HP Pavilion DV7-6B56NR: Dv7-6b56nr wireless

The WiFi in my laptop ralink chip is dead. I tried to use the atheros from another laptop chip and bios does not allow start. What are my options approved to replace this chip? I don't want to if I don't have the old type. Preferably, I would get something good better (AC wireless, wireless, screen, Bluetooth).

  • Pavilion DV7-1451nr: Wireless button stays amber

My pavilion dv7-1451nr turns wireless keyboard blue when I have to reset the motherboard by removing the battery and press the power button / stop seconds, after which I plug in charger to him while leaving the battery and press the power button / stop. After that, I would like to press f10 to enter the bios setup, then I would like to load the defaults, save and exit.

After doing all that I have explained above, the wireless button becomes blue and wireless assistant would be activated and indicates that the wireless is turned on. If I check in the Device Manager, I see the hardware details and driver wireless populated it and everything should work fine, but once I restart the computer, the wireless button would refuse to start. There is orange. If I try to check the State of the material status and driver WLAN on Device Manager, they would be is more filled it more and wireless assistant will refuse to start. If by chance he started, this would indicate that the wireless is turned off by the Device Manager.

I had tried uninstalling the wireless LAN driver and reinstalled just in case the problem came from the software side but not solution. Just this afternoon, I have decoupled from the computer and removed the card WLAN, dusted it and replace it back, but the problem persists.

The type of wireless network card is Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g WiFi adapter. I noticed something this afternoon, however, after having checked the service manual for the computer, I realized that there is specific types of the wireless card compatible for specific regions. For example, the number of appropriate wlan spare parts which must be on my computer is 582564-002 and have this with references with the number of spare part of wlan on the wireless card available on my computer that begins with sps 452..., I realized something was wrong. I'll leave that to stop you guys from HP, but I really need a solution to this problem very fast because it's really annoying me. Thank you.

    Hello @LL_Cool_J,

    Thanks for the information!

I don't know what you mean, when he asked if the model is 50xx or 40xx. Confirming the WLAN Module is a little difficult, because there are several manuals maintenance for this model.  I was able to refine the selection a bit, by comparing the numbers of spare part for hard drives.  Based on this REPAIR, the WLAN Modules you have listed, 582564-002, 593836-001, must be compatible.  However, I don't see the Atheros as option in this manual.  To be on the safe side, you can contact our telephone support HP.  Please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. • HP Pavilion dv7-1000ea Wireless problems - Urgent

I just do a fresh install of Vista 32 bit on this laptop Pavilion dv7-1000ea.

I have trouble getting the wireless operation.

Device Manager is not recognizing that there is a wireless inside the laptop adapter, even if there is.

The wireless light is orange. I could not do it turn blue.

I installed ALL necessary drivers - nothing is reported in Device Manager does not.

I have updated the BIOS and also tried it revert to an older version to see if that makes a difference or not.

I assured that wifi antennas are properly fixed inside the computer.

I tried to ensure without wire is activated in the Setup (F10), but there is no option for it!

I tried to use HP Wireless Assistant to turn it on, but it won't let me open the utility.

I tried enabling wireless through the Windows Mobility Center Control Panel, but there is no settings for wireless in there.

    Can anyone help?

Sorry everyone, I managed to fix it. I took out the wireless card and put it again and then it was recognized and began to work.

  • Pavilion dv7 - no wireless or bluetooth after power surge?

    Hi all

I'm trying to diagnose a failure on a Pavilion dv7-4130sa running Windows 7.

The WiFi was working fine until yesterday afternoon when I think he cut a power surge or a very brief power. It was not enough to reset clocks or turn off the TV, cable box, etc, but I had to reset the wireless router.

Central heating also stopped working, due to a fuse and the defective pump - but maybe it's just a coincidence.

Now, the wireless in the system tray icon shows a red cross with Windows indicating an error message...

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing.

I know this isn't the router as my phone and netbook both work more wireless. I was thinking of doing a system restore, but I was wondering that if bluetooth and wireless cards are defective, this does not solve the problem.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Hi Emilinator,

More than likely HP won't to material support for Windows 8 on any system purchased before October 1, 2011.  Most of the Windows 7 drivers work in Windows 8.

You can try this pagewhich provides measures to solve the problems of connection to broadband for Windows 8.

Check out this page to see if your computer has been tested by HP with Windows 8.

You can run the Upgrade Wizard, which will scan your PC and report on what is currently installed on your PC is compatible with Windows 8.  This guide was updated for Windows 8 provides lots of information which is needed for all those planning the upgrade.

    Good luck

    Hello

HP supports this list, otherwise, you have to go yourself (as pilot, antenna.. .but I think should be very straightforward, I traded a lot, not machine, even not even card than yours):

    • Atheros AR9280 adapter WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n 2 x 2

Download and install the Broadcom Wireless driver to here (ver 5.60.350.11 for 32/64-bit Win7).

  • Pavilion dv7-6b56nr: HP Pavilion dv7-6b56nr Entertainment Notebook PC processor Upgrade?

I the Pavilion dv7-6b56nr notebook and want to upgrade the processor and the video.  In the research forums, I found this guide Maintenance and maintenance for dv7 series machines: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03043778

    My machine has currently a processor 2.30 GHz AMD A6 - 3400M (1.40 GHz FSB, 4, 0 - MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)

    My question is:

I read the service correctly guide in can I switch to a processor 2.70 GHz AMD A8-3550MX (2.00 GHz FSB, 4, 0 - MB L2 cache, quad core, 45 W)?

Combined, the machine automatically provides the necessary 45W for the new piece as opposed to the 35W uses the current chip?

The motherboard will support the 45w processor, Yes. You may want to also consider a stronger but not absolutely necessary adapter.

  • Pavilion DV7-6195us: reliable wireless connection

It is of a Pavilion DV7-6195us. It connects wireless to a provided Comcast router/gateway. My connection drops randomly, and my solution was to click on the bottom wireless icon to the right of the taskbar, disconnect my network, wait 5 seconds and reconnect. It is successful in 90% of cases.

I looked in Device Manager > network adapters and see: Intel Centrino Wireless n 1000 #2, Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2, Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapt #3 and Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.

This laptop was bought second-hand from a guy who did the free update for Windows 10 without doing all the preparation work. I restarted it in Win 7, 64 bit. The laptop is starting in 2012 and I did the best I could to update the latest drivers, but trying to install the latest WiFi driver gave me the message that says that the driver installed is newer than the one I tried to install. The current version of the driver is 15.11.0.7 as of 1/26/2014(Intel Centrino). I don't know why it is a #2, and I do not know whence the Microsoft Virtual Miniport #2 and #3. Their versions of the drivers are identical and are dated from 2006.

I wonder if they interfere with the Intel N 1000? Should I uninstall them? Is there a driver later for the Centrino N 1000 found somewhere other than to HP support site?

My goal here is to stabilize my connection to my wireless router.

My wife's cell phone is a Dell Inspiron which is located not far from where my laptop is, about the same distance from the router, and she has no problem connecting.

    Thank you.

I've just formatted my laptop and reinstalled Windows 7.

The real problem is that I don't know on which is my laptop wifi adapter. So I tried the 3 drivers I found here:

I also installed the HP connection manager, who said that my wireless device is 'disabled in Device Manager.

I went to the window manager devices, but under "Network adapters" I see only the controller PCI Realtek.

What should I do? I really need my WiFi adapter to work.
