HP pavilion e025tx 15 is slow

Hi I'm new and I just bought a 15 Pavilion e025tx.
It has 8 GB of ram and i7, but it works amazingly slow...
I guess it is because of Windows 8?
Can I downgrade to windows 7 to make it faster? Windows 8 is completely useless without a touch screen anyway.

You may downgrade to Windows 7 If you are determined enough, but it's no easy task. Take a read through these two sons to get an idea of what is at stake. So if you decide to move forward post back and we'll try to help with drivers.

  • Computer pavilion laptop i7 incredibly slow

Hi, I have a hp pavilion 2321ss g6 with a processor intel core i7. I had for about 2 years. It had not occurred to me to use this forum til now.

Initially, he had run on win8, but he was almost inoperative (very slow) and I have upgraded to windows 10.

As I installed the new computer system was incredibly slow and lazy. Opening a program, for example a browser may take more than a minute, making it unusable. Old computers are faster. I think all the updates on the system are made.

Startup time is 300 seconds, and after that start it does not work well, on the contrary, it takes time to "warm up".

    What can I do?

    Thank you

  • HP Pavilion G6: Wireless connection slow

    Hello

Given that I update to windows 10 my wireless connection is slower.

Test on speedtest.net in my house, dowload speed is at best 1, 5mbps and download 2.5 Mbps (which is strange uploading faster than downloading) and at the same time my other laptop Acer becomes 7, 5mbps download and the same 2.5 Mbit/s in upload. In my house, I have a service of the internet 3G / 4G.

    Hi @miguelsoare,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook g6 and issues with slow wireless speeds. Here is a link for troubleshooting wireless connection, if you need.

If the problem persists, I would change the channel on the router. Routers are able to communicate to your laptop on several different channels. Sometimes, this fixes the speeds.

Some say that it helps to fix this Microsoft Fix it.

Here is a link to help as well.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion 15-p253nu: HP Pavilion 15-p253nu WiFi slow speed

    Hello

I bought this laptop HP Pavilion p253nu 15 last month and after discussion here - finally found drivers for W7x64. everything is OK, but when I download something big, I see that the maximum download speed is around 30mbps with WiFi. I use the router TP-Link TL-WR941ND and my ISP gives me a speed of 100 Mbit/s via an optical connection. Before this laptop, I used an Intel 5100 WiFi chip and it has no problems - maximum download speed was about 90-95 Mbps (used Speedtest.net and real download a torrent). My girlfriend is connected through a router to the same UTP cable and the speed is the same - 90 - 95 Mbps.

The question is: why is the maximum speed of this chip BCM43142 so slow? And is it possible to change it? I think for the replacement with a 802.11ac Broadcom chip...

Okay, I bought Linksys WRT1900AC + 7260AC from Intel, but the problem was not resolved. Finally I found antenna internal for laptop HP, just stuck on the bottom plastic (there are little space), connected to the wifi chip and everything was OK.

So, I think that the manufacturer HP should check this problem, because it is very uncomfortable to have slow wifi speed due to the single internal wifi antenna...

  • Newly purchased HP Pavilion 11 is already slow and laggy when it is used first.

Hello. Recently, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion 11 11-e113AU.

When I started using it, it's very slow. Slow scrolling. Switching Windows is slow. It hangs a little and then continue to work again. I got comments after I posted that I bought this laptop and they said that the laptop is shit and it was a very bad performance. Is this true? I'm really getting worried because I'm starting to believe it works really SLOW.

Even when you do simple tasks like scroll or transition from window to window, minimize the window and opening a folder, searching for words is slow and laggy. Especially when using Facebook in google chrome. Scrolling is laggy, lag very

What seems to be the problem? It is brand new. I think that we lost a lot of money on this laptop. Help, please. What can I do to make it faster? I'm really disappointed that I bought it. I'm from the Philippines. Help, please

    Hi again.

    Thanks for the details

    1. Yes, I think that this McAfee product not suitable for the configuration of your computer. It can slow down your computer.

McAfee may be able to detect the virus/malware but is know that it is not the fast/more lighter AV.

I suggest you completely uninstall and restart your computer.

Finally, run the McAfee removal tool

    Instructions-> http://service.mcafee.com/faqdocument.aspx?id=TS101331

    2. I am not aware of the details of your computer, but in order to change the processor, you will also need to change the motherboard which is not a small change. If it can be changed, my colleagues in the support will be able to respond better.

However, I don't think that this change is necessary at this time. You/we have not crossed all possible options.

Let me stress again that these type of mobile computers are expected to generally not to be used for heavy load such as graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop example / AutoCAD) or Machiavellian heavy. They are smaller and lighter than the typical laptio, only 11 inches and mobility is their biggest advantage.

    3. at this time you need not to add 4 GB of additional memory. According to the data provided, you are currently using 1.79 GB of your physical RAM (less than 50%). If you add additional RAM at the present time, this change anything re. performance

    4. has reviewed your supplied log file.

