HP Officejet 6000 - print hanging folders.

Desktop computer is an iMac (mid 2007) operating system is Mavericks, printer is Officejet 6000, driver is version 9.4, responsible for July 2014.

Printing became a bit strange.  A simple page one or two print takes a few minutes to start printing, but after printing, the print file remains in the queue for several minutes.  If I connect before the deletion, it is printed before the machine stops and on the road again after delivery, and it remains in the queue. Even if I remove it from the queue and then sign out, another copy of the file is printed.  Subsequently that it disappears, but it takes a long time.

If it is relevant (I'm not sure), the "usb" process runs constantly, used by the user _lp (as shown in activity monitor) and use about 35% of the time processor.

Anyone have any idea, what could be the problem?

Hi @Road_Runner

I understand the print jobs stuck in the queue and you encounter printing problems.  Please follow the following steps and let me know the results.

We will restore the printing system, repair disk permissions and add new printer using the HP driver.

  • Officejet 6000 printing problems

My Officejet 6000 will not print. The power and light of the resume light blink - normally, this means that there is a paper jam in which there is not. Or that the rollers need cleaning I did. I also cleaned the cartridges where the ink comes out.

Also I tried to unplug the printer and try again without success. When the power is connected, the green light - after a few seconds it starts to blink and the printer goes into his routine of cleaning after this stop the Summary button illuminates and flashes also. I'd love to hear if someone has the same situation and managed to solve it!

Have you removed all paper from the input tray and look in the status bar with a flashlight to make sure nothing is caught in the rollers?

So, did you remove the module front/back/rear access door to make sure that nothing is stuck to the back of the rolls?

I also advise to open the upper part of the printer and remove all of the ink provides unit; including the print head.  Don't you see that anything taken under/the print head Assembly all about?

Hard reset of the printer with the supplies out of the unit:

Unplug the unit when turned on

Disconnect the other end of the power cord from the wall jack directly

    * Wait 30 seconds

    * Plug the unit back to

Once the device is fed up reinstall ink supplies in the printer.  Also check to see if the truck can slide left and right all the way inside the printer by hand.

There is also a document with additional steps found here.  I hope this helps.

The alignment page will print until it completes successfully.  Try print a page of diagnosis as on the Six Solution on this page. Do all color printers correctly?  The alignment will fail if the parties in black and color do not print correctly.

  • HP Officejet 6000 Print gray instead of black

    Hello

My HP Officejet 6000 works well for about a year until today, where he began to print light gray instead of black.

My officejet is attached via USB directly to my PC, I'm under Ubuntu 12.04 with gnome shell. Used to work out of the area to print. I just install HPLIP Toolbox to see if I can fix anything, but that was no help. I exchanged the inktank black for a new, but that did not help either one. The gray looks perfect gray and not a faded defective, black dryness. I tried to change the output of color mode in the settings of the printer to the only black than gray, and the printer does not print the necessary ink at all. Is this a software problem? Or printer hardware problem? I tried printing from my laptop and had the same problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Problem solved. I got my printer to my friend who has a Windows PC and a test print looked fine. I thought it must be a Linux question then. I have connected my printer to my PC Ubuntu again, and for the hell of it, I tried to print a test page and go figure, it worked. Maybe unplug the printer helped solve the problem? BTW, when I meet my problem, the printer was not actually printing gray instead of black by mixing the inktanks color. I discovered that she did not use the black tank at all. I'm glad that everything works again without having to really fix anything. So if anyone else has this problem, try disconnecting the printer, and then try again. That could be the solution. Turn off the PC one on or the printer doesn't help.

  • How to prepare the HP Officejet 6000 printer for storage during the winter in an unheated Minnesota cabin

How should I prepare this printer for storage during the winter in an unheated cabin? The manual indicates storage to-40F. It is unlikely to get that cold.  Should I remove the ink carts and plan on replacing them in the spring? Print head? Any advice?

    Hello

I suggest to remove the print cartridges at least. I would say the print heads as well because they have little ink in the institutions and feezing could damage them.

    I hope that helps!

  • HP Officejet 6000 only print left side of controls. prints everything well.

HP Officejet 6000 printer, system is Windows7. We use an insurance agency software and I am trying to print checks and the printer only prints the left side of the check and heel.  The software is ok because I can print checks very well of our generalization printer that uses the entire office.  I can print emails, documents, etc. of the Officejet and they print the entire page.  It's just the checks that print weird.  This has even puzzled IT society.  I tried the HP print and Scan Doctor thing, and he said that everything is fine.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!!

