OfficeJet Pro 8600 Printhead question

I bought the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus about a year, and recently the impression was very bad.  I have a lot of horizontal gaps in the photos (color and b & w) as well as in the text.  It is not as crisp as it was when I bought it first.  I use it to write contracts and lately, had to go to the local Kinkos to print that it is not acceptable to give to a potential customer.  I installed the ink HP geniune.  I have tried cleaning the print heads through the tool on the printer, but also download and trying to solve the matter through 'hardware diagnostic tool.'  I always feel the lines of streaks / missing.  According to the report stage of my printer, I only printed 1 266 pages.  I have a hard time to believe that after just as many pages the print head has been overworked or put in his time.  I looked up the cost of a new print head, and at almost half the price of a new printer, I have a hard time to justify the expense.  I really like the printer and won't replace it.  I hope it's just a defective print head that may be covered in some way, or could be replaced at a more reasonable price.

Opportunities, ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I should probably post that I had contacted HP, even if the printer is out of warranty.  I think what saved me was that I was able to pull up my impression of total, I think it was a little more than 1 000.  Obviously a very small amout of draw has been done during the time period.  They were able to send me a new print head, with instructions on how to replace or envelope pre-paid to send the back of an old man.  Touch wood, no problem since then, and I know I have printed a lot more during this period without any problem.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Wifi question

My company delivered my new of Officejet Pro 8600 with locked out wireless capability... I guess that they do not want printing wireless at the office, but I use this printer home and print to it my personal devices wireless... any advice on how to re-engage the wireless features?

Your company would mind if the printer has been completely reset?  I'm guessing that they disables wireless and also put a password on the printer, so you cannot turn it back on.  I would call your business or if you know that you can't find in trouble do complete a reset on the printer.

How to reset the printer is provided here.

Welcome to the HP Forums @tntipsy,

I came across your post on the message 'Ink system failure' you see on your premium 8600 Officejet and troubleshooting, you have tried and are currently looking for a new printhead. My personal suggestion would be for you to contact HP directly to discuss a printhead or even a replacement unit. I would honestly suggested a replacement unit on a replacement of the print head, just in case where the same problem occurs with another print head. Details of HP are below for you!

    Hello
Gmail offers several options of security which are not supported by the printer and it will block to connect to their servers.

First, open the following link and ensure that you are connected to the same account that you are facing problems of implementation.
    https://myaccount.Google.com/

In the section connection & security click on signature in Google and make sure 'The 2-Step check' is defined as 'Off '.

In the left pane click on connected applications & sites and make sure that 'Access to less secure applications' is defined as 'ON', otherwise the check fails.

In the left pane click peripheral activity & notifications, within the "security events" section click on the link to control events and make sure there is no connection blocked attempt (it will be highlighted in red), if there is no warning, proceed to the screen to ensure there is no block for this device.

Once you are running a test for the outgoing user profile and check if the problem resolved.

    Kind regards

  • ANALYSIS QUESTION - OFFICEJET PRO 8600 - ALL-IN-ONE

I HAVE A HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 PREMIUM E ALL IN ONE-N911N PRINTER.  I have
HAS RECENTLY HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE SOFTWARE/DRIVERS DESKTOP, WHERE THE
SOFTWARE DOES NOT OPEN ON MY DESTOP.  I CONTACTED HP TECHNICAL SUPPORT. THEY
TOOK CONTROL OF MY DESKTOP AND MY SOFTWARE HAS DETERMINED COULD HAVE BECOME
CORUPTED AND SO DOWNLOADED FROM THE HP WEB SITE LATER
THE OFFICEJET 8600/DRIVERS SOFTWARE VERSION, AND THAT SEEMED TO
SOLVE MY PROBLEMS, UNTIL I DISCOVERED WHAT I BELIEVE, IT IS A BUG OR HAS
SERVICE CAPACITY FORGOTTEN WHEN SCANNING BY USING THE MOST RECENT SCANNING
SOFTWARE.   THE QUESTION IS, WHEN YOU USE THE 8600 DESKTOP SOFTWARE TO ANALYZE
A DOCUMENT: IF I SCAN A FEW PAGES USING THE DOCUMENT FEEDER, THEN,.
BEFORE I SAVE THE FILE, I WOULD LIKE TO ADD ANOTHER PAGE SCANNED, TO THIS
SAME FILE, BUT YOU WANT TO ADD THIS EXTRA PAGE USING THE FLAT GLASS
(NOT THE DOCUMENT FEEDER), THE SOFTWARE NOT ME LETS NOT DO THAT. THE
SCANNING SOFTWARE IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THE PAGE EXTRA (S) TO BE
ADDED, COMING THROUGH THE DOCUMENT FEEDER (SOFTWARE ONLY)
RECOGNIZE ADDITIONAL PAGES TO COME FROM ANOTHER SOURCE, OTHER THAN
FROM THE SAME SOURCE YOU STARTED SCANNING WITH). I'VE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO
DO THIS WITH MY OLDER VERSION OF THE DESKTOP SOFTWARE (CD VERSION ONLY)
CAME WITH MY PRODUCT), BUT SINCE I DOWNLOADED THE LATEST VERSION, IT
DON'T ME LETS NOT START SCANNING OF A DOCUMENT FROM A SINGLE SOURCE (DOCUMENT
FEEDER OR FLAT) AND ADD EXTRA FROM ANOTHER SOURCE () PAGES
CHARGER DOCUMENTS OR FLAT).  IS THERE A BUG IN THE SOFTWARE?  TO
SUMMARIZE THE PROBLEM: WHEN YOU START A SCAN USING THE DOCUMENT FEEDER.
WANT TO ADD ANOTHER PAGE SCANNED ON THE GLASS FLAT, THEN
SAVE ALL PAGES SCANNED IN A FILE?  YOU CAN'T DO THAT WITH THE MOST RECENT
SOFTWARE (DOWNLOADED FROM HP WEBSITE), BUT YOU CAN THE MAKE WITH THE
CD VERSION OVER OLD ONES. IS THIS FEATURE MISSING FROM MOST RECENT SOFTWARE?

