HP Pavilion AU113TX 15: Contains AU113TX slot M2 SSD?

My HP Pavilion AU113TX 15 came with 2 HDD of TD and 16 GB of RAM, I wanted to know if she has the SSD M2 slot where I install SSD while keeping the built-in HARD drive as it is. Product manual available here said that the Pavilion laptops have slot M2 SSD. Thanks for the help!

Hey there! @kushalpandya,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I understand that you need to know if there is a slot m2 on your laptop.

I have checked the specification of your laptop and found there is no option to install M.2 SSD on your laptop.

There are some models of portable Pavilion 15 who went with slot m2 where they have the option to install SSD m2.

Since your laptop with SATA you don't have the possibility to opt for SSDS m2.

Please keep me updated!

Have a great day! :-)

    Hi @ankurtr,

I read your great post. If you look at my link for the service manual that I sent, he states that these items are compatible.

    \

    The GNRC SSD 256Go 2280 M2 SATA-3 value 865902-001

    The GNRC SSD 128 GB 2280 M2 SATA-3 value 847110-002

    Solid-State drive cable 856353-001

It should be either a 256 GB Sata - 3 or SSD 128 GB 2280 M2 SATA-3 M2 and solid state cable must be Solid-State drive 856353-001 cable

In addition, the SSD at Amazon may be compatible. But I'll always ask contact you a local technician and confirm that before ordering the part.

I hope that answers your question. Please let me know how it goes. Believe me, I've done everything I can to help out here with a lot of research efforts and enter it.

SSDS all have sons the same size and holes threaded on the bottom and sides.  They all use the same fine metric threads live short (short, so they don't lower).  These screws must come with the adapter, and I live in general using the lateral holes.  Parts of the adapter have threaded, 3 holes and you will use the back ahead and away from those for channels of the drive Bay.  If you look at each side of a standard 3.5 "HDD, you will see the same same spacing holes.

Some jobs need the SSD to shift to the left so the orientation of the SSD SATA power and data ports match exactly where they would be if the current drive was a 3.5 "HARD drive clutter.  An example is the drive in a Z620 of drawers which accept 3.5 form factor devices "and slides of drawers in the deep part of the case and automatically mesh with ports of power/data SATA back inside.

Jobs that fuel just a loose cable and the data cable for the SSD is really doesn't matter much if the SSD is an adapter which keeps it more centered or offset to the left.  I've seen cases where a disk HARD 3.5 "given in the lower Bay and a centered SSD is in the upper drive Bay and there was nearly not enough cable length to reach easily shifted left for drives staggered in the Center.  You can see in the photo below that the Garland of feeding on the HARD drive has two unused SATA power below connectors, and there is not a lot of room between them.

The card you chose seems good... solid metal.  For the HP 8200 Elite CMT I have access to screws 4 total special 6-32 UNC silver HP threaded screw threaded back ahead and away from the screw holes on both sides of the adapter, and then you use the extraordinary end threads metric short screws mentioned above to fix the SSD to the adapter, as shown in the pictures of Amazon.  These HP silver screw 6-32 no metric I'm talking using Torx or flat screwdriver and their leaders are trained to slip into the channels of the drive Bay.

There are also other designs which are designed specifically for some HP workstations that include mounts insulation rubber with the sliding mechanism.  I don't think you have that... Here is a picture of eBay one of the 8200 Desktop Elite CMT demonstrating the existence of space on the left for 8 of these silver screw to store, which 4 are missing and used on 3.5 "single drive, you see there.  Don't throw those... they are not something, you can go to Ace hardware and buy.

My question is if I can use this slot to use an ExpressCard USB3.0

    Thank you

Yes you can. The speed you get is maybe not quite as long as would be obtained with a more modern system due to restrictions on bandwidth on your chipset. Expresscard housing is basically a 1 x pci-e slot. However, it should be faster than via the usb 2.0 interface. The 54mm card is a better choice that the variety of 34mm essentially uses a usb interface which will be even slower.

  • Pavilion a6120n: USB ports and slots memory card does not

My Pavilion a6120n desktop computer has worked brilliantly since I bought it. Since last week the 2 front usb ports and 2 unused usb ports in the back have stopped working. My printer is plugged into a rear port and my wireless mouse is plugged into a second rear port and these work very well.

I use usually a USB key for the exchange of data or card reader locations (which have also stopped working). I no longer see memory card icons in the window 'computer '. When install something again the "new hardware found" statement appears, but the driver install always fails. I think it's a software problem, but there is no usb drivers to download on the HP/support site that I can find... so...

Here's what I've tried so far.

Run antivirus software. Full scan & scan memory - no problem

Don't scan complete malewarebytes - no problem

I tried to reboot several times without success.

Catering to several previous = failure restore points

Computer restart in repair = failure mode

Use the repair disk I did = failure

Control the management of the power supply for each usb port see if power was properly routed = ok

Removed the cover of the housing and carefully inspected the cables and connectors.

Finally I tried to uninstall the drivers usb = failure

After restarting the computer the last time that the boot file has failed, and after several hours of attempting a repair, I had to reinstall Windows 7 completely.

