HP PAV G7-2341 ram

I have the G7-2341 Pavilion and it came with 4 GB of RAM. I bought another card of 4 GB crucial for her in the hope her push up to 8 GB (I just received today so I didn't have the opportunity to contact the place online, I bought the new card of so it could simply be broken) I installed the card into the open slot, set up the laptop and turned on. The power light came, the driven fan on but nothing came on the screen. I turned off and opened upward, took the back of the card off and installed on that new power and fan to start but nothing on the screen.

I took a new one and tested as it was before the new ram. It has worked well. I took them both and put just the new in where the old one was and once again, the power, but nothing on the screen. I also tried to put both of them in, a new one in place of the old and the one in the location empty once and nothing on the screen.

This sounds like a problem of compatibility or ram card broken?

The RAM is Crucial 4 GB DDR3 PC3 - 12800 SODIMM

Please try the old RAM that works once in each unit. If the system starts, the issue is not with the old RAM or system board, but maybe with the new RAM. If the old RAM does not work in one slot, then it might be a problem with the system board.

  • Troubleshooting RAM to HP Pav PU131AV errors

    Problem:

    1. restart computer. Error reporting window Microsoft said that there is a possible error of RAM and said run the Windows memory Diag tool.

    2. I ran the test on Windows memory Diag tool, and there are 3 test case has failed. (I can give the results if necessary)

    3. the notes Windows Memory Diag says that if all the tests came back failed, then 'your computer failing hardware.'

    4. the results were not able to determine exactly which module failed.  The doc offers everything first, reinstall the memory modules and remove the dust or debris.

    5. I also checked the PC via the HP PC doctor and passed all the tests I ran.  The tests I ran were:

    -all tests under categories of device / system

    -all tests under Scripts of Test / Test System

    -all tests in test / tests of motherboard

    Issues related to the:

    1 should I continue troubleshooting potential problem of RAM, even if the PC Doctor showed all the tests?  Or is it enough that the Windows memory Diag tool showed 3 test cases that failed?

    2. If I continue to solve the problems of potentional RAM, I want to clean the inside of the computer and reinstall the RAM modules, and then run the Diag tool again pass memory of Windows to see if all the tests are back.  I found 2 docs that will direct me to the RAM modules and reinstalling them, but I still would like better know how to clean the inside of the office.  Can someone direct me to a doc who showed me how to clean dust and debris from the inside of a desktop computer, specifically the HP Pavilion PU131AV?

