HP pavilion 23 b010

What computer is turned on the HP comes on the screen, after a few seconds 5 points rotate in a circle in the middle of the lower display. Then the screen goes blank for about 3 seconds then turns on with the day and date in large characters, and then it seems to freeze. It has always kind of fact but has never frozen (use to touch the mouse or keyboard and it would go to the password section).

It's a keyboard and wireless mouse and I put new batteries in both, they swapped out them with another mouse and keyboard I know work (with the USB thing that makes their work). Also tried another port for USB.

What is the next step?

Hi RR34208,

It is possible that the problem is not with USB devices, but with the operating system or other software startup.

You might want to try refreshing or reset your PC. Here are some steps to help with this:

I hope this helps.

  • HP Pavilion 23-b010 BIOS updated

I have a question about updating the BIOS on my HP Pavilion 23-b010. Currently installed BIOS is version 8.09 FRIEND (who has been the construction of the plant). When I bought the machine at the factory loaded OS is Windows 8. Subsequently I have upgraded to Windows 8.1. Recently, I noticed on the Windows 8 software & Web page download driver for my particular PC there is an update of the listed BIOS - version 8.13 (sp8624.exe) applicable to the 2AF0 of the ROM. family then checked this update the directory FTP Internet HP site - where it is described as a "critical security improvement."

I would like to install this update of the BIOS, but it is not displayed as an update on the Windows 8.1 software & driver downloads Web page to my PC. So I need some advice. My current BIOS 8,09 was for a machine of Windows 8; so is the new version 8.13. But I have upgraded to Windows 8.1; so my attention before installing - don't want my PC into a brick.

FYI my PC motherboard is Pegatron 2AF0.

  • Pavilion 20, b010: can I upgrade cpu on Pavilion 20

Hello, I think to upgrade my processor cpu on my windows 8 Pavilion 20, b010, an all-in-one computer, but I'm not sure because I don't know if my computer can handle it. I am looking to upgrade to a 2.5 GHz-3.7 GHz processor but not sure that my system can handle it, because one I have currently is only 1.48 GHz, so it makes me think that my pc will not be able to handle it because it is so small, and because it is an all-in-one computer , so I don't know if my cpu can even be changed. Can someone please help me with this issue, it would be much appreciated.

Here are the specifications of your all-in-one HP Pavilion 23-b010 computer office. According to the specifications, this computer has no video output of any kind ports (DisplayPort, VGA, DVI, or HDMI). You will need to purchase and use a USB-to-video as the EVGA UV adapter more + UV39 or UV19 to connect an external monitor to your computer.

    Hello

No, you can't do anything for the games because of the CPU:

The processor socket: not applicable, because the CPU is soldered to the motherboard

    and to the GPU:

Separate graphics cards are not supported on this motherboard

Moreover, the niche is already occupied by:

Thanks for any comment on this.

    Denver1003

Unfortunately, the information on the motherboard of your PC indicates that, although there can be no slot PCIe, it does not accept a graphics card because the graph is actually built into the AMD processor.

And since you already have 6 GB memory DDR3-1600, examant who don't will not yield any performance gain.

Sorry - but you have what you have.

    Hello

This program (RWEverything) locates the Win 8 OEM key embedded in the BIOS.

First, download the appropriate version of its download page. If you have a 64-bit operating system use RwX64V.1.6.5.9. There is also a portable version available that allows you to run and forget about it.

Extract the program in the compressed file, and then double-click the RW.exe executable file to start the program.

Then, click on ACPI superior and toolbar icon MSDM table in ACPI table. And you will find your key BIOS embedded directly in the data row.

Be extremely careful. This program can replace the BIOS data and ruin your PC.

If you are not comfortable with this suggestion, you can try Microsoft but I think they will bounce back you to HP.

You may need to bite the bullet and run a factory restore.

  • East - the Pavilion 20 it be upgraded to the 5 GHz wireless card?

The HP Pavilion 20 can be improved to support the 5 GHz wireless card?

HP Pavilion 20-b010 all-in-One desktop computer
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03524659

This computer has an integrated Ralink RT-5390 mini-map PCIe wireless.
    http://www.MediaTek.com/en/products/connectivity/WiFi/PC/PCIe/rt5390/
This card is the only ONE BAND (2.4 GHz), supporting IEEE 802. 11 b, g and n

IF you wish for the 5 GHz band,
THEN BOTH devices must support the new IEEE 802.11ac Standard Dual-Band.

FIRST, a wireless (WAP) access port or Wireless Router on your home network must be Dual-Band (IEEE 802.11ac).

IF this equipment is provided (for rent) your provider of wireless Internet (ISP).
THEN, you will need to work with them for this upgrade (may have fees $$).
IF you have your wireless router, THEN it must support IEEE 802.11ac for the 5 GHz band.

SECONDLY, your HP Pavilion 20-b010 all-in-One will require a new (replacement) wireless card and MAY require the replacement of the antenna (dual-band).

The AC-7260 Intel Dual-Band with Bluetooth 4.0 is a topic highly IEEE 802.11ac compliant PCIe minicards.
IF you only had previously not supported Bluetooth, THEN this additional feature is a BONUS.
