  • Pavilion dv6 i3 with Window 7 64-bit. To start the HP logo appears, then I get a black screen

I have a Pavilion dv6 i3 with Window 7 64-bit. To start the HP logo appears, then I get a black screen with a blinking cursor. I ran all the tests start and everything this past. I tried all F8, F9, F10, F11, recovery options with no luck. I tried to start with the ERD Window 7 64 bit I created when I install the laptop. Nothing... I did it with all the disconnected device. No luck. I'm looking for all the options until I re - install windows. I started with the Windows 7 recovery DVD and it reads, but I cancelled the process because it will reformat the hard drive and I expect to work around all the hassels of having settings to reinstall the software, etc.. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks for the reply. I already tried these steps. I created a bootable floppy that I can get the data on the hard drive and am trying to restore windows to the recpvery of the DVD system that I ordered with the computer. Thank you

  • HP Pavilion dv6-1030us will not light

    Hello

    HP Pavilion dv6-1030us laptop
    Windows Vista 64-bit

This laptop was working fine when it was used earlier in the day. The food is good and the battery is good.

When I press the power button, the led power and other lights in the upper part as well as the light output at the front lights up for about 1 second and then turns off. A few times, the lights stayed a little longer and I heard the fan turns on and perhaps the hard drive, but then he cut. Whenever the screen was completely black. No screen of boot or anything.

I tried to pull the battery and now the power button for a minute, then replace the battery. That has not changed anything.

I tried and I tried pulling the battery, pulling the RTC battery and now the power button for a minute, then replace the batteries. That has not changed anything.

Does anyone have an idea as to what could be the problem?

    Thank you

  • HP Pavilion DV6-3014TX no longer lights

    Hello

    I have a HP pavilion dv6-3014TX.

My brother has spread very little water on it. Now it no longer works.

When I plug in the adapter, it used to be a white light flashes, indicating that the power is running. Now, this light is dead, what is the average power is not coming into the laptop.

I tested the adapter, nothing wrong with it.

I completely took apart my computer. I already did this time several before, dv6-3014TX has overheating problems and needs a lot of cleaning maintenance.

The under keyboard was mainly wet. But noting appears to be damaged on the inside. I cut the water and back up my laptop. But same problem: the computer turns on, light still dead.

I think the problem comes from the port where you plug in the adapter. It seems broken because of water poured around it.

This can be changed very easily. But I can't find where to buy it.

    THX!

    Looks like it's toast.

  • Pavilion dv6-3172ee: intel gpu graphics light dose?

I have a very bad experience with computer hp pavilion Dv6, I have many problems with the GPU and overheating at the end of the corrupt GPU and now I need to buy and replace the new motherboard, but the only available motherboard is now one with INTEL ATI graphics card not, my question is if I replace the motherboard , does I'll suffer the problem of overheating yet? It is best to replace my motherboard with one that since intel GPU that can reduce global temperature?

Note: my laptop is out of warranty.

The first processors Intel Core of gen running hot, no doubt about that. But however hot it was running on the ATI card that it will run cooler with just the Intel graphics.

  • HP Pavilion DV6-6031eo - black screen (backlight problem)

I ve bought a new laptop Pavilion DV6-6031eo 2 weeks ago, and it worked fine until today.

    The question:

When I turn on the laptop, it starts as usual and the system works perfectly, but the screen is black, so I can´t use it, unless you use another monitor, think I Don t want to. I think it has something to do with the backlight, or perhaps the retroeclairages cable routes.
HP logo at the back of my screen used to light up when I turned on my laptop, but now it s too messed up.

No backlight and no light in the HP logo.

I ve sent an email to HP TotalCare, since I got my warranty (lasts 1 year) and I would like to know if they will cover it.

Hopefully, I will get a response as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

PS: Sorry for my bad English. I m of the Denmark, so it s not my mother tongue.

    Hello

Guaranteed that you have on this model it will cover for you and your English is very good.

  • Where are the Ports USB 3.0 of my HP Pavilion dv6-6158nr Notebook?

I am unable to find the Ports of USB 3.0 on my HP Pavilion dv6-6158nr laptop.

Please tell which side are these ports and how to get the maximum speed out of them?

    Hi Hanazir,

    You'll love this.

Get a bright light and shine on the left side of the laptop.

Now, get a magnifying glass and look carefully next to the USB ports.

3.0 ports are marked with the logo 'SuperSpeed '. "SS".

Similar to this, but very, very small!

To get the maximum speed, use only with devices usb 3.0 - external hard drives, USB sticks, etc done to run with this technology.

There is no harm in using the USB3 ports with usb devices 2.  In most cases, USB 2 devices work as expected when connected to a USB 3 port.  There are rare cases where the USB 2 device may not work when it is attached to a port USB 3.  Before you accuse the laptop / desktop or even the port and if your laptop don't not have a USB 2 port, then consider to plug a USB 3 hub that supports one or more USB 2 ports and try that.  A few specialized 2 USB devices require USB 2 connection - deal with it.

    Dragon tips

USB 3 external drives: offset connection, more or less depending on your hub, your hardware and your player can add up to an unacceptable delay when you use a USB 3 hub in conjunction with port USB 3.  Huh?  Unless absolutely necessary, do not use a USB hub 3 with an external drive USB 3 - connect the USB 3 drive directly to your 3 USB port on the computer.

Other usb devices 3 work well on the SIIG 7port USB 3.0 / 2.0 Hub - this is a very nice quality, IMO and is supported by its own power supply.  Nice.

Have you tried to Uninstall the graphics drivers? If this isn't the case, please uninstall and then restart the computer laptop twice.

Here is another option for you to try:

    • In Device Manager:

    • Select search automatically for updated driver software.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 - black screen on startup, but works using the secondary monitor?

    I use a Pavilion dv6 WV815AV, and I used it for 3 years now.

I tried to start the computer and the fan and lights are lit, but not the monitor.  I tried to plug in my high school, and it's that now treats as if it were the only screen.  I had problems in the past of a few times where I would get past the HP logo, and then there would be a substantial delay where the screen remains black but be illuminated, but most of the time that he would go to the screen connection, and if not, a simple reboot managed to solve the problem.

Thoughts on how should I solve it?

    Thank you!

Hi mybluesock, sorry to hear that you have a problem with the monitor not just not. I did some research and I found a document that can help you. Click on the link for the document.     http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01997899

  • Pavilion dv6-6156ea: display replacement

I need a litte help, earlier my screen woudnt turn on unless I bent the lid of my portable computer at a certain angle. Now, its competely went and even the Hp Logo that lights up in the back corner of the lid woud affected in the same way. So is it possible to replace the Ribbon for the screen of my Hp pavilion dv6-6156ea without replacing the whole screen and if so I'd like to help /suggestions on different parts of the source and replacement

any help will be greatly appreciated

Yes it is possible, but I'm not sure that's the problem. Have you tried an external monitor? Unless it's off to an external monitor the problem is not the ribbon cable to the screen or the screen of the Control Panel, but a motherboard problem.

    Here is the Service Manual:

For use only with models of computer gold butter, espresso black, linen white, blue Pacific, pink Pearlescent, Ruby and Red Red Sonoma finish 640423-001

If yours is gray it is the part that you need to replace the display cable:

For $ 7, it might be interesting to try a new cable but hanging on to an external monitor is free.
