  I can't using Windows Update for two 'critical updates of security". I got anumber of error messages, but the last was 0x800A0007. This is nowhere on their support pages. Can someone suggest a possible solution?  (If I can solve this problem, I can get IE9 fixing.) With the help of Windows XP Edition family

  The two KB982132 and KB972270 updates failed to install (twice) with error message that appears now is no longer on the 0x8007001F support page.

  Since that time when I get to "check your computer for Updates" page fails to display and code error 0x800A0007, which also appears nowhere.

  Norton Internet Security Firewall is disabled and the Windows Firewall is enabled.

  Do not uninstall IE8 or IE7 before doing a repair installation leaves the two Internet Explorer and Windows in a "confused" or "broken" State - so your Windows Update (if any) problems.

  I'm sorry to tell you that your only recourse now formats the hard drive & then by doing a new installation of Windows. [1]

  Try to repair the .NET Framework.

  Click on Start > control Panle > add / remove program find offshore Microsoft .NET , click Uninstall/change , and fix it. Then try to install the updates.

  If again get the error follow the steps below

  1 - Download .NET Framework cleanup tool http://blogs.msdn.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer-Components-PostAttachments/00-08-90-44-93/dotnetfx_5F00_cleanup_5F00_tool.zip and unzip it.

  2. After you have retrieved double click it to open it

  3. in product cleaning select all versions , and then click clean now

  4 - restart your PC after cleaning ends.

  5. download and install the suite

  Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

  Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 redistributable package

  Restart your PC and run Windows Update.

  installation of this hotfix using SCCM constantly not to install it.  Downloading the patch and try to install manually outside of SCCM gives the error "this hotfix does not match the installed version of Configuration Manager 2007"this error appears on systems of 80 of the 300 that I stand by.   On a PC, the patch is already installed in Add Remove programs and SCCM continues to display the available patch and it fails to install when attempted to revive it.

  On another PC, the patch shows failed in SCCM, but install manually results in this error.

  I tried to completely uninstall / reinstall client SCCM, reset space names WMI etc... but the system still fails to install / complete the SCCM installation.  And continuous SCCM harass the end-user that the correction is due.

  Any possible solution?  Using Windows XP Pro SP3...

  There have been similar problems happening when you use a cell phone type of internet connection.

  Maybe even fixed line...

  One of the workarounds I've read is to start downloading from another connection, pause the download bit after it starts and then continue with the original connection, if desired.

  He has also had similar problems with 3rd party security programs. If you have one, turn it off...

  In some cases the program must actually be deleted with a removal tool, not just uninstalled...

  I downloaded the add-on of the Russel, textures of paper and tried to install with AEM but, said the package was invalid and could not install.  I've updated PS and AEM and tried again, this time it exceeded the contract and then failed to install screen.

  I tried to change the to.zip of extension .zxp, but then it says Windows cannot open the zip folder is not valid.  What is going on?  I got it on my work PC last week before the main hard drive died and I had to reinstall PS.

  Thanks for the reply. Yes, the Mac is perfectly up-to-date. I finally fixed it by creating a new profile with the Admin rights and running the installation without any problem. Would like to know why this works. But got there in the end.

  Well, it's different, I went to the control panel and found find and solve problems and clicked on it and went to the configuration of a device and ran the troubleshooting and it says problem found hardweree changes could not be detected...? which is weird, but Defected said... and it seems to work fine now, I listened to 2 and 1/2 hours of music and watcthed 2 complete movies and it seems to work fine now so there was me but still pretty strange thing that can happen thank you for your help and all who responded ) soon )

  Don't worry about wasting my time. I love doing research and constantly learn new things.  I found another post on this site which recommended the .NET solution.  Here is the link to this article: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/e3d8edeb-1a3b-42d3-a635-070264696db5.  Unfortunately the user in this link has failed to let us know if it worked for her or not.

  If this does not work (or you don't want to go through the above steps), you must contact Microsoft Update Solution Center http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527#tab0.  Click on Contact a technical support engineerand accept the agreement.  You will receive the free e-mail directly support from Microsoft Support staff.  Don't forget to let them know all the steps you have tried so far so that they are not duplicated.

  If this is resolved, I'd be happy if you referred to this site to let me know how it was fixed.

Unfortunately, Windows update still lists this update as needing to be installed, and that fails to do so. SP2 fails to install with updated Windaows as well, so I downloaded and installed as described in the Article ID: 947366 - last review: June 3, 2009 - revision: 6.1 how bad turn Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 service pack installation issues, install the tool available to update Windows KB957821 system successfully, restart the PC , the deactivation of all the components of McAfee, but again error: ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT (0 x 80073712). I'm open to suggestions as to how I can solve 2 problems. Thank you

  Step #1 => foremost, note what version of .NET Framework is installed:

  NB: If you remove the .NET Framework 3.5 (SP1) by using the tool, reinstall .NET Framework 3.5 will also install .net Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.0 SP2. Then, Windows Update will offer .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.

  IMPORTANT! =>, If you remove the .NET Framework 3.5 (SP1), reinstall your version of .NET Framework in the following order:

  1. the .net framework 3.5, then...
  2 .net framework 1.1, then...
  3 .net framework 1.1 SP1
