HP Pavilion 17 f143no: the upgrade or replacement of the processor

Hello. I can switch processor on my HP Pavilion 17 - f143no Energy star for laptop, or it is integrated to the motherboard and it is not replaceable?

Here are the applicable maintenance manual:

Manual download

Look at pages 26-28. Each motherboard has a different processor, so processors are welded on. In theory, you could buy one of the motherboards with a better processor (about one of them would be better than this thing AMD E1).

However, these motherboards with integrated processor tend to be very expensive.

The manual seems to tell us that you can install an i7-3632QM, which is a great leap from what you have. So and if I'm trying to get a second opinion from @erico so I do not send you to a dead end. But I'm sure you can.

Are they compatible? If this is not the case, can you recommend me an another quad core CPU that is?

Is impossible to pass an A6-4xxx an A10-7xxx series. But you can switch to a

    Processor AMD A10 - 4600M (3.2 GHz/2.3 GHz, 1 600 MHz/4.0 MB L2 cache, DDR3, quad core, 35W)

    Here is the Service Manual:

This is a drop in replacement. The motherboard, memory, etc. would remain the same. He would still use memory DDR3-1600.

Here is the processor for sale on eBay:

AMD processors are not something in high demand so aren't too expensive. The upgrade that you propose would be very noticeable. It is not easy, however. If you have questions, after return.

  • Pavilion g6 - 2217cl: the HP Pavilion g6 - 2217cl RAM and CPU/GPU upgrade

    Hey there, I am looking to upgrade the RAM and CPU/GPU on my G6 Pavilion. Here's my current characteristics;

    Laptop model: HP Pavilion G6 - 2217cl

    Operating system: Windows 10 family (x 64)

Current RAM: 6 GB (used 2 slots)

CPU/GPU: AMD A8 - 4500 APU with Radeon HD graphics card

What are the possibilities should I upgrade?

If more information is needed, I'll be happy to provide.

It supports up to 8 GB of memory and the processor can be upgraded to a 10 - 4600M. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

There is no video card to upgrade, but for the models of series AMD A video is contained in the processor itself and an upgrade of the processor also carries with it an upgrade for HD 7640 G HD 7660 G video. It's light but a bit noticeable and clock speed go from 2.8 ghz to 3.2 ghz, which is not huge but noticeable. Memory is a DDR3-1600 module, and you can replace your 2 gig with a 4 gig to spend 6 to 8.

Memory upgrade is as easy as... CPU/APU don't upgrade not so much.

  • HP Pavilion g6-1b39wm: upgrade the processors HP Pavilion g6-1b39wm

Sorry if this question has been asked over and over.  Just could not get a clear answer from HP.

I have a g6-1b39wm with processor AMD E350 Pavilion.  Seems to be a specialized processor designed for laptops.  Low watt, unusual design.

I want to put a higher CPU speed on the Board, but am concerned that the existing card is designed for just this processor.  More specifically a chip dual core can be replaced with an image chip?

Othe people were told to look at the service manual for the laptop and put one of the processors listed on the chessboard.   But my processor seems to be a different design than the other processors listed in the service manual.

    Question:

    1. a motherboard computer laptop start G6 designed for a dual core AMD E350 can support a quad core AMD Chip?

2 how high a power draw can adapter Board?  (The E350 seems to draw only 18 watts)

    2. what chip generation AMD can be supported?  A6, A8?

3 should. the graphic chipset match what the E350 has?

    Thank you

    Hello

It uses "413-Ball BGA FT1" socket which means it is soldered to the motherboard so it is impossible to upgrade, unless you are really good with a soldering gun or buynig a new motherboard (= the new price of machine).

    Hello

I don't plan on specific issues.  You will need to reuse the existing heatsink.

Review a couple of uTube videos of Intel i7-2600 installation so that you get the feel of what you need to do.

I suggest that you plan to install latest BIOS update for your PC and your PC stable before you proceed with the replacement of the processor.  It could not hurt to run diagnostics to make sure that your PC hardware is stable.

If you experience problems after installing, then try to clear the CMOS memory.

