HP officejet pro 8610: double sided printing - brochure

I'm trying to print a booklet from a pdf file.  When I print double sided printing pages in reverse.  Front of the faces of the page to the top and back of the page down.

How can I get to printing, so that I can form a booklet?

Hi @roza,

I'd love to help you with your duplex settings. Looks like you will need to change the short edge binding on the long edge. I found something that might help with these settings: with long edges and parameters of short edge duplex printing.

I hope this helps.

    UPDATE!

    ----------

This printer is now works very well with total control on duplex printing. But how did this happen...?

Two things have changed - well, maybe three.

But first of all to mention another very annoying problem: wireless printer to my network connection always collapsed which was a double nuisance (23/06/2016 see also installing the driver wireless Officejet 8000 Pro says default gateway is 0.0.0.0)

The road to happiness... I've finally updated my PC to a laptop HP Win7 (there is a problem with the laptop, but that's another story...)

During the process of setting up laptop, I had to set up the network and add the printer. In between aid was a FAQ something like "the wirless connection drops regularly." What interested me.

The fix was so simple - mychosen IP address has always been in the DNS range which was probably not very smart, but I didn't know any different. No one had ever mentioned before.

The idea is to select an address in the static range IE outside the DNS. So I took a number x.x.x.249 and bingo!, a solid and reliable connection that is always there.

Given the new laptop for download the drivers again. What went well and of course, the new machine is much faster.

Anyway after a few tries, much to my delight I discovered that two-sided printing worked with auto rotation if I check the box. Printing a document like that I would see in portrate (horizontal spine) and read down the two pages, turn to the next page and the same thing at the end of the document. Or, if you use the rotation of non - normal mode - the printing orientation is 'normal '.

It's a shame that it was necessary to buy a new laptop with a new o/s just to discover the problem by chance...

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 double sided printing smudges

I try to print paper double-sided on 200gsm (color) on our new printer 8600 & apparently smudge or smear the first page at the end.

When it prints the first page & begins to push out of the printer (where it is said that its drying) before pulling back in print on the other side, it comes out ok, but when printing is complete, it has black ink stained all over the front page.  The back of the back page looks perfect.

    Hey dinkidi,.

What are the parameters of paper what do you use in the driver when executing this print job? (E.g., type of plain paper and best quality printing letter size)

Have you tried to remove the filter to switch at the rear of the 8600 and wipe the rollers back in the printer with a soft, lint slightly damp with water?  In addition, try to wipe the rollers of the Ferris wheel inside the duplex unit.  It is possible that a small amount of ink rubbed off on the rollers of the printer.

Also, please take a look at the information in the document found here.

Let me know how it goes,

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Do not print the PDF of ADF 8610 files

If I scan a document on the glass of my 8610, print the PDF that I create on my computer Win 10 or any other machine including Mac and Ubuntu (Linux) "correctly".

If I use the 8610's ADF to create a PDF from multiple page, the document is visible on the screen of ANY box of Ubuntu, Mac or Windows PC (s).

HOWEVER, if ANY computer try to print the PDF file for ANY printer, the page is EMPTY.

Based on 3 operating systems, the result (the white sheet of paper printed), it seems that the creation of PDF 8610's firmware needs some adjustments, please.

Well, I see you using web analytics to the printer rather than the use of the scanning software. There are two ways to analyze which should work a bit better than with a web scan: using the HP or Scan to Email scan software.

To install and use HP Scan (for Windows 10):

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

When you want to analyze, click the icon on your desktop with a name similar to "Officejet Pro 8610". If you click the option under scan your PC should open HP Scan.

To install and use HP Scan (for Mac):

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

When you want to scan, open the folder Applications, Hewlett-Packard and in this folder, open HP scanner (or scan to).

To set up scan to email:

    1. On the printer, click web services icon in the lower left corner of the screen.
    2. If you see Setup, click on Setup, then Accept/Yes.
    3. After the printer prints a page of web services, click applications, and then Scan to Email.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to scan, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Keep the printer?

New to the Forum.  I have an Officejet Pro 8610.  My old printer (4620) would turn off and unplug the printer after each use.  Sometimes, I go 2 weeks without use of the machine.  I was told to leave the printer on all the time.  What is the best option for someone who is not a big user of the printer?  Thank you.

    Hi @Bronco1,

It's really best to let the printer on as he said himself. I have an officejet 6600 that I use maybe once every month or two, I leave it on and it goes into sleep/power mode mode; your printer you will do the same. The advantage to leave, as mentioned, is that the printer will systematically be past in maintenance mode and keep the ink moving regularly. This maintenance helps prevent inks from drying up.

Keep the print head of your printer is a bit like the oil in your car. If you do not regularly, not only it won't work best, but ultimately it may not work at all. And the cost of maintenance is negligible compared to the cost of the repair if you do not have the maintenance - in the case of your printer, it uses a small amount of ink flowing through the print head and keep it clear.  -J' found this text of presentation with additional information in the following link: should you turn your printer Off when you don't use it?

