  • OfficeJet x476dw: officejet pro x476dw legal size paper adf scan

    Hello

I've been using officejet pro x476dw for 6 months, and I realized that I can't scan legal size paper 2 sides.

It is impossible to scan legal-size documents 2 faces on ADF?

    I need to scan MANUALLY?

If this machine supports 2-side of legal paper scan, are there other ways to facilitate this work?

I often scan more than 40 pages with 2 faces legal paper...

    Please help me experts... TT

I heard, Canon and Ricoh offer some disc to make it possible to use software...

HP offers this kind of software too?... TT

    Hello

Sorry to inform that x476dw model only support scanning two-sided (2 sides) up to letter size but it support simplex (1 side), scanning up to legal size.

I suggest you to analyze manually with the help of flat, if you have only a few pages. But as you mentioned above, you often need to scan > 40pgs double face of legal papers. One way is to digitize the odd pages and even pages separately and try to use 3rd party app for example Pdfsam (www.pdfsam.org), basic version is open source (free to use) to merge the 2 files into 1.

    1. Load your stack of documents by normal with the first pages (pg 1, 3... 39) facing upward on the Doc feeder, ADF
    2. Analyze the stack of papers in pdf & registered as 1 file
    3. Flip & organize your stack of papers since the last GP from (pg 40, 38, 2) meet in AAD
    4. Analyze the stack of papers in pdf & registered as 2nd file
    5. Start of Pdfsam - use the "Different mix" standard Plugin to merge the 2 scans
    6. First select 1 file by the 2nd file tracking
    7. Select 'Destination output file' and 'Run' to merge to a full "duplex" scanned PDF.

Refer to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZf50gRzDho for example on the use of Pdfsam

  • OfficeJet Pro X476dw: Officejet Pro X476dw will not stay connected!

I've been struggling with my printer is connected via the wireless connection.  Recently, I thought it may be the firewall and had my disable the firewall administrator (which did not help).  I have several devices working on my wireless network, and none of them (with the exception of the HP printer) have no problem to stay connected.

    Here are the questions:

    • When I am able to connect to the wireless printer, sometimes it says connected but still does not print.
    • Connects and disconnects randomly.  So I go back in the connection process.
    • Sometimes when connection it does not recognize / 'see' my router, which is 2 feet away.  I turned off my whole system and rebooted and the printer still does not recognize the network.

I did the following, with no relief:

    • Close my entire system (computer, modem, printer and router) and restarted.
    • Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.
    • Reset printer factory (to start).
    • Recycled turned off and rebooted my router.
    • Confimred my router had the latest Firmware.
    • Ran each diagnosis available through HP and all he says is that it is not connected (duh!)

    My hardware is as follows:

    HP Probook s 4540, running Windows 10 (64)

    OfficeJet Pro X476dw

    ASUS AC3100, RT-AC88U router

Please respond with any ideas/suggestions.  I really like this printer for my small business when it's working, but at this point if I can't get this resolved fine goodwill that I can't spend more time trying to get it operational.

Thank you for your time and help!

Thanks for the clarification!  I'll take a look and respond back!

  • Pre sale question: Officejet Pro X476dw - ink cartridges

    Hello

I have a couple of pre sale question on the Officejet Pro X476dw - I hope you can help me with.

I live in Denmark (EU) and in the book loads, it says that it comes with startup ink cartridges (translated from Danish). What these specifications of starter ink contains less ink than normal cartridges don't - if so - no idea how many pages they can produce before they empty?

As to the number of products: it says CN461A - but to some websites, it is called CN461A #A80 - is this the same printer? And what does the #A80?

The ink cartridges have an expiration date. What happens after that date: the printer will require new cartridges before it will print anything if it can damage the printer to use ink after the expiry date - or what the print quality is affected?

Q: it comes with startup ink (translated from Danish). These start ink specifications contains less ink than normal cartridges only

A: Yes.  It's half in full by a quarter from a new normal cartridge.  Pagecounts are all depends on a lot and what you print.

Q: it says CN461A - but to some websites, it is called CN461A #A80

A: the extra #A80 is probably a regional identifier.  Its basically the same printer but built with some regulation is necessary for your region as energy consumption.

Q: the ink cartridges have an expiration date. What happens after that date

A: the ink are deteriorating and are more likely to plug in your print heads and contacts.

Q: the printer will require new cartridges before it will print anything

A: not necessarily, but it is advisable to listen to your printers of warning messages

Q: can the printer to be used after the expiry date of the ink

R: damage, maybe not the best term.  It would cause clogs in the ink system that will require additional support.  When the hooves can not be erased then the printer may need to be replaced.

Q: or what the quality of the print is affected?

R: technically Yes, but the quality will be not noticeable in most cases with an outdated cartridge.  The ink won't be able to apply paper and take a nice full round, resulting in a glance more stained on a microsopic level.  Your concern should be on the maintenance of the equipment.

  • Install driver OfficeJet Pro X476dw on Win 7 Enterprise 64 bits without administrator rights

    Hi all

I have an OfficeJet Pro X476dw for my home office and I would like to use this printer on my company PC. Unfortunately the standard company of Win7 64 bit installation does not come with a set of drivers for the OfficeJet Pro X476dw. Unfortunately my company does not allow installation of company not certified pilots and they decline my request to certify the official HP drivers. So my question:

is there any driver easily integrated in Windows 7 which could be used to run the X476dw of OfficeJet Pro

    Any advice is welcome!

