HP Pavilion 15-N019wm: RAM memory compatibility issues

So, I added another 4 GB of RAM in my Pavilion (model 15-n019wm) and now have a total of 8 GB. One of the sticks is a Kingston 4 GB supplied with my HP... the other is a 4 GB Samsung that came out a Lenovo.
I think they have the same characteristics completely in all areas (1.35v, 12800 1600 Mhz, etc..)
When using CPUID-Z, I noticed my calendar freqs were a bit high (IMHO) with a reading of 11-11-11-26... But if they should not be closer to 9-9-9-24? Also, I would appreciate it if someone could tell me if I can go into my BIOS and adjust them at the time or is this kind of mobo that is locked? Thank you in advance for your time and your help in this matter!

Unfortunately, it is not a good way to upgrade the memory. Your system will be unstable. You will not be able to set the memory timings. This isn't a passionate we can twist trimings native and secondary and motherboard bus speed on.

If you do things, you need to replace the two modules with compatible memory modules guarantee a memory well known manufacturer guarantee the manufacturer and the seller will be compatible. Make another way, including the method you used are a shot in the water. You were lucky that Notepad starts even in Windows.

I would like to move the RAM of my laptop so I would ask for help in finding the right to buy.

Care of my laptop is located here.

Memory 2048 MB DDR2 memory (2 Dimm) system

Memory Max Up to 4096 MB

Therefore, there are currently 2 x 1 GB and I would like to replace by 2x2gb. The problem is that I don't know where to find the most appropriate. I have searched ebay and found this.

However, I don't know if the article I found is compatible with my laptop. The series seems different, which is also the DDR2-6400? He also said SoDimm but mine is just Dimm. Any help with this please? Links where I can find the most appropriate?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I suggest stick with 5300 because it's the plug that came with the notebook and won't have any problems working. But if you are really specific to get a little faster you can go for the 6400.

  • ThinkPad R51e memory compatibility issue

    Hi all

I need help please. I have a Thinkpad R51e, who works with a 256 MB DDRII 533 module MHz I checked on the Lenovo site and the maximum memory supported is 2 GB. I bought 2 x 1 GB DDRII 800 MHz and a single module modules can be inserted into a location at any time. As soon as the two modules are inserted the laptop beeps indicating a memory error. What is really frustrating, is that I can insert the 1 GB and 256 MB modules as well and the laptop will run and detect both.

Could someone point me in the right direction please? I am an I.T. Tech and what smeared me.

    Thank you

    Ben.

I think that R51e motherboard does not support the memory at 800 MHz.

On Lenovo site "using 533 MHz SO-DIMM memory is recommended for this system."

  • HP Pavilion 17 laptop-f113dx: Ram memory upgrade

Although this would mean taking this laptop apart to do this, I want to know if the RAM memory is expandable for the HP Pavilion 17 laptop-f113dx.

A site specific Web says it is expandable to 16 GB.  The vehicle currently has 4 GB of RAM and all I want to do is double that - go up to 8 GB.

I wouldn't take this laptop out to see that it is not extensible.

Can someone give me a heads-up on this update for this laptop?

    Hello

Through 2, 3 page in this manual:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04427554.PDF

There are two slots for RAM, you can put two 8 GB of RAM of the same exact brand & plug as shown in the manual. Then max up to 16 GB is possible.

    Data sheet:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04454103

Go through page 104, 105 in the manual steps of replacement are not easy, and I would say you contact center of HP service in your region for assistance if you are under warranty as it will void the warranty for major disassembly can cause unexpected problems, if you're not used to it.

  • HP Pavilion p7 - 1227c: GDDR5 graphics compatibility question card XFX Radeon R9 380 4GB with HP Pavilion p7 - 127c?

I bought this Radeon R9 380 4 GB from Ebay and installed it in my computer, but it won't work. Turn fans of the graphics card but the PC screen remains black. I contacted the seller who said that the video card has been tested prior to shipment and that it may be a compatibility issue with my PC. I know that this graphics card has a PCI Express 3.0 interface 16 x so that my PC has a PCI Express 2.0, but I don't think that this could be a problem.

