, there must be a third party software that is causing the problem to occur, this is why I suggest you put your computer in a clean boot state.

  • Error - EPPkt.sys and c:\windows\system32\drivers\afw.sys not found and fix crashes in Windows XP Pro computer.

Original title: during repair XP Pro from the disk installation, everything crashes.

I am writing this plea on my desktop, pc Win 7 it. The pc is older and elsewhere in the House.

Due to the white/white space in Add/Remove Programs, after checking the extent of possible for viruses, corruption Reg, etc., the advice of consensus was to reinstall the Windows, using the disc (this XP Pro was on the HARD drive when I got the pc - new to 2009 - and I did the back-up recommended/controlled , and that's what I was doing Rcounter Set up, around 1700 BST.

Everything seemed to go OK, but black screen of Windows is now the small hourglass circulating and 'Please wait '.  The HARD drive is flickering, but it's been more than 3 hours!

My second pc was rotten, and I had to reinstall or repair XP Home [disk] a few times. It is only 35 GB, compared to more than 100 on the pc in question - but I've never met before delay.

    Installation messages were as follows:

EPPkt.sys and c:\windows\system32\drivers\afw.sys not found.  I checked this point, and it should not have caused any problems. It has also sought a labeled disc 'Machine Virtual Network Services', which no doubt, since I did not, was never necessary.

I'll leave it on - but...

    Help, please!

Well, I had to bow to the inevitable. Please accept this response as a ' I've been there - it could happen to you. "

I spoke to BT [they provide my broadband] and the helpful guy asked me to look at the installation and reinstall in a different place. It's OK, but [, BUT] some of the drivers have been zapped in eternity. PCI, sounds, videos. The guy thought BT that these had been modified or replaced since the beginning, whereas they were not available. The XP Prof is on the pc when I got it, but I assumed that the pilots were on the backup disk, I did. No, they were not. And how to go online to search for them if we could not put in place the ethernet connection?
So, I bought Win - 7 it 32-bit full ed. [be too afraid to try an upgrade].

It could have been a response in the migration of these from other drivers, but I guess it was time to go.

As I can't afford to buy new COREL, MS Word, etc, I have installed free VMWare player as a host for my older progs in a virtual environment.

Another thing came out of this: although what remained of XP has been saved by 7 as WINDOWS.old, I am very happy that I had a HDD eternal with ntfs to preserve my files and installable 3rd party progs.

I hope this might help someone - thanks for the info.

  • UPDATED HP freeses and crashes under Windows 7 64-bit

Hello! I am now running Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit on my m9152p HP Pavilion Elite originally shipped with Windows Vista 64 bit... I upgraded in early spring of this year and everything has been fine until about 2 weeks ago... Each time HP Update tries to run... It hangs... This started to happen out of the blue... It ran fine up until about 2 weeks ago, when she started this behavior... I haven't had any setting or program changes that I know... He just started crashing all of a sudden... I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of update HP... nothing helps... Can someone help me? Thank you!

HI: You are not alone. I had this happen on my W7 PC 2. Works well until a week or two ago. Now when you launch the program you get just the message that the program has stopped responding. I don't have a fix. I also tried the program updated without success. I've uninstalled it. You can run the Windows update program which will take care of most of any driver and other updates for your PC. If all goes well, people have reported this problem to HP that will be able to fix it. I wonder if it has to do with the upgrades of windows security or other updates that we received last month.
