HP Pavilion 500-239. Processor running hot

Hello. I recently bought a new HP Pavilion desktop pc 500-239. Unpacked Tuesday and used for only a few days. Immediately I noticed that the fan seems to be running pretty strong and fast, I downloaded a few temp monitors and I noticed that the processor runs at more than 90 degrees C at full load. Now, I know this is normal, especially for a new pc. The case is in a place where it becomes high flow. I even removed the side panel to let some air in, the same thing.

The processor is an AMD A - 10 6800 k quad core. Now, I've read the fan stock on those who are a bunch of garbage and will have to level it as well to get new thermal paste, but I wanted to see if there was no explanation as to why it runs so hot out of the box. I can't imagine that HP would leave the pc leave the warehouse without checking that the first.

Operating system is Windows 8.1 64bits

  • Pavilion 500-123w processor upgrade won't work

I have the HP Pavilion 500-123w computer with the card mother H-Joshua-H61-Μatx (Joshua). I just bought this computer on December 23, 2013.

According to the specification of HP product site, he says that the motherboard will support a processor Quad Core of Intel Core i7-2xxx (Sandy Bridge).

So I bought an Intel Core i7 - 2600K CPU and installed. When I turn on the computer, it says "ERROR not taken into CHARGE PROCESSOR - YOUR COMPUTER NOW STOP." It won't let me even get into the BIOS, because it stops after a few seconds.

I had already installed the update of the most recent from the HP site BIOS until I installed the processor. The BIOS version is JOS_817.ROM V8.17

I studied this motherboard on other sites, and they said that this motherboard supports Intel Core i7 - 2600K processor.

When I put the processor back original, everything works fine. I installed the new processor 3 different times and I get the same error message.

Are there settings jumper, I need to change the motherboard? Does anyone else have this problem?

I am an electronics technician and have done repairs to computer for years. For me, it looks like there is a problem with the BIOS does not recognize the new processor.

    Thanks for any help,

    Dan

Oh no, I just heard from HP Support and they said:

"Dan, I checked the specifications of your PC and gathered the information that your PC is compatible with Intel Core i7-2xxx (Sandy Bridge) Quad Core, but the processor Intel Core i7 - 2600K is not compatible with your PC." So, I recommend you to install with Intel Core i7-2600 (Sandy Bridge) Quad Core.

Thus, the i7-2600 is a little different than the i7 - 2600K. Wish I had known before that I spent more than 300 million dollars on the new processor.

I should have purchased separate components and built a new computer from scratch, like that I could update if I needed to. Well, we live an apprenticeship. Factory computers are not easily expandable.

Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it sincerely.

Well there at - it an option to change the bios of my laptop and to upgrade a custom new in there. Given that I get a start in my laptop screen with the image of two political leaders, as it has been gifted by Government. And I want to get this please help me.

It could be done in the advanced options (hidden by default) in the BIOS. Unfortunately BIOS and HW manufacturers will not let you do. You can change or set a lot of things in this section and people might prefer an upgrade instead of buying a new laptop. This is not what they want. In addition to this, Microsoft introduced the "secure starting" which makes laptops almost unusable for non-Windows users because the legacy mode does not always work.

Hello very good day my question is if my pc is compatible with this card EVGA GTX 750 Ti SC

I want to ensure before making the purchase

    Intel Core i3-3240 CPU @ 3.40 GHz

    Foxconn

    Integrated Intel HD graphics

    10 64-bit Windows Home

    Marc, welcome to the forum.

Yes, I think that your motherboard should be compatible with the video card.  The card requires UEFI in the motherboard and your mother should have.  Just be aware that the specifications concerning the State of the map that it requires only a power supply (PSU) with 300W power.  Many members have reported that it is rather 400W.  You can try with the current POWER supply, but if this does not work I suggest one made by Corsair.  I recommend at least 500W.

  • Pavilion 500-046: fan runs loudly after BIOS update

So I downloaded the BIOS and sends an update notifications HP wireless. Consumer Desktoop PC BIOS update HP (family ROM SSID ZAEO). After the restart, the fan on my PC very strong rotates every 30 seconds or so for about 15 seconds then turns off; sometimes even more frequently. It's never happened before. Anyway I can fix this or go back to the old BIOS or something?

Then I opened my PC and went home with a feather duster and a vacuum. This ended the problem.

  • Office Pavilion 500-281: upgrade of processor and graphics HP Pavilion 500-281

I just bought this HP Pavilion 500-282 3/15/15.  I would like to upgrade from the intel hd graphics card 4400.  Also, I would say to install the I3 I5 4130.   How hard would that be? I upgrade the BIOS?  The power supply is 300 Watts.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

    [Personal information]

HERE IS THE SPEC PAGE for this unit.  It lists the processors i5 which will work with the motherboard, just scroll down.