Still no usb or memory card function.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

OK, after a lot of frustration and a reflection to when the problem started. I discovered it all started when I installed my new HP Envy 4500 printer all-in-one. It has wireless capabilities, but I installed it via a usb cable.  I just didn't know it would be the problem but I started with this premise.

I got all components usb of the computer (except the mouse at the moment). So I uninstalled all the usb drivers I had on Device Manager.

After restart, drivers loaded automatically and everything works fine now. I see my camera via the connection cable, the work now in sd slots and all the work of the usb.

I left the 4500 want connected and installed the printer with the network provided on the installation disc software. I test printed from my computer and iPod so far, and it still works properly.

I did have to reinstall Vista. Could it have been a glitch in the installation of the software want to through the usb cable? Don't know and don't care at this point. Just happy that everything works.

Thanks for the comments, and I consider this problem to be solved.

  • HP pavilion media center a1610n pci slot?

Hello, I have a hp pavilion media center a1610n I bought 6 years ago and it still works great! However I just bought a new graphics card to update my computer a bit and the card company chart says my computer needs to have a location express pci 2.0
How can I tell if my computer is compatible with this graphics card and what type of pci slot I have? Help, please!

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Media Center a1610n desktop and its card mother A8M2N-(NodusM3). According to specifications, your system was introduced on August 4, 2006 and has a slot PCIe x 16 for a graphics card. Based on this information, I guess he has a PCIe v1.1 location. This should be compatible with most cards PCIe v2.0, but will have problems with PCIe v2.1 and latest maps. Another element to consider is the power to your computer. Many, if not more, HP computers of consumers of this era came with 250 watts power supplies and the vast majority of the PCIe x 16 graphics card requires a minimum assessment of 300 watt or greater system.

By checking several motherboards using the Intel G43 Express chipset (same as the one in question), they are all are rated 16 PCI-E 2.0.  The standard 3.0 is more recent than the date of reference of the manufacturer of your PC.  Some PCI-E 3.0 might be OK in this motherboard but make sure that they are backward compatible.

  • 15-ak085sa Pavilion: Pavilion 15-ak085sa - has a port of ssd m2?

    Hello

Bought this phone last Sunday, but it is dissapointingly slow to have an i7-6700HQ; I guess it's down to a 5400 RPM as the main player.

Will there be a port M.2 SSD in this model of the Pavilion?

It would be great if I could keep the 2 TB with a value of storage but have the OS on an SSD of m2.

    Thank you

Currently, we are experiencing some problems related to the WSSD of m2-adding clients disks that have not been resolved. Here is the Service Manual:

    HP Gaming Laptop Repair manual

It has a slot for one SSD m2. If you try to install one, it seems that you will have better luck with a mSATA than a PCI-e model. The specifications indicate you may have a boot M.2 drive and keep the mechanical drive SATA.

  • HP Pavilion 15-ak002na Gaming: installation of an SSD

    Hello
I would like to install an SSD or a mSata/m2 in my PCie slot (if I have one). The SSD is expected to replace my HARD drive, this could go in a caddy to replace my CD player.

So, I want to be confirmed by the experts that my computer has a location free PCIe that supports the mSata and/or m.2 SSD? And if so, is this SATA II or III slot? There are chances that the installation of these will not void my warranty?

And finally, how the 3 options compare to eachother?

    Road to SSD:

    -Advantages:

+ Availability (I have a 240GB 2.5 "SSD already) (not that big of a pro)

    -Disadvantages:

    + More work

+ Certainly void my warranty (I got the laptop last month)

+ 1 TB of data up to 240 GB to sacrifice space.

    mSATA/m.2 road:

    -Advantages:

    + Less work

+ Not to sacrifice data space

    -Disadvantages:

    + Might not be as stable/fast /...

I honestly don't know much about this stuff, I just read an article that gave me the idea that something to do early in the spring. Please correct me if I have something wrong.

  • HP Pavilion DM4 - 3002TX Beats Edition supports mSata SSD 128 GB?

    Hello

I want to install a SSD 128 GB mSata in my HP Pavilion DM4 with 1 TB of HDD.

I already read the document "HP Pavilion dm4 Entertainment PC Maintenance and Service Guide"

It is said 'Supports a 32 GB mSATA SSD' and «a 20 GB mSATA SSD»

and when I read on combination mSata SSD with HDD.

"Support either a 750 GB, 5400 RPM, 9.5 mm hard drive + 20 GB mSATA SSD drive
configuration combination or a 500 GB, hard drive 7200 RPM, 9.5 mm + 20 GB mSATA solidstate
    combination drive configuration "

the document does not mix with 1 TB HARD drive.

The laptop supports SSDS this size and combination with 1 TB of HARD drive?

    Thank you

Yes it supports. See page 44 of this manual:

    Repair manuals

Check the service bay to be sure, you have the slot depicted on page 44.

