Hello:

You will probably need to install the drivers and software HP Vista, which should work as well on Windows 7.

Maybe you can Google to find an answer.  When was the last time you could make a backup of an any other operating system and restore it on a newer version?  Once you get this answer let us know.
Guess what this backup is for HP computers running Windows Vista only!  Maybe if you understand how works the backup program you wouldn't be so rough for those of us who are trying to help.  But since you've already made your decision, you can Google how to do.  Sure that no one here will help you now.  Maybe HP will... for a price.

  • Upgrade to the latest version - help / about window of Firefox does not display 'upgrade' as in instructions.

I want to upgrade to the latest version but - Firefox Help/About - window does not display 'upgrade' as in the instructions. I can't find a function 'upgrade' anywhere else. How to pass? The version I have is - 18.0.1 - it came with this computer.

In my view, that this computer has been hacked. Word began to do very strange things. We erased the hard drive and reloaded everything as it was originally when I bought it. I'm now get hacked online.

Initially, they got in one of my credit cards last fall. That's when all this started. They had my AOL e-mail address. He also got your credit card balance, the minimum payment, the due date and even then the amount of the payment. They got in my Barnes & Noble account and now order does not. Now I believe that they got on my AOL account - one thing after another began to go wrong. I can't change this AOL user id/e-mail address since it's the captain and I would like to lose about 15 years of "stuff."

The people who sold me this computer told me to use a free version of the antivirus. I'm very unhappy with him. I never had NO problem when I used fresh products of TrendMicro. These people also told me to use Firefox, because AOL uses Internet Explorer - what I already knew is like Swiss cheese.

Now, I can't get an update of Firefox. Is this also a hack?

Please help sort you can. Thank you for your time.

It's probably just the Firefox update problems. go to www.getfirefox.com and download Firefox 20.0.1

  • After the OS from Vista to Windows 7 upgrade, lost bookmarks. Could they be somewhere in "windows.old"?

    Hello

I upgraded my OS from Vista to Windows 7 and lost bookmarks, I had in Firefox. Back up my documents files and they are OK. Unfortunately, I don't think to back up my Firefox bookmarks.html file.

However, I did the upgrade of the operating system from the disk and a "windows.old" folder has been created which seems to have a lot of my old files, applications, and others, but I can't find "bookmarks.html" in the firefox folder or in my user folder.

Is there another place in windows.old where bookmarks could be, or a different file name, it may be under?

Please help, there are a few important bookmarks that I lost and which were accumulated over several years.

    Thank you!

Firefox has not used the file bookmarks.html for storage of bookmark since the release of Firefox 2. You need a JSON bookmark backup file or the file places.sqlite. See this:

    http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile

Your old profile is located here in Windows Vista and Win7:

    drive: \Users\Windows login user name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profile_name

You may need to display 'files and hidden folders' in Win7 to be able to access the Firefox profile in windows.old files and the new installation of the OS.

    Besides what abdelhak says:

The message of PXE boot that you receive when you start your computer has nothing to do with your CD/DVD-Rom drive. Your computer uses a PXE boot method to attempt to load Windows from a location on your network. Since you do not have this configuration, it is safe to ignore it. If it slows down the startup time of your system, contact your manufacturer and ask them for instructions on how to "disable PXE Network Boot of the BIOS.

    Hope this helps,

upgrade from vista to win7 will remove any virus that I may have

    Hello

do not normally remove you the malware by upgrading

You must do a clean install

    Try this instead:

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill

If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
  • Pavilion 17 G1P43EA #A2N: Bluetooth does not not on laptop HP Pavilion 17 (Win 8.1)

This may seem repeated, but really, I gave up. The bluetooth is simply does not. I downloaded the driver from the HP website and provider of bluetooth (Ralink). All of a sudden, the problem started when the bluetooth icon disappeared from the system tray. Then, in Device Manager it shows Bluetooth only when you select Show hidden devices. Then I uninstall the bluetooth in Device Manager and reboot, install all the files downloaded from the support site of driver HP that I later discovered that I should stick only to the Ralink (Mediatek) because I realized that the seller of bluetooth is the same as the vendor wireless. These procedures does not (I mean does not correct this icon disappeared from the system tray). Finally, I downloaded the driver for bluetooth on Ralink site (which, incidentally, was delicate and not simple). What's happened now, viola, the bluetooth icon came nicely. Among all these, he had restarted, close, wait, open again. In any case, the bluetooth icon is there but it just doesn't work. I checked the Device Manager, no yellow dot on bluetooth and the bluetooth doesn't appear in Device Manager without selecting display devices. I also tried services.msc and auto selection. Now, the net result is that bluetooth does not work. It identifies any device. I checked these devices on another computer and it is OK and works smoothly. It's really annoyeing. I think of buying a bluetooth key to solve it, but I tried an old bluetooth key and it did NOT work (I mean it is identified but not working to find any device bluetooth). Is there a any solution to this. Thanks in advance.

Looks like I can't get any support here. I would just like to add that the bluetooth issue is resolved by upgrading to windows 10.

  • Pavilion 14-v052tx: need Driver for camera and graphics from Nvidia for Win7 64 bit of score Alps

I bought this new laptop, HP Pavilion 14-v052tx, recently. I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit on this device. I want to downgrade to Windows 7 64-bit. It comes with 2 GB Nvidia GeForce 830 M dedicated GPU and Alps Touchpad. When I go to the device driver download page I don't see any driver listed for the two components to Windows 7 64 bit. For the touchpad, there only Synaptics Touchpad driver that does not work during installation. How can I get Alps will show Device driver and graphics driver Nvidia for Windows 7 64 bit?

So I should get the graphics drivers from Nvidia instead. Alright. But on the driver for the Synaptics touchpad touchpad driver does not install even. I mean the Setup program runs and finishesh very quickly. No option is added to the properties of mouse, nothing is added to add/remove program list, no icon in the taskbar - apparently no signs of the installed driver. Not to mention that I have Windows 8.1 for the touchpad Alps pointing device (ACPI\AUI1714\4 device instance path & 39CCCB47 & 0). Why would it have Alps driver for Windows 8.1 and Synaptics for Windows 7?

Edit: I just went in the file Release.txt shipped with Windows 8.1 Alps touchpad driver and discovered that it supports Windows 7 64-bit too. I guess I'll just install this driver.