    Best regards

    EMVH

    Thanks Futoji,

Meanwhile, I figured out how to fix it for my Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit:

    (1) download the PCL 6 printer with installer driver

    (2) run the Installer (which will fail)

    (3) get the extracted files (must be in c:\users\ (you'll identify it through the most recent date, the copy path))

    (4) kick-off detection routine printer using 'Add printer' > ' add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

    (5) take the printer without specification of 3911 port

    (6) select 'have disk... '. "and will give the driver (path of the dough)

    (7) select HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw MFP PCL6 driver

    (8) test

    It worked for me.

    Best regards

  • OfficeJet Pro X476dw: Of Pre purchase Question: Officejet Pro X476dw

Choice Magazine (Australia) said that the X476dw of Officejet Pro can print on transparencies. Given that is not the norm with inkjet printers and it does not appear in the list of media in product specifications, I was wondering if this is incorrect?

    Hello

The following comparison, the choice was wrong:

  • HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw: Duplex scanning

I just want to buy HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw, according to this manual printer, this printer is equipped with an option to print double-sided.
But my question is that it has dual scan or duplex scan option?

    Hello

Thank you for using the forum.

HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw is intended for users of the company.

OfficeJet Pro 8620 and settlement 8630 (comes with 2 bac) also have the option of scanning two-sided you need in the ADF. (NOT the good settlement 8610!)

Recommends that you consider the settlement 8620 or 8630 rather than the HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw, unless you buy for the use of the company.

    Hope that helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro x476dw: How can I add fonts to OfficeJet x476dw printer?

I just installed a new Officejet Pro x476dw all-in-one.  It's a great printer.  The question I have is we use fonts Oswald as the standard of our company and when I try to print this it does not display properly.  I ran reports and as you can see that Oswald is not on the lists of fonts so I think that we must add to the printer.

My goal is to get fonts Oswald print correctly.  Please let me know what I have to do to get there.

    Robert

The printer driver may include an Advanced Preferences option to "Send TrueType as Bitmap".

If selected, this will cause several (rather than one or two scalable) bitmap soft fonts to download, one for each size of font required.

If there is a firmware issue interpreting fonts downloads soft, maybe it's that this only affects the scalable fonts, not only bitmap fonts, so it is perhaps interesting to try?

  • Error B835B846 on an Officejet Pro x476dw MFP

I have a MFP HP Officejet Pro new x476dw - which I was really happy with. Until last night. He got a print job that is stuck in the pipeline and we couldn't do delete. I would say to delete, I'd say it was deleting and then nothing. Tried the device and the computer. Finally managed to remove print jobs, and he began to print again. Walked into the office this morning and someone tried to print and complained that the printer did not work. Walked over to him and he had a white screen that says "Pleaase stop printer, then on again." Were all indicators that surrounds the screen flashes quickly. The power button had no effect - which means that it would not turn off the machine. Had to pull the plug, which he did not because he told me when he walks back to the top. After the white screen, she flashed a blue error screen that shows the B835B846, I think. She flashed so quickly the first couple of times I had to video the problem/process in order to catch the number. There is no code error with this number on it in the HP website.

I downloaded the HP scan and doctor to print and he can't get it to print. Any ideas?

I tried to turn it off again to restart, but it will turn off. I finally got frustrated and just unplugged the darn thing. Left the Office for a couple of appointments and returned a few hours later. He plugged back in and voila! Print again. Don't know what bug he had his behind, but it was not happy! Don't know what unplug and leave for a few hours has done for her, but solved my problem. Now, let's see if other agents in my office can print on it when they bring their laptops!

  • HP Officejet Pro e-all-in-8610: HP Officejet Pro 8610 - error Code: "0xc19a0013" (printhead missing or failed)

I bought the printer (e-all-in-one printer HP Officejet Pro 8610) in January 2015.  The printer was working properly - fax, copy and scan, until two days ago.  Now, it doesn't print at all.  Received an error code: "0xc19a0013" (missing or does not have the print head).  An expanded version of the error code reads: "the print head seems to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.  Error: 0xc19a0013.   The printer uses a removable printhead, HP Ink cartridges (black) 950 and 951 (cmy).  I used the diagnosis of HP support recommendations: all software and firmware for this printer is installed. HP ink cartridges are not low or empty; remove the printhead ink cartridges and reinstall them.

There are several steps in the recommendation of troubleshooting, but I stopped to lift the printhead.  Because of my technical inexperience, and there were too many ceveats (attention, attention, proper relocation and etc..)  with the removal of the print head which could cause problems more serious.  Then, I stopped to remove and clean the print head.  Also, used the doctor to Scan printer HP for assistance. Tool to clean the printhead does not.   What worries me most with the 0xc19a0013 error code is his explanation: the print head seems to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.  I can use all the help I can get to understand what is happening with the error code that I received and the resolution of the printer malfunction.

  • OfficeJet Pro X476DW: Scanner ADF black line down Page

I had problems with scanning from ADF. There are two black lines coming to the bottom of the page on the scan. This does not happen when I scan directly on the glass through the bedfeed. I can't understand what needs to be cleaned or replaced. Help, please.

    Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

Open the lid of the dumpster and look at the extreme edge (usually the left edge, but it is where the paper feeds down).

You will see a small glass to crack running the width of the flat glass.  Look inside this crack for a few pieces of paper/dust/something who lines up where the black lines are formed.  Use a can of compressed air or a brush to gently remove anything found.

When using the document feeder, scanner actually itself parks under this tiny slit of a window and scan the document as it feeds on.

I had this problem before on my OfficeJet Pro 8600 and found the solution here on the Forum.
