  I recently installed a Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SSD and Win 7 Ultimate (64 bit) on my computer laptop Pavilion dv6-7002AX (* NOTE *-purchased in Australia) and most of the time it went well. The current problem I have is the SM Bus controller and USB controller is listed as a problem in the Device Manager. It seems to be missing the drivers and I got the ID of material below.   I just finished reinstalling a new windows 7 64 bit on my laptop of uncles engaged. I reinstall the drivers and the only one missing is wireless network card driver. I run the scan on the HP site and it came not with all the drivers for the wireless adapter. It does not show that I have more drivers that need to be installed or updated. But still the wireless adapter does not work. I can't find the driver anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. It is a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop.

  I've had my Pavilion dv6-6024tx for over a year now and I've recently updated online for Windows 8. Unfortunately, once I upgraded, my AMD 6770 m graphics card doesn't seem to work and the batteries do not last more than 30 minutes. . Worse still is that I can't have switchable graphics functioning correctly (Radeon and Intel). Y at - it in any way at all I could get drivers updated for Windows 8 or is there any workaround foris it.

  I have a hp pavilion dv6 1002nr running Windows Vista Home edition.  I just installed a new modem/router from Verizon.  The modem/router is an Actiontec GT784 VNO (V stands for Verizon, I read).  However, Verizon technology that helped me to set up my wireless network said that my Windows Vista computer is 'inconsistent' with WPA or WPA2 security, when he had me assiting to set up my modem/router.  As a result, he said he had to set up WEP security (which is a weak way to secure my wireless network).  So it changed the parameters of the modem/router WPA2 to WEP, which made me feel less secure.  He said I needed to upgrade to Windows 7 or higher.  Is this true?  Is there another solution (like updating wireless drivers) instead?  I always keep my Windows Vista operating system.  Thanks for any suggestions or links to find solutions.  I want to use WPA or WPA2 security for better security.  Thank you.

  I don't recommend you disable or uninstall devices listed there.  One is the wired ethernet (Realtek).

  The other 2 are a few things of internet protocol.

  I love the laptop.  I did a clean reinstall of Windows 7 64-bit.

  Everything installed perfectly, except the SM Bus controller - I have a yellow! next to him - no drivers...

• HP Pavilion p7-1410 & Windows 7 drivers... do exist?

  Customer has just purchased a HP Pavilion p7-1410 (8 pre-installed Windows). Their booking engine that they currently use unique works through Internet Explorer 8, which is not supported by Windows 8. This is something that they have no control on, society they have at their service through are not yet upgraded their software to same IE9.  It is not a simple matter of upgrading browsers and still less simple to change the vendor/software solution. They work within the limits of the software of the seller.

  Currently, when a new computer is purchased, I must go and uninstall IE9. During this process, the system installed IE8. Then, I put the automatic updates to ignore updates IE9. Once again, that Windows 8 is is no longer compatible with IE8, I need to find another solution.

  The only solution I see is to downgrade the OS to Windows 7. This isn't a real problem since they opened Windows 7 license to install on new machines. The question that I have (before starting the process of decommissioning) is I see no drivers for the individual components of this data to the computer (network/graphic/audio/devices) of the flavor of Windows 7, only Windows 8 is listed on the Web site.

  My question is are there any Windows 7 drivers for this particular computer or what I have to have the customer return the machine to a computer that will be compatible with Windows 7 (drivers)?

  It is a machine stock purchased through Office Depot (Core i3 (2nd generation) / 8 GB of RAM/1.5 TB drive HARD/Windows 8 (x 64)). The customer is the upgrade for an IBM ThinkCentre with Windows XP Pro (yes I know... Please no mockery/jokes).
