• Win 7 Sound recorder-audio recording device is not found

  New installation (new player) to Win 7 Premium 64-bit on Dell XPS 420 Quad Core Hiome.  When I run the sound recorder, it gives an error this audio recording device is not found.  Microphone is plugged into the front socket.  It worked with Vista.  I enabled see the disabled devices and devices disconnected sho.  Any ideas?  I also tried taking back mic.  I scanned for hardware changes.

  I looked through previous posts and see nothing about it, I hope I didn't miss it.

  My question is: is it possible to continue to record a voice note while the phone is closed. I tried and do not understand whether it is possible or not. I would like to be able to use the BB as an audio recorder / voice and power close the phone and put it in my pocket or desk and he have not yet opened.   Welcome to the Microsoft community. According to the description of the problem, you want the "microphone" back on the recording of the sound options tab.

  Follow these steps and check:

  (a) go to Start, Control Panel, sound, recording tab.

  (b) do a right click on a box empty and make sure you show disconnected devices and to see the disabled devices are checked.

  (c) if the microphone now appeared there, right-click on it and select Activate and set as default device.

  Recently bought a windows 7 and had my friend machine install windows 7 in there.  I tried to download several audio recorders in my machine, but continue to receive error messages when I open these programs indicating that the bad device ID nor no found recording device.  When I go to control panel-registration there is a microphone and an in-line icon, but nothing else.  It won't let me set up anything he comes.  I'm missing or overlooked something here?  Or do I need to install a sound card to make my downloaded recorders work?  Had an XP machine for 7 years which just crashed and burned two months back and am not true well educated in Windows 7 again!  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  I have a Pavilion laptop, G6 - 2244a.  I connected it to my amp via audio tracks that allows me to the sound of reading through the amplifier that works very well.  I got a bunch of audio recording (Adobe Audition) and I want to be able to record audio from my amp directly to my package for registration but all it does record using micro computers, not directly through the audio leads.  I visited HER in control PANEL and selected STEREO MIX, but nothing seems to come through.  I used to have the same game on my desktop that works wonders, doesn't understand why I can't make it work here.  Any help is welcome.

  Hello.  I have 1.5 PP.  I have a microphone Techinca AT2020USB Audio.  I have a couple different computers 1.5 - one who has XP as an operating system running, I can use the microphone to record audio.  On the computer that is running the Vista, I can't.  Is anyone aware of a patch or something that will allow me to do this work?

  1.5 was never certified for use with Vista.  There are no patches to make sure.