The intel hd graphics card 4400 is part of the processor but will be promoted to the Intel HD Graphics 4600 (GT2) with any of the i5 processors listed.  If more than one upgrade is necessary, you should know that food can be a problem and the graphical upgrade with Intel onboard graphics is somewhat a problem, too.  Be very sure, through research, that works in the motherboard video card to the study. • HP Pavilion 500-311no: the hp Pavilion 500-311no upgrade

Hp Pavilion 500-311no desktop PC, I bought a few years ago and now I feel like I would get some more power out of it then is it possible to upgrade this computer. I use mostly this pc for a game so what I'm looking to upgrade is the gpu. It seems that the motherboard supports the latest grphics cards and I think they should also fit the case. Incase of replacement parts, the power supply needs to be replaced probably as well. Also overclocking motherboard support and how the overclocking and replacement parts affect warranty?

    Greetings,

You have some positives on your side:

    PCIe available x 16 slot 3.0.

    UEFI BIOS.

Your chassis will limit the duration of the update of the graphics card.

You have only a 300 Watt power supply.

Most of the HP motherboards cannot be overclocked. I have a processor Intel 4820 K. HP offers limited overclocking abilities with this processor.

Check the measurements on the existing power supply.  A diet of 600 runs most new graphics cards high-end. NVIDIA cards tend to require less energy than equivalent AMD cards.

Check the height of the rear panel input/output where the x 16 slot is to determine the maximum length of a new card.

Shop for a new card graphics and power supply when you know your limits. The high-end cards are usually double slot. Make sure you have room to install a card double slot. You need to be able to burst a second plate of input/output rear panel to install a dual slot graphics card.

Modular power supplies reduce tangles of cables in the chassis.

    See you soon!

  • Pavilion 500-339: update video card for a 500-339 Pavilion

I have a HP Pavilion 500-339. AMD A10, processor 3.5 GHz quad-core with 8 GB of RAM, running windows 8.1, 64-bit. It came with a Radeon R7 240 video card. I know that physical space is limited inside the computer case, but what could I upgrade to that would fit? While not the biggest PC-gamer out there, I do not play a bit and I would like the best features. Thank you!

    Hello

Without replacing the power supply, the NVIDIA GTX 750 TI would be an excellent choice. Choose a model that does not require a 6-pin auxiliary power connector.  Open your Pc and do some measures so that you know for sure that the GTX model 750 will be fit. Most should adapt to certain expectations.  Know what the return policy is before you buy.

    You'll be glad you asked!

This is your computer .  Power supply is 300W.  PROCESSOR AMD A8-5500.  D 7560 AMD graphics card.

COD Black Ops must these requirements.   Your CPU meets the corrected value.

The graphics are a serious difference... the comparison here is.  560ti vs the 760 and both are 170W.

You will need at least a 500W PSU, but again, I would see that a 600W Corsair associated with a card EVGA.

Finally, you need 8 GB of memory of motherboard.  Just 6 GB. Not sure about your Setup, because there are 4 locations, and you have 6 GB installed... Run the CPUID CPU-Z to analyze the 4 locations.

  • MacBook Pro mid-2012 running hot (MacOS Sierra)

    Hello

    I have a MBP mid-2012 13 inch with 16 GB. of ram and a 500 GB. SSD

I had it set up with boot camp and dualboot El Capitan and MS-Windows-10

Everything is working, all the features and functions in the two operating systems.

I was very pleased with this MBP.

Recently, I put a new battery in it and upgraded to Mac OS Sierra.

Since then the MBP runs hot.

    It heats up very quickly.

Is this a common problem with macOS Sierra?

Or do you think that the NEW battery maybe causing the MBP get HOT?

I use an adapter to power 85 watts OEM.

The battery seems to work fine.

Several demons as mdworker are running to set up the Sierra which CPU load until adjustment ended.

You can check with activity monitor.

  • HP Pavilion 500-297c: Boot failure now need to recoversystem

My Pavilion 500-297c will not start.   All initial tests HD pass ok.   I am running an extended test.   Resetting the system w/maintain files fails.

I guess even a hard disk failure.   I purchase and install a new HD.  The system came with Windows 8, which has since been upgraded to Windows 10.

So, I'm going to need some kind of bootable recovery disk HP.  No idea how to get a CD or bootable USB drive to restore the system to a bootable state?

Also, given that the current hard drive always seems to work at least in part, I hope to set it up as a second drive on the system once I get the new HD installed.  What is the best way to try that?

    > No idea how to get a CD or bootable USB drive to restore the system to a bootable state?

Because Windows 10 _was_ installed on your computer, a "fingerprint" of your computer is registered with Microsoft.

This 'fingerprint' allows you to download Windows 10, on any computer and create a bootable DVD that can be used on your computer, without having to enter a 25-character license key.

    Reference: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

There is no need to wait for HP to courier-ship anything for you.

Tip: buy a new disk drive and install, remove your current hard drive.

Install Windows 10 on the new drive and then attach the old drive as a "slave."

and copy all your files to it on the new drive.