Ultimately there is no "right" answer, but I think it is really preferable to leave the printer on.

I hope this solves your request.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 do not print

    Hello

I use OfficeJet Pro 8610 as a network printer. Three computers have access to it. Two PC works fine with the printer, a - is not. The problem is the computer with Windows XP (the other two are: also a XP and Windows 8).

I installed the drivers and software with CD. OJ8610 is visible, it is under "devices and printers".  When I try to print something I get messege that the page is sent to the printer, but later there is no reaction. There are no jobs in the queue.

Can you provide assistance for this situation?

It seems that my problem is solved. I did it, it's always before trying your solution.

    That's what I did:

    1. I uninstalled the drivers and the software of the instrument;

    2 rebooted in Safe Mode;

    3 restarted again and started Windows normally;

    4. connect the device to the computer via the USB cable.

    5. install the drivers - NOT to launch the HP CD, but using "Add new printer" Wizard in "printers and faxes" under the control panel (when asked for the location of the drivers, I indicated on the HP CD).

    6. I printed the test page - and it worked.

    7. then, I installed the device as a network using CD HP printer.

    8. I have test page printed successfully as a network printer using my camera.

  • Win Pro 8, double-sided printing is not taken in charge for inkjet 1200 D

What is the problem? Even though I have a HP Business Inkjet 1200D the driver support in Windows 8 Pro is not a double-sided printing option (other than manual... but why did you buy the 1200D for ;-)))

    Found this solution for Vista

And it works see the response from a large number

It would also work under Windows 8 Pro?

Vista is also x 64 or am I missing things crusial?

    Hello

Business Inkjet 1200 allow automatic duplex printing, it is disabled by default and must be enabled:

Right-click the 1200 printer icon, then select printer properties.
    Open the device settings tab.
As installed in Duplex Automatic Two-Sided accessory and then click OK to save the change.

Automatic duplex printing should now available in the final by choosing to use the auto-recto-sided unittab.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Mac and printer do not connect

    Hello

I installed my printer operated a couple of months and it as a printer wireless to my MacBook. Everything went very well.

Yesterday I tried to print a document, but my Mac was telling me that the printer was not connected, even if the two were connected to the same wifi. I turned off both devices, reconnected the printer for wifi on the way home the password, but nothing has worked. I decided to 'remove' the printer from my Mac in order to reinstall it again. The software is installed, but I'm stuck in one step:

The printer is not and so I cannot connect my printer with my Mac, instructions say that you could also connect thorugh the printer using the Wifi the Printer Wizard. I plugged the printer several times to my wifi at home but I am not able to connect it to my computer, it does not find it.

I am really grateful for any advice!

    Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the HP community @JETaubenberger ,

I read about the problems that you encounter when you try to connect your Officejet 8610 to your Mac via the wireless network. I have a few ideas in mind that should help connect you again!

    • Try power cycling network devices:

Turn off the printer and the computer and unplug the router for 1 minute (do not press the buttons on the router).
Plug the router back in and wait another minute, turn on the printer and the computer and attempt to print something.

    • If the connection still does not, try the following steps in the following order:
    1. Reset the printing system
    2. Repair disk permissions
    3. Restart the Mac.
    4. Install the complete driver here: HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer
    5. In addition, to download this driver: HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers

You must be connected at this time, please let me know the result!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: IMPOSSIBLE to PRINT GMAIL WITH NEWLY INSTALLED HP OFFICEJET PRO 8610 wireless

However, if I try to print any GMAILs, nothing happens.  I checked I have the selected 8610 as default printer and the printer has the correct documents ready, but nothing happens.

OK, let's check how Chrome is set up to print.  (I also have a 8610 and easily print chrome!)

Open any page.  Either type CTRL-P or open the Menu and select 'print '.  Another page should open with the printing options.  What do you see?  Your printer to display by default, or "Save as PDF" by default?

Look at the field "Destination".  Just to make sure that you have selected the right printer, click on the "Edit" button, then see "Local Destinations".  Click on the "Manage" link to see all available printers.

Remember that the right pair has been selected.  Mine shows that "HP Officejet Pro 8610 (network)" and has the green check by default.

Something is not right to install in Chrome.  Worst case, we can uninstall/reinstall Chrome it!

  • Laser Jet Pro M402dn: Double-sided printing

I need to know how to double-sided printing. I know that this printer can do. But how?

The function "automatic detection" used by some drivers on the install (or update) does not always; make sure the driver knows that a duplex unit is present on the printer (assuming that a single is present):

    • For the instance of the printer in question, bring up the printer properties dialogue.
    • Select the device settings tab.
    • Make sure the duplex unit is set to installed and not installed.

You will probably need to be logged in with administrator credentials in order to change the settings of the device.
