HP Pavilion 4025ew: adding RAM in dv7-4025ew

Hello

My concern is if I install 2 x 8 GB PC3 - 10600 DDR3 RAM. It will have an effect sufficiently better to install 2 x 4 GB or is it just useless? Is it still possible?

Thanks in advance,

Jacob

AutoCAD would be one of the things that might be helped by 16 gigs but it's a moot point because the laptop cannot have 16 gigs. 8 is that the more you can install. If you try to install 16 concerts it won't start, more than likely, and if it does will be unstable.

    Hello!

I plan on upgrading my laptop with 8 GB RAM (currently have 4). The question then is, CPU - Z says I have 4 GB single channel DDR3 (1600 MHz) RAM, so what 'type' of 4 GB of RAM should I add? This who should I look for? I was warned several times that add the wrong type of RAM to my laptop will give disastrous results and it makes me a little more careful about what I should do. In addition, adding RAM will be no the warranty? Because I got still more than 2 years additional warranty from the store I bought to. I really need the extra GB of RAM that I intend to play games on it to which 4 GB just not sufficient.

    Yes,

Not the one you provided the link to. The modules in the link I provided are guaranteed compaible bars of memory. If you want to switch to 8 GB, and then use a single module of 8GB or 4 GB two identical modules. Remove the module of memory initially installed,

Do not mix the new modules with the initially installed memory module.

The laptop probably will boot up if you do and the first thing that crucial will ask is if mix you the memory modules.

  • Mac Pro early 2008 adding ram problems

I recently added RAM to my Mac Pro early 2008. The Mac Pro recognizes only 4 of 8 memory locations. I moved the slots and moved the memory and all slots and all the memories are good. No matter where I put them, or what memory I use, the Mac Pro will see 4 of 8. Any suggestions? Yosemite run 10.10.5, trying to fill all 8 locations with 800 mhz 2 GB DDR2 FB - DIMM.

    How are new?

Where have you bought the new?

    All new are identical?

All the 'old' are the same?

After adding RAM 48 MB on my HP2300DN, on the control panel appear 'uninitialized disk '.  I tried to do a cold reset and replace DIMM Slot2 and Slot3, but without success.  Any help would be really appreciated.

You probably confuse the printer. You seem to be using 2 DIMMS that are 48Mo and each also 8 mb flash. These chips contain the firmware in the flash section and the memory in the other. Since you're probably using a chip LJ2300 another dimm, you confuse the printer with 2 firmwares. You must use a barrette of memory 32, 64 or 128 in the 3rd slot. Only 1 chip 8/48 MB can be used in this printer.

  • Flickering screen 17 Alienware r3 after adding ram

I have a new r3 Alienware 17 it came with 8 GB of ram, I just added ram 2x16gb 2133 corsair.  When I put power back on the screen started to Flash, it is very pronounced in the office when I open the start menu.  I checked the BIOS is updated.  I put the old RAM in and flicker went.

I checked that this computer is rated for 32 GB, so I wonder what I do wrong or if I need to update other elements to make this work.

    Any help is appreciated!

Could be many things, software packages to the specifics of the hardware. We usually use Kingston, Toshiba, Samsung and Hynix.

    Hello

    I want to buy a memory to my inspiron 530! Here > http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/category.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&category_id=4325&mfgpid=1226170&chassisid=-1<- the="" 1="" gb="" module="" (28="">

I read on documentation (http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/inspd530/en/OM/HTML/parts.htm#wp1580857) when I install memory I need to remove the PCI Express x 16 card... I don't understand. I thought adding ram was simple and all you had to do is open the case, insert the ram and secure them correctly and then close the case. Start the pc and it's done.

I know that my inspiron 530 can have only 4 GB of ram. I have 2 GB of ram for now.

Is there something I need to know? Is there something different?

Dell is not offering Win7 drivers for this model. I suggest you go here and read some of the links on the upgrade to Windows 7. Run the Win 7 Upgrade Advisor first to see what it says on your system.

Without knowing what equipment you have (for example, video card, sound card, network adapter, etc.), it is impossible for anyone to tell you exactly what drivers you need. In some cases, but not all cases, Vista 64-bit drivers can work. The Vista 64 drivers are here. (Confirms that he says again Vista 64-bit upstairs when you load the page!) And if you use your Service tag (do not post here!) you can find a list of drivers installed Dell, so at least you will know what hardware you have, but keep in mind these drivers for Vista 32 bit.

You can also go here for links to the hardware and instructions to install Win 7. And you can search these forums for discussions on installing Win 7 on the Inspiron 530 to see which other users may have met problems.

For the first time I put in RAM, I kinda had to put a force on the subject, you know (first time ever put RAM in a laptop), but the metal little clamps on the sides don't click so I just opened the pliers, put it in there then their closed. I said "well I hope that it works" and good thing the computer turned on and everything but when I went to the system (I have Windows 8) they say I have only 4 GB installed. I took it apart again (pain in the ass, you mind) and went out of the RAM and once more tried with the clamps snapping, of course, has not. So I decided to do the same thing and who knows what happened? THE SAME THING. OK now I'm checking the BIOS as well and he also says 4 GB so now I'm here. Please help me: c

Yes, here is the Service Manual:

You have 2 slots and a 4 GB module is in one of them you can easily add a second module of 4 GB in the empty slot that I recommend, or you could actually add a module of 8 GB for a total of up to 12 concerts.

Page 42 shows how to add it. You need the memory SO-DIMM of DDR3L-1600 bars. Let us know if you need help to find a good deal on the memory you need. Tell us the country that you live if you do.

Start the p. 29 and note the warnings on opening the laptop computer is allowed only for service technicians and, unfortunately, I must tell you will proceed at the risk of the guarantee. Yet, many people choose to do and it's a services of this Forum, run by people not HP, can you bring, including HP itself can not, but don't say you were not warned. It is actually fairly difficult. Removal of the motherboard is not necessary, but demand close attention to tighten management and you will be OK. There is also the issue of finding the compatible memory. DDR4 is fairly new on the market.

See p. 35 and this is the memory module you need to reference HP:

    8 GB 2133 MHz 1.2V shared DDR4 820570-005

    It works:

There is no guarantee that the memory of Kingston on that you questioned work. Kingston is no memory they guarantee will be compatible with your PC.

Crucial memory is memory that is guaranteed to be compatible with your PC. See the following URL.

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/Pavilion-P6-2494ea

Upgrade to16GB you will need to install two identical 8 GB modules. It is best practice to follow. No game Mix is not a good plan.

Adding a module of memory from another brand or mixing them is very likely to result in a single module is recognized as installed. It could also lead to a lack of start-up scenario, and I'm fairly certain you don't want that to happen.

Unfortunately, it is not a good way to upgrade the memory. Your system will be unstable. You will not be able to set the memory timings. This isn't a passionate we can twist trimings native and secondary and motherboard bus speed on.

If you do things, you need to replace the two modules with compatible memory modules guarantee a memory well known manufacturer guarantee the manufacturer and the seller will be compatible. Make another way, including the method you used are a shot in the water. You were lucky that Notepad starts even in Windows.