I'm back in business now! Print controls very well. We all remote on a server and I got the printer installed on my desktop, but not inside the server, and I don't even think it.

  • My officejet 6000 after each print job's a lot of internal adjustment is this normal?

I just installed an OfficeJet 6000 printer. Connection USB and Windows XP. Before you print the first document in the print head appeared a lot of adjustment and once again the document was printed. The following document has started printing almost immediately, but even once, there was a lot of adjustment once the draw has been completed.

    Is this normal?

    Hello kayliv,

Looks like you can make reference to calibrate the printer performs after each draw. It seems that there is no way to stop it or it is time to decrease. Thus, what you hear is likely to be expected

I can't imagine not wanting to use the duplexer, but the part you need is CB0507-6007 and illustrated here.

  • OfficeJet 6000: OfficeJet 6000 does not print

Replace the ink cartridges for Officejet 6000 would not print.  It prints the words Page Windows printer to test a test page of color with a printer icon in the upper right, then at the center of page 4 with a white fill boxes; yellow fill, blue fill and a red fill.  That's all.  I touched a "print test page" and the paper comes out blank, although that normally shake it like the print head moves back.

  • Print Officejet 6000 occupies more of the page when printing duplex

My printer is set by default to duplex print. Whenever I use my 6000 Officejet to print two-sided document printing starts just below it should be at the bottom of this page which he finished much lower than when printing a single page (from the same document).

For example: if I choose to print a page only from multiple paged it document prints fine, exactly as displayed on the screen. However if I choose to print pages 1 and 2 then printing starts at about 5mm below printing and print finishing 15 mm below where it should be. There is no difference in the width of the impression.

    Hi @Porky007,

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I understand that you are having problems printing duplex and I will certainly do my best to help once I have gathered a little more information

    1. what version of Windows or Mac do you have?
    2. is the printer connected via USB or wireless?
    3. what program you print from? Have you tried another program?
4 what even happened if you disable duplex printing?
    5. He made it for all pages or just one?

Once I have that information I'll certainly look more in things for you!

In the meantime, if you are using Windows, please download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor and see if it can detect problems for you

  • Cartridge, HP 920 XL: Wireless HP Officejet 6000, the problem of black ink printer

I have a HP Officejet 6000 wireless printer.  It's 2nd HP 920 XL cartridge that has not worked.  It does not show that it is empty, but it will not be printed.  Our school cannot afford to replace these at this rate.  Please let me know what to do to make this work correctly.

I removed the printer as my default so that I could use another printer.  When I ran the program again to check for problems, the guest asked me to add the printer returned as default.   When I reconnected it the printer as long as my default, I tested the printer and it worked.  Don't know why remove and then add back in the set, but he did.

  • Don't print black ink (HP Officejet 6000 E609a Series)

HP Officejet 6000 E609a Series - do not black ink print ---
No warning light indicates low ink levels, so I called "solutions Center". The chart shows all cartridges, color and black to be virtually complete. I then replace the black cartridge with a new cartridge 920XL, thinking that the original could be defective. Same as before results! I (1) printed to a printer status report (2) print a print quality diagnostics page, (3) aligned the print heads and (4) cleaned the print heads, all to nothing does not. I even carefully cleaned the container for the black cartridge with a Q-Tip to collect a small amount of excess ink. Color cartridges are printing very well but the black cartridges will not print. (Either by the way, it seemed to happen suddenly, not gradually). I would be sincerely acknowledging all recommendations to solve this problem.
    Thank you... RP

@ wespikard - here is a link to a document that addresses print quality problems of the model of printer that is mentioned in the first post of this thread. It will give you instructions to solutions that will attempt to correct the output quality of your printer. I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet 6000 won't print from computer on our network

Our officejet 6000 won't print from a computer on the network. All 3 computers running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition. The computer we have problems printing used to be able to print to the Officejet 6000, but now he can't.  In devices and printers, it says that the printer is connected, but I can't print a Test Page.  However, if I run the HP Solution Center, it says that the printer is connected and I can go to the Toolbox of the printer and print a printer status report.  The 2 other computers on our network have no problem printing of pages to document and test.  Why would a printer are struggling to print documents and test pages, but be able to print the printer status report?

It's just a problem of connection and communication. The computer and the printer can be on different ports or IP addresses. Here's a link below that can help solve this problem.
