HP paviilion dv6 touchpad

my hp pavilion dv6 synapics touchpad used to let me use two fingers to zoom in or scroll to the top and down, now it is only to take information from a finger and not the other.

Hi John,.

Try the following.

First, download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55107.exe

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right-click on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

You must now configure the options you want for the touchpad as described in the following document.

Configure the ClickPad.

Kind regards

  • Clear blue accent around dv6 TouchPad comes not more.

I have a Pavilion dv6 notebook equipped with a processor AMD A6 running under Windows 7 64-bit.  It is almost a year.

The blue light around the touchpand stopped coming.  I first noticed his absence last night.  The red light to indicate the TouchPad is off still works.  I seem to remember that you it could turn on and off and I went on when I first got, but don't find anything in the manual about it now.  Is this correct or is it just defective?  I think I can have accidentally hit a key combination that has disabled.

Thanks for any help on this.

  • How to turn off the power press dv6 touchpad?

Double click in the upper left corner of the touch pad it will switch to on or off. This can be an interesting possibility for a right-handed person, but it's a pain for a lefty. At least this one. I am repeatedly struck the surface of the pad by mistake.

Can I disable this feature? How can I do?

  • Touchpad not working not not on Pavilion Dv6

I am increasingly frustrated with my Synaptics Touchpad, which is not working properly and I can't find a solution. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the latest drivers and still have not solved the problem.

Orange light in the upper left corner of the touchpad, is constantly bed. In the past, I had to double tap this light to toggle the touchscreen function for the touchpad. This no longer works and the light is constantly on.

The function ' Tap to click on ' my touch pad is no longer work. All other functions work fine and I can use the buttons at the base of the touchpad to click, but I can't press on and select something.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6.

Any emergency response would be greatly appreciated.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 default off touchpad?

Often when you type on the HP Pavilion dv6 cursor spontaneously jumps to a different location, it's because my hands did with the touchpad.  Tapping the upper-left corner of the touchpad twice disable it. What is good; However, I do whenever I get on the notebook.  Is there a way to set the touchpad to be 'off' by default on startup, so I don't have to take steps to disable all sessions?  I want to be able to activate the touchpad at will by masking tape in the upper left corner.

    Thank you

    Jeff

    Here is the solution:

    Select:

    "Control Panel".

    'Hardware and sound '.

    "Under"Devices and printers"select"Mouse"
The 'Mouse properties' dialog box is displayed.

    SELECT: "TouchPad settings" tab

Check: "turn off the internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached.

    Yes, that's all!

Thanks Mumbodog to direct me in the right direction.

  • ENVY dv6-7320el: problems with touchpad

    Hello

I'm new here, so I don't know if this is the right place for this question, but here goes:

I had problems with my touchpad, precisely with the two-finger-roll. It would sometimes stop working, but then set a few minutes. Today that work completely collapsed. I have read suggestions on how to solve this problem, I tried the HARD RESET, it did not help, I tried to juggle synaptics in Panel, which did not help either. Now, I have managed to completely remove the synaptics and cannot install it back.

Can someone please help? The two-finger-roll was my main way of getting around, I feel so lost without her.

    model: dv6-7320el

    Thank you!

  • Touchpad is not working on appetite dv6-7200sl

    Hello

the touchpad on my new dv6-7200sl envy no longer works. Do you have any advice?

    ENVY of HP laptop dv6

    Product: C4V10EA #ABZ

    Win 8 / 64

    Synaptics Pointing Device Driver 16.2.10.12

    Thank you

    Marco

First, try the classic Reset to try gently to relax things in working order:

Performing a Hard Reset or forced Reset

    Then,.
you have just accidentally turned off the ClickPad (new version of the TouchPad):

    Use and configure the ClickPad

The small "switch" ON / OFF button on the TouchPad / ClickPad is a smooth, invisible button in the far UPPER LEFT corner.

You must give it a STRONG double-tap to activate the button.

    I hope this helps.

Choose tests of components, and then choose touchpad to perform the test. post your results here in your thread. If it's a hardware failure, then the trial will notify you of that.

Please ignore the selected system board circles. It is in another troubleshooting session earlier this year. You must choose a mouse for your question.

If I turn off the touchpad, I see the little red light upward, but when I turn back on the cushion, the white light of the framework of the touchpad stays off. The white frame is always disabled at any time.  It is a hardware failure? or it is disabled himself for some reason? It happened to someone?
