HP Pavilion DV8T-1200: HP Quick Launch buttons going haywire... Anyway... in 2016

There is just a follow-up of all posts of 2010 and 2011, I have still a dv8t-1200 and I scoured the internet for a way to disable completely the keys to quick launch on my dv8t as static or whatever it is driving me crazy, and I will just buy a wireless adapter external if I need to.

I heard someone post briefly how you can disable everything somewhere, but you will lose your connection Wireless too... Do you know how to do this, because with a wifi usb device, I might be able to solve everything.

Thank you

OK, update:

I've unlocked the envelope of keyboard with led bar/quick launch keys and I unplugged the Ribbon on the buttons of the LED cable, and that definitely solved the problem...

New question.  What should I do with the disconnected Ribbon?  Should I type down or anything before the keyboard together?   (edit: for the ribbon cable packing tape works fine)

Thanks for possible solutions, but that was easy to do and the problem will be solved, and I don't like about LED bar features.

On my HP Pavilion DV8T, my quick launch buttons keep it up. My wireless light turns off by itself, and in same time, my treble and bass will fluctuate. When this happens, if I type something in that she left the window, I'm and a treble/bass window appears. Also sometimes, like now, my mute button and my wireless button will not even appear or work. I have tried everything I can think, I have reformatted the hard drive, downloaded the drivers, and I've even sent in HP and they doesn't fix it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • his quick launch button does not work when I installed windows 8 in my computer hp laptop pavilion dv3z

    1. number and product name
    laptop HP pavilion dv3z

2 operating system installed (if applicable)
    Windows 8

    3. All changes to your system until the problem occurred
    installed windows 8

When I installed windows 8 in my pc laptop hp pavilion dv3z, the quick launch of the volume button is always red and the sound is mute... the driver for quick launch buttons and pilot for the sound is also up-to-date... can you help me please?

When installing the audio driver, it installed following the instructions or mode of compatibility as shown here?

Based on the software and drivers page for this device, the device was not tested and certified for Windows 8.  This means that some features may not be the same as the device was not designed for Windows 8.  See this site for more information and to find out if it has been tested for Windows 8.

If the audio driver has not been installed in compatibility mode, I recommend using the 64-bit Windows 7 found here driver and using the related steps above to install in compatibility mode.

    Let me know what happens.

  • Quick Launch buttons

    Hello

I have a Pavilion dv7 - 2230ev running windows 7 complete edition x 64 after a new installation of the operating system. Although I could solve the problem with my buttons to quick launch to upgrade the BIOS of my product page and they are now fully functional, I don't get the volume slider window. I tried some updates of the quick launch buttons but did not work. Is it possible to fix this?

    Hello

If you want to see the Visual display you will need to download and install:

MediaSmart SmartMenu here (version 3.1.2.2 for 32/64-bit Win7)

Until you do that you must have installed at least one application of the MediaSmart software package. The best choice will be in my opinion:

MediaSmart DVD here (version 4.2.5122 for 32/64-bit Win7)

If you do not want to use on top of software just to have the display on-screen en volume then check the app below:

    3VRX here (version 2.5 for 32/64-bit Win7)

    Note:

Here is YouTube video that shows what can be done with the 3VRX software.

This one is for Vista and if that one doesn't work, try this one.

If she says that one of them is already say 'Yes to replace all' reinstall after a restart of course.

In addition, your net work button works, but you're worried that it will begin to do so, correct?

The only problem is now so just with the mute button?

If none of the works above, let's try a more radical solution.

  • HP Quick Launch buttons for Windows 7 to work a bit now, they have stopped working

So I installed windows 7 x 64 on my HP Pavilion DV9700t. I had no problem using the Upgrade Advisor. My current rating is 4.9
Everything is much more vivid and works fine, except the HP Quick Launch buttons.
Initially, they worked so I could control the volume buttons, mute and media. So I don't remember exactly what I did and I installed an update or a specific package of the software HP Quick Launch buttons and they stopped working.

I do not use the system restore and I mixed through several HP software packages including: SP40139, SP44777, SP39425. These seem to install fine and starts the process of quick launch control. However, the buttons do not always work. I even started the HP Quick launch in Windows Vista compatibility mode buttons.

So I was wondering how I can return to pilot initial KB that happened when I installed Windows 7. Which seemed to have done the trick, but I don't know what it was.

HP is too lazy to support my laptop brand, even if it is more than enough to run Windows 7.

    Thank you!

