And if it's a Sata Drive more recent OD are sata you just have to make sure that it is a DVD burner and then swap the front to match the original.

  Your PC is not taken in charge by HP for anything other than windows 7.

  You will need to get the drivers from the websites of the RMP of the device.

  The hardest part for you will be to get XP to install even unless you know either how to get the AMD SATA driver slipstreamed a copy of your XP disc.  You can read a guide for this at the link below:

  I had trouble finding a graphics card for my desktop PC, because I have not yet installed. I bought a few steam games which does not really require much to run like today's games. Although I always have trouble trying to run my games decently. My goal is to run my games to a good 60 frames per second. A game in my library that is very difficult to run is on salary 2.   The video controller in your model is not entirely Vista or W7 capable.

  Here is a driver that will allow you to change the resolution of the screen and have the graphics acceleration, but you don't have Windows Aero (one of the reasons that the gpu is not quite capable of running W7).

  Download and run this graphics driver.  You will probably get an error of unsupported operating system.

  Conclusion of any windows error.

  Go to Device Manager and click on the video controller needing drivers.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.