OK, the new SW to use can be found here:

    FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Download and install this.  This will install an application on your system, called "HP Scan" extended.   This software is designed to work with any recent HP scanner that has already installed the drivers.    The software does not replace your existing HP Scan supplied with the appliance.  It is rather an alternative which offers many more features than what came with your device originally.    This software is already available with the new HP machines.

The selection of the default source is 'Use document feeder so burdened', so you should be able to scan from the ADF or flat all in one session.

    Enjoy!

  • Question on Officejet Pro 8600

Just replaced a Photosmart 2410 with a new Pro 8600. Immediately, I noticed a lot of paper options are missing such as paper photo 4 X 6 with detachable tongue and specific photo matte paper. Of course, I can bypass the minor inconvenience, but I wonder if the options available can be upgraded via software download? Thanks for any information.

    Hello

I understand that you have just a few questions about the difference in the options of paper between your Photosmart 2410 and your new Officejet Pro 8600. I will do my best to answer these questions for you!

The differences will not be downloadable for you. Essentially the differences result from your first printer is a Photosmart that was made to print photos as the 8600 Officejet is geared more towards printing needs. The Photosmart printer is designed to print photo would certainly more photo options. If it's a major inconvenience for you I would definitely suggest to see if there is any chance to exchange your active printer for a Photosmart but if it's only a minor inconvenience to stick with the 8600 and save you some hassle.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

    "out of paper"

I try to print from Tray 1 cover. How to make adjustments so that it can print or is there a store bypass on this printer that I can't find.

The sales representative told me when I bought this product I was able to print stock coverage.

    Help!

You shouldn't have any problems with the documents in your list. You did to be sure you choose the correct paper type before printing? The product can capture not paper if the type in the tray and paper format does not match the size settings and type in the print driver. Heres how to check the paper type is defined:

    1. Return to the document that you were trying to print when the problem occurred.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in: similar question: not able to 'change the Scan tasks '.

I have a similar problem as "ccb531", released 23/07/2015 08:22. I am unable to "Change Scan tasks" with the HP utility software. It gives the dialog box box below I need to install "HP scanning software".

I installed the driver (alone) which is available on the site of HP support for my printer (HP Officejet Pro 8600 - N911a) and my operating system OSX 10.11.1 (El Capitan).

I also followed the procedure that has been described by the support team in the post of 'ccb531', published 23/07/2015 08:22. That is to reset the printing system, uninstall the drivers and software, (repair your disk permissions is not longer available on osx 10.11), install all updates Apple and reinstall your software and drivers. But with the same result.

Have I missed any other driver that is not listed on the support site or is the HP Easy Start on 18 November 2015 2.1.0.66 driver not yet fully functional for El Capitan?

Any help would be much appreciated since I can't change the scanning resolution when scanning my documents on computer from my printer document feeder if the documents are too large to be useful.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Software for iMac install Question

I have a new iMac 27 "10.8.2 OSX operating system software. I just bought OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911g and the software supplied with the 8600 install no sound for OSX 10.7. He had 2 choices on the HP website to download and install. I chose officeJet-Pro - 8600_v12.23.0 on the OfficeJet-Pro - 8600_v12.14.0. • do I have to buy color ink cartridges? HP Officejet Pro 8600 more Windows XP

    HP Officejet Pro 8600 more

    Windows XP

The printer will not print anything (including black and white which is my default setting), at least that I have installed a new yellow ink cartridge.  He says that the cartridge is exhausted and must be replaced before printing.    I have black and white printing color cartridges? Is there a solution? Thank you very much.

    DavidDavid salvation,

Yes, you will need to replace the yellow cartridge to continue printing. Here's a good explanation of the design of the print mechanism, and what is needed to keep them in good working condition. Your printer is user replaceable print head. With this printer's ink lines that need to be filled in ink in this way that the print head should not be clogged jets in turn cause poor print quality problems.

Written by Bob_Headrick on the wire note: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Printing-Questions/Officejet-8500-won-t-print-Black-ink-only-if-other-colors-are/m-p/1706581#M67899

HP, as other printer manufacturers, offers you with permanent print heads printers requiring ink for all colors, avoid the print heads.  HP, like some other manufacturers, also offers printers with user replaceable print heads.  These may of may not require ink in all colors in print, even though damage may occur if the print from the cartridge empty.  Finally, HP as some other manufacturers also offers printers with the printhead into the ink supply.  He is replaced at each change of cartridge.  These printers will happily print with a diet low, empty or many deleted completely same models.

When you buy your next printer (from HP or from another manufacturer) be sure that you understand what is the type of printer and choose one that fits your needs.