    Hi Covrigus Deus,

I will suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the HP Quick Launch button software and reinstall it back. You can check the latest HP Web site package.
For help with respect to uninstall and reinstall, you can visit the HP website for the instructions.
If, however, the Quick Launch button still doesn't work after you have performed the steps in the abvoe, I will propose you to complete the restore of the system.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. System restore click Start, type in the search box and then click on the system restore listed programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    1. In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
    2. In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    3. Click Finish.

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

      For more information, see:

  • Quick Launch buttons uninstall problem

Installed from Download FTP site HP Quick Launch Buttons produced version HP 6.50.18.1 (sp49456) by mistake (is install the Quick Launch bar). Now impossible to uninstall HP Quick Launch Buttons sp49456 in programs and features in Control Panel. Have tried several times (error:-5005: 0 x 80070002). Also tried several times to reinstall sp49456 more old install and uninstall then from programs and features - even in Safe Mode - but does not work. Finally advised Support HP to do a system restore prior to facility QLB, but my system has no earlier restore points. Is it possible to make some kind of manual uninstall - registry maybe? Please notify.

    System Specs:
    -G4-1319tu Pavilion
    -Windows 7 64 bit
    -error:-5005: 0 x 80070002 (when you try to uninstall)

    Hello

    OK, let's try another method.

First, install the incorrect file buttons to quick launch once more and once completed, restart the laptop.

Download and install the free Revo Uninstaller from the link below.

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/download-freeware-version.php

Revo and see if it recognizes the QLB software. If this is the case, right click on the program icon you want to remove and choose uninstall. This will launch at the beginning of the uninstall routine own applications that will almost certainly fail again - continue anyway.  During the process, that you may be asked to remove the registry entries, simply select all and then click on remove. Do the same for all the remnants of files and folders. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the laptop.

  • HP Envy 15 æ 103NA: HP Quick Launch buttons Drivers + utility to system events

    Hi all

If anyone knows where I can get these drivers?

I said I need both in order to get the keyboard shortcuts to work (brightness, volume) etc.

I have the HP recommended events utility installed... but still nothing works, it would be the HP Quick Launch Buttons driver?

    Kind regards

    Adam

    You're welcome, Adam.

Interesting... maybe I'm wrong on the QuickLaunch software...

I have a G1 350 HP business notebook, which came out in 2013 - 14 (I got mine last year).

I just checked the driver for that page and they stuck the old version of software of quick launch on the support page of my laptop, so maybe that will work...

If it does not either, then see if the new hotkey software works from this professional HP laptop.

I can help you with the indicators of volume and screen brightness...

You can get a slightly different Visual you W10, but that's all that is currently available for W7.

  • Tx1000 and quick launch buttons

    Hello

    I have a Tx1000 (REF RX695AV) on which I did a clean install of Windows 7 ultimate x 64.

The touchscreen works can I open/close and drag the programs with the stylus.  So do the buttons (Play, following precedent and Stop) multimedia.

What does work are the four quick launch buttons (screen rotation, display settings, start the QuickPlay, DVD).  I tried to install Vista 64 (sp38171.exe) for the latter and while I now have a driver listed for the buttons located under the computer management, on the triggers of associated program starting a 'known compatibility issues"of Windows 7.  (If I run it there seems to be problems with Windows Explorer.)

The button that I really want to work is the screen turn.  (The display settings are nice to have).  Can I do to get this key work?

Finally, as an aside during the work of the touch screen, multi touch does not work.  Do I have reason to assume that it is a hardware problem?

    Thank you Tim

I have the same problem on a tx1340ea.

After that I extracted sp38171.exe ran setup.exe in Windows XP (SP2) compatibility mode, and it works very well.

The same QLB software runs on each series of HP laptops.  (Latest Version: 6.50.7.1)

  • Vice versa functional quick launch buttons?

The functional quick launch keys work vice versa. For example: if I need to refresh the page (f5) I have to hold fn and then only, press f5. But if I need to turn off the sound, I simply press f11 (without the fn). is it ok? Can I reverse this some how? And I can't find how to launch the software 'hp quick launch buttons' (don't start menu shortcut or icon in the status bar).

    Drivers are up 2 date.

You can disable this feature by turning off "Action keys Mode" in the BIOS...

  • HP Quick Launch buttons is not compatible with Windows 7

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor has reported that the driver for the HP Quick Launch Buttons 6.40F1 version is not compatible with Windosws 7. Does this mean that I won't be able to use the quick launch buttons. My laptop is a Pavillion dv 2410 us.

I solved the problem by uninstalling the QLB from the Control Panel, then the upgrade with Windows 7 went through without any problems.

The QLB work well with W7