    Thanks in advance,

    ``````````````````````````````````````````
    old computer: HP Pavilion PU131AV / a1050y, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Windows XP MCE, SP3 32-bit, Nvidia GeForce 6600
    new computer: HPE-180 t, Windows 7 Pro (64 bit), Nvidia GeForce GT 220, Intel Core i7 - 930 quad-core CPU @ 2.80 GHz, 8 GB of RAM
    Relocation of the ram is no big deal, get him out to wipe the contacts with a soft cloth, put it back in.
    Cleaning the inside... buy a can of air compressed, all you want to do is blow off the dust on the fans and turn off the heater.
    Do not use any liquid inside the computer, just air. Do not wipe the inside with everything he can catch something and break one of the contacts.
    Follow the instructions on the air... never never flip can do it because it would cause the liquid in the box to squirt out.
  • Pav DV7 7015 ca: ram high grade
    DV7 / i7 @ 2.30 3610 quad Core / 8 GB ram / win 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
    I would add (double) the RAM in this machine, but have never had coverage of the and have no idea where the ram or how many sticks make up the 8 GB has currently. I need to speed things up upward with the upgrade of ram and an SSD for help with my RAW photo processing.
    (1) what type of ram, this machine uses?
    (2) can I just add more (another stick 8 GB) or can I replace the current with a 16 gb key?
    (3) what is the maximum amount of ram that this machine will use?
    I am a type of office and have no idea of what was going on inside your laptop. Thanks in advance.
    According to the official specs, you have 2 x 4 equals 8 GB.
    Plug
    Here is the Manual:
    Repair manuals
    See page 53. Memory is inside the large T shaped cover on the bottom of the laptop. It can take up to 16 GB of memory, modules of 2 x 8 gig of this stuff:
    Module memory 8 GB (PC3 12800, 1600 MHz) 670034-001
    http://www.Amazon.com/Kingston-PC3-12800-notebooks-KTH-X3C-8g/DP/B0089MTP0W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1461606849&SR=8-1&keywords=670034-001
    Memory prices are falling again, so it is a good time to buy. I say most people forget the 8 GB to 16 GB upgrade computer since most users have no 16 GB of RAM but the treatment of RAW to .jpgs images or another format is an exception to this: you need all the memory and help you can get.
    An SSD is also a good idea. Your laptop can actually take 2 hard drives. I could write a book on options that gives you and how to on this subject, and I'll do it if post you back and ask questions.
  • Pav p6243w: change of RAM
    Hi im new to the forum. Names of Mike. my computer is 2009, but tech support said that I did not need to buy a new one for a faster speed. He slowed down, so first I bought an OEM Samsung DDR2 2 GB to replace the 1 GB installed on location DIMM # 1. I know that my Board can use up to 3.5 GB not the full 4 but it would help my speed? If it's a good thing without worrying, how can I change the map. I don't know how but not the procedure if one is necessary. (ie. off, unplug, discharge static electricity... etc) Thanks in advance...
  • Deletion and addition of RAM chips
    Oh God, I hope someone will help me.  I'm having a few problems and I guess that now, just trying to make the best of what I have.  I have a Pavilion g7 2297nr.  It's hard as hell, trying to find info on my particular model.  I am trying to remove the RAM of this model and eager to place it in a Pavilion 15-e015nr.  I keep coming across this idea even when there are two screws that need to be removed from the Panel of big Center at the bottom of the computer.  However, it is not setup for my model.  There is a screw near the battery on that same large panel which cannot be losened and not deleted.  Once the screw has been losened the Panel is always attached to the base.  I can't unlodge it.
    I saw a manual for the model of the G7 however again this is not for the same model I have. I don't know what to do.  There are no other messages for my particular model as well.
    My other question is trying to find Windows 7 drivers for the Pav 15.  I'm trying to downgrade to win 8 but not really get any assistance.  Probably a longshot post this situation here however.
    Hello
    Very simple, after remove the 'gate', no more screws, only snaps. Thank you for using the second document on the following link, page #41 will show you how:
  • How you upgrade the RAM on Mac mini (end of 2014)
    The Support page says it is not accessible, but everything is assembled (without guarantee) just to write this post in Safari with open iTunes I am hitting 3.3 4.0 GB.
    I've always liked Apple since the first iPod came out, but I didn't know that their computers were also disposable.
    I guess I should know better when the price is only a little higher then the Apple TV, I went to buy, but it's the first Apple computer, I buy, and it's better than my Apple TV ver1 who died.
    So when I cut it open I find accommodation from the PIN and what chip will take the 1.4 GHz, 4 to 8 GB machine.
    I guess there is only one slot (pinout) and it is probably welded in.
    No, they were serious
    the RAM is welded in there. You can not remove it.
  • Blue screen and bad RAM memory?
    My MBP 2011 early all just stopped working yesterday, it worked very well without any problem of performance for the last 5 years, and then suddenly a blue screen (of death) and it has problems starting.
    He will ring the Bell to start, display the bar loading and Apple, and then there will be a glitch on the big screen (horizontally) 1 inch above the Apple, after that, the fans speed up and all that I see a gray screen, not user interface.
    I zapped the PRAM/MSC and tried the unique memory sticks, I have no spare RAM on hand, but who will order soon.
    Tips to solve this problem?
    AHT says this - 65/4MEM/4000000000: 0x84f6f918
    Google says it is bad memory
    I think you have a problem of memory, although if your MacBook Pro 15 or 17 inch, you should consider video issue as well now.