  • Upgrade the processor with AMD 10 - 4600M of HP Pavilion dv7-6101er (lz661ea) FS1 and FS1r2 taken

Hello friends. I own HP Pavilion dv7-6101er (lz661ea) and I want to upgrade processor. Current processor is A6-3410MX and socket FS1 I want to replace for socket AMD A10-4600 M FS1r2. But I'm not shure will be new processor works in my notebook? I asked this question in support of the ADM, they said that the two CPU is compatible, but need software support in the bios of the specific laptop models. I can't put this question to the HP support because the time of free assistance of my model is over. Please ask - my notebook BIOS will support a new processor?

    n00x wrote:

All of what you have written - I understand that. But understanding and you - the replacement of the processor is necessary because the lack of performance. For a new book, I have no money. You are an employee of HP and can really help to ask someone of your colleagues who will know exactly to run the new AMD processors in my notebook. All my books have HP I have always helped the company - buy its products, help me and you now. I'm not pleading for much - just a concrete answer - will work or not?

    N° !! That's where you're wrong. I'm not an employee of HP.

Very few of us here in the forums are employees of HP. Those who are, with few exceptions, are here volunteer their time to help the owners of HP products. It is a peer to peer forum, where the owners of HP products share their time and expertise, helping others who need assistance. We are here to help. We help voluntarily.

There is no concrete answer on this. Sometimes an upgrade to a non supported CPU will work, but more often it will fail.  Read my previous posts. The risk of any currency you use in your country to buy the new processor is yours, not me, or HP.

Here's a solid answer for you... Use a processor that is listed in the Service & maintenance Guide and your chances of success of upgrade will increase considerably.  I can't say that your upgrade success will be guaranteed because there's always the chance you can break something during the assembly/disassembly or not having knowledge of a critical assembly/disassembly procedure and inadvertently destroy your new processor.

If you want a high-performance CPU and chipset in a laptop computer, then choose when making a purchase of laptop. Computer laptop/notebooks are not actually intended to be upgraded.

No if you do not replace it you need to get an AMD... the AMDs all have the same type of socket and the Intels are completely different.

  • 23 - g011 HP Pavilion all-in-One: can I upgrade the processor?

    Hello world!

I'm at an impasse earlier and had to get a fast PC. What I ended up getting was 23-g011 HP Pavilion all-in-One. When I got it, I thought it was OK, but as I started working I realized its limitations. I guess that there's a 1.3 ghz processor, which seems to be the only real issue with it, I would say.

My question is, can I upgrade the processor?

I heard different things. Some say yes, others say no.

I really don't know much about this stuff, but I hope someone can help me here.

    Thank you!

I'm sorry, but apparently the proccessor is soldered to the motherboard of the computer, so you cannot update. All-in-one computers are not designed to be upgraded (I have a Pavilion b010 20 with a proccessor 1.48 GHz) and I would really have a problem with the "no upgrade" thing if the proccessors was not so terrible! I feel you, I do a lot of game and I have for them to run as 5 fps. So to sum it all, you can't update.

  • Is it possible (or useful) to replace the processor in my HP Pavilion Elite m9060n...

Is it possible (or useful) to replace the processor in my media library of Rikouman Pavilion Elite m9060n PC... There an IPIBL-(Berkeley) motherboard with Intel Chipset G33. Intel Core 2 Quad Logo running up to 2.4 GHz. is there a processor more fast which will be taken in the Socket 775 and improve the operating speed? It is economically interesting if possible? Would be very happy comments from some computer guru, as I'm obviously a novice.

    Morrismomic, welcome to the forum.

The existing processor is Quad core maximum that you can use.  Your only choice is the Core 2 Duo E6700 or E6850:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01197633

Personally, I'm not sure you'll see an appreciable performance gain with either.  The memory and the video card are major concerns, too.  The system is as strong as its weakest component.

This is a power supply that will work for you:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139048

It is modular allowing you to use only the necessary cables.  This means that there is more room inside the circulation of air.  He is also a 600W which will give you extra power for the possible future upgrades.  Any block of power SUPPLY Corsair will be good.  They are fans of the quality products for a reasonable price.

  • Can I upgrade the processor in my Hp Pavilion G7 1273nr?

I want to know if it is possible to upgrade the processor in my computer? and maybe the graphics card

    You have the i3 - 2330 m.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

Yes, you could as high as this upgrade:

    Processor Intel Core i7 - 2620 M 2.70 GHz (turbo SC up to 3.40 GHz) (4.0 - MB
    L3 cache, dual core, 35 W)

There is no possible upgrade to the video without having to replace the entire motherboard. There are motherboards for him which go as high as a:

    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6470 M with 1024 MB of discrete video memory (128 MB × DDR3 16 @ 900 MHz × 4
(PCs), 64-bit S3 package, switchable muxless

But if you replace the card motherboard and CPU, it would cost as much as a new laptop.