The usefulness of the drive cache mSATA also depends on how much RAM you have, but I guess you have the 4 original concerts or at least no more than 8. Buy a 32 gig WSSD and install it. Restart the computer and let Windows load a driver. Now open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Console. Go to the performance tab and activate the acceleration. You will be able to choose how many the mSATA to use for acceleration and you can so use it all because that anything left over will not do much good. Restart once or twice to leave the files to migrate the mSATA reader, you should notice a lot, a lot more quick time startup and better performance in general. There is no other practical use for the reader of the WSSD as an accelration cache. It is not really possible to use it as a boot drive, but install the accelerator cache is well worth.

Where do you live? All over the country. We can help you find the drive of the WSSD.

There is only a single Bay for a SATA 2.5 inch hard disk, which can be replaced by a 2.5 inch SATA SSD, I recommend a Samsung 850 model Evo you can get on amazon.com and other sources.

The replacement operation is not really easy. You must remove the top cover and a few screws. Post back if you need more help with migration of software, etc.. If you feel that you could do without the DVD player, you can get a basket that allows to put a hard drive instead of the DVD player, but should discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this: I'm not a big fan but a lot of people do and it is not expensive or difficult. You don't want to put a SSD in such a device.

  • Pavilion dv6 - 1350us: dv6 1350us 240 GB SSD not recognized by BIOS ver F.41

    Hi all

I want to replace the stock 340 GB hard drive SATA with a 240GB SSD but the BIOS does not detect the SSD drive. Here are the specs:

HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook - dv6-1350us (Intel - Core 2 Duo)

    BIOS - Hewlett-Packard F.41, 12/11/2009

    SSD - Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240GB Model # MKNSSDCR240GB-DX

This laptop is currently in operation with no problems. It has been upgraded to Windows Pro 10 and all the latest updates installed - it's just very slooowly. The SSD, I try to use is checked 100% working. It detects and is accessible by other computers and works very well in a USB/SATA attached to this laptop docking bay. The SSD has been deleted, including the protected EFI & system partitions - IOW, it's completely empty - without walls.

I am capable of (old) drive image hard work and save it on an external USB drive. The image size is 110 GB and includes data, system and recovery partitions, so it fits on the SSD. When I install the SSD in the laptop there is no option to boot from it so I guess that it is not properly detected in the BIOS. Nevertheless, with the SSD installed, I can boot from a Windows 10 'repair DVD' and get to the point where he's ready to recreate the image. However, since the SSD is not detected in the BIOS, it just gives me an error and dumps me.

I want to update the BIOS to see if it helps but I can't launch the HP flash/upgrade BIOS updated SoftPaq (sp54629.exe) on Windows 10. I get a UAC error that says: this app has been blocked for your protection. An administrator has blocked the delivery of this application...... sp54629.exe... Publisher: Not approved

My question: if I restore the old o/s Win7 (original) of the partition recovery and then run the update of the BIOS SoftPaq under Win7, it will allow the BIOS to see the SSD? I don't want to waste hours until I can be fairly certain that the problem will be solved by upgrading the BIOS.

    Thank you in advance!

Update: still no solution to this problem of HP. 5 hours wasted. Had to install temproarily old hard drive from the laptop in order to reinstall Win7, as well as all the crapware HP forces on us all, the recovery of the DVD because Firmware HP update software does not work with Win10 - THANKS HP! Anyway, it did not help the problem at all. In addition, I tried a SSD of SATA-III (Samsung) different with the same results. HP has to pay a bunch of 12 years to write BIOS of their laptops. Well, time to throw this laptop HP in the landfill. HP - never.

    Hi all

I have a 8570w EliteBook using default HHD and bought 500 GB SSD value in one of two existing readers. I recently bought a second SSD to the second location available, but I can't seem to have it working (I place the SSD in the slot and all fine adjustments, but the system does not recognize).

Things, I've tried so far without success:

-Diskpart, miniTool Partition Wizard of Samsung

-Exchange the old SSD with a new one. New starts working while old stops working (which to me points out to a housing problem)

-Pic attached, with the (green) SSD slot and no working crack (red) - regardless if I change the SSD

is - it does not not by design? Is there a place where I have to put me on? Is there something we can do about it?

  • How can I verify that my laptop contains a 32 GB SSD Cache?

Just today, I received my portable Quad dvt-7000 and overall I am very happy with it.  However, my configuration must contain a 32 GB WSSD acceleration Cache on the hard drive. I can't confirm this by Speccy or even of the HP product information.  How can I confirm that this product actually contains this upgrade?  I deliberated rather or not to spend the $ on this feature.  I just want to confirm that I got what I paid for.

Open Intel Rapid Storage from the control panel and it will show here. The computer actually combines the WSSD to 32 gig and the main hard drive in a RAID array-0 so it appears as a single drive. I have the same setup and I am very satisfied with the performance. The startup time is incredible. Intel Rapid Storage Control Panel will show the WSSD to 32 gig tab acceleration if you have. You can also open the door at the bottom of the laptop and physically to confirm the presence of the WSSD. It looks a bit like a cross between a wireless card and a memory module.