Do you know if there is a problem of compatibility between the graphics card XFX Radeon R9 380 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and the HP Pavilion p7 - 127C?

Note: I move the power supply to 650W.

    @Astyx, welcome to the forum.

You are right that the PCIe 3.0 is backward compatible with PCIe 2.0.  However, your problem is the motherboard.  The Radeon card requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a Legacy BIOS. The BIOS may not be walking in the UEFI.  PCIe 3.0 cards requiring UEFI will not work in any other location.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The latest maps to exploit without UEFI are the GTX 660/670.

  • Pavilion 15-n019wm: no sound on hp Pavilion 15-n019wm

Since Friday, I have no sound on my laptop, no internal speakers or the headphone jack and the led of the button mute does not work, but if I hit the mute button, the symbol will appear on the "speaker" icon, and it disappears if I hit him again. I did tests and bars light up as if his fate, but there is no sound at all.  I uninstalled the AMD and the Realtek, reinstalled the drivers updated, reset my laptop, replaced the keyboard and changed the setting in the bios so that the 'FN' key should be used for the functions of the keys F1 to F12.  I had updated for Windows 10 well over a month, and everything was working well.  When the sound did not return after the reset, I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 7 (64-bit) and still no sound.  The led for wifi, the power button and everything is operational, except for the sound.  I'm about to try an update Windows 10 again, but at this point, I am not very optimistic.  Any contributions to this issue would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!!!

  • RAM memory

Your model can accept 4 gigabytes of RAM. Yes the G.Skill will probably work, but you'd be 100% sure if you have tried to find another 2 gig module, like the one already in it.

  • IdeaPad S205 RAM/memory: maximum speed?

    Hello

Lenovo customer service/tech support I asked this question several times, each to give me an answer to 1066 mhz.

What is the maximum SPEED for the RAM/memory usable by the S205 with AMD Fusion the E450 processor?

I understand 8G (2 slots of 4G) is the maximum capacity of ram.

But what is the maximum speed of the ram? I thought that the maximum allowance is 1 066 mhz due to the site, despite the AMD website, saying that the E450 can manage 1333 mhz.

Obviously, I want to max out my RAM. I went on the site of Kingston and used the option to locate specific RAM for this device and it gave rise to 1 066 mhz 2X4G sticks. So I bought and it just. I just want to come here and see if someone actually KNOWS what as the maximum speed capability (or anything else I should be aware of outside Gig capacity) which can take the S205 with AMD Fusion the E450.

    EDIT:
In new research, I found the following.

    (1) according to the support of crucial technology, the RAM frequency/speed is controlled by the processor CPU only. And as said by him, the AMD 300 and 350 have a maximum speed of control for the RAM of 1066 mhz. However the E450 has a 'controller memory integrated (up to 1333 MHz) DDR3"as seen go ( http://www.lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/pdf/system_data/s205_tech_specs.pdf ).

Also note that just below him, he goes on to say that the maximum speed for RAM is at 1066 mhz. Therefore, this disturbs more the issue. It seems to me that, when they are max memory capacity and speed, they forgot that the E450 can manage more of the E300 and E350 and simply serve their maximum speed of 1066.

I already went ahead and bought 2X4G 1066 RAM. Fortunately, I did not open them. But now it comes to ship to the company and having to order the good 1333 mhz RAM. Otherwise I use RAM that is slower than my full potential.

I advanced and called Lenovo and it brought to their attention. After the daughter of back and forth between 1066 and 1333, she decided at the end (of course assistance from their technical support level 2) 1333 is maximum for E450.

    Conclusion:
It seems that if you have E450, you may have to 1333.

If you have E300 or 350, you can have 1066.

If anyone has confirmation, please tell.

If you go to the Lenovo support site and enter the serial number of your S205, if will give you a list of all the machine components (including the RAM module manufacturer, size, speed, etc.).

The manual indicates that the specification of RAM for my S205 1066.  By entering my serial number, I found that Lenovo had actually installed 1333 RAM in my system.  Then, when I added more RAM, I knew to add 1333 instead of 1066.

No, I didn't bother to check my actual speed of the RAM.