S ' Please, uninstall McAfee. Reset. Once that just activate Windows Defender (built into Windows)

    Hi guys

My laptop Pavilion dv6 HP with Windows 7 home premium o/s started running really slow sometimes. I run C Cleaner regularly and drive C is only half full. What happens is that when I type if I pause for a second or two and then re - start typing the cursor stops moving and then he jumps in life and all the typing is displayed. Then it wokrs OK for awhile until I stop again, and then he may or may not have the delay. It's really frustrating because you don't know what he's doing or when he's going to do. I do a lot of photo editing and the same thing is happening and is frustrating evenmore. Can someone suggest what I can do to fix the problem

    Thank you

    Hi David

I had the assistance of a computer store. Not only the computer that is running pecularly but I got a message that the wireless network could not be found. It turns out that the problems were related and that there are bad sectors of hard disk which meant wireless has stopped working. I now have a new hard drive and all problems are gone. They have DVRs, been able to clone the old drive hard so that all my files are always available to me. Anyway thanks for your suggestions. I think that you know the problem was with the hard drive and you were right.

  • HP Support Assistant missing and Notebook Pavilion g6 turning very slow

I have a Pavilion laptop g6 AX 1209 running on a Windows 7 Home basic 64 - bit OS. I uninstalled wrong "HP Setup" software through a third-party software called "Revo Uninstaller". Now I find my HP product Assistant in my missing task bar. My OS has become too slow as a result. Help, please.

If you are using the pro version of revo uninstaller, their Web FAQ site says there is a way to undo the uninstalation. http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_frequently_asked_questions.html

If it is not... Well, you have learned your lesson. System Restore is one of the most important features of Windows7 and I will disable it not.

If you have backed up your system and files with a mirror image you can use it to restore. I'm not a geek, but if I were in your position, my last resort is to save my files on removable media and do another reinstall with my recovery disk to restore my laptop to factory settings.

  • Pavilion 15 - ab219tx: Internet slows down after connecting the mobile to WiFi.

Previously, I had a problem where internet connection slowed down painfully when cell phone charges. I tried to reset the power settings. Now I can connect to the laptop... However, now the problem is that if connect you to WiFi via the laptop, regardless of if its loading or not, the internet becomes ridiculously slow. And if the wifi is turned off, it returns to normal. Help, please.

    . Hi @ARD09,

Thanks for your reply. I review the post. I understand that drivers are a bit old. I first want to eliminate hardware issues with the computer's wireless card by performing all the steps which are associated software.

  • Pavilion g6-2260sh but slow download speed download is very good

    Greetings!

I have a HP Pavilion g6-2260sh laptop with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system.

My problem is that the internet download speed fell from 80 Mbps at 3-4 Mbps. Download speed remained the same as before, the 25 Mbits. My laptop is connected to a router with another laptop and a PC. These 2 computers have excellent internet speeds.

I reinstalled the operating system, but the problem persists. After reinstalling, the speed was very good, maybe an hour and then she fell to 3-4. I only installed the drivers from hp, nothing else driver finder.

I tried connecting by cable and wireless with the same results.

The Device Manager shows 1 unknown device and 1 missing driver for Ralink_RT3290_Bluetooth_01

    Please help me,

  • Pavilion TouchSmart 14z-f000: slow startup and performance

My laptop takes forever to start and load windows completely.  Once Windows is fully loaded, it tends to freeze.  I have a lot of space on the hard drive.  I use it only for business applications, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite and the law! contact management.  I have absolutely no game.  I have a lot of music so. No idea where to start?

I've upgraded to 10 Windows in Windows 8, but it was a few months ago.  I imagine that if it were the root of the problem, the problems would have started earlier.

FYI, in the amount of time it took me to connect and post this question, my laptop finally got to the password entry.

It seems to be fixed now.  I uninstalled AMD and Raptr.  Not sure how they have had on the computer, but it have been downloaded around the same time, the problems started.  It is normal running now.  I will try your recommendation, if symptoms recur.  Thanks for your help.

  • Pavilion dv6-2010sa Notebook: RAM upgrade

My HP Pavilion dv6 is really slow (especially when you use the internet with more than a couple of tabs open. I did a full audit of viruses, spyware, etc. - all clean. However, when I checked the system I have only 3 GB of RAM (2.75 usable).

Increase the RAM would make a significant difference and if so what is the maximum I should buy (which would be effective)? It would also be very helpful if you can give advice if I should run extra RAM with what I already have or if I have to replace it. Finally, if you could tell me the name of the RAM should I buy and where can I buy it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ben

It will run up to 8 GB of RAM. This is the laptop DDR2-800 memory. This video shows the replacement of hard disk and memory so just pay attention to memory:

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=koynICXjbzI

DDR2 is very expensive. Here's the manual for your dv6:

    Manual

Here is the Kingston showing page guaranteed compatible RAM:

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/Pavilion-DV6-2010sa

As you can see, 8 GB is well over $200. Personally, because I'm cheap, I would buy a single module of 2 gig and increase the total RAM of 4 GB or, to be sure it works with maximum efficiency, buy a 4 GB kit if you have 2 identical bars. A 4 GB kit is 'only' $ 56, and it is a reasonable investment. 4 concerts will be significantly better than 3. You might also think of a reinstallation of the operating system. Computers a naturally slow down with age that the registry fills up with junk. There are a few settings, you can clean up the start menu and other things less an OS reinstall.
