HP pavilion fan

Hello

I have a HP pavilion slimline running Windows 7.

It is 2 years old.

Last week, he showed "system fan does not" (except that I'm in France so he said: "the repressive fan is defective")

I have removed the Panel, cleaned, although it wasn't very dirty and I saw that all fans have worked.

Everything ok for 4 days - no message - now it is restarted. I don't know if the fan is stopped or never done. There is a normal sound, not overheating.

Is this a message "real"?

Since your initial post was too vague, lacks the model # the slimline, I had to choose a model as reference.

The fan of the system in this example is quite large (350mm) see here for the basic manual and here for the fan.

The message arrives if (1) the fan on the motherboard plug is loose or rpm (2) the fan slowed down to the point where it has triggered the alarm.

  • Pavilion fan questions after replacing fans.

I have a 4 years, HP Pavilion Elite m9500y equipped of Windows Vista. I had received messages from 'system fan failure' on startup from time to time and had heard loud grinding noises still occasionally. I changed the power supply and a video card, and none has solved the problem. Lately, computer work really slowly and the CPU temperature was more than 100 degrees Celsius only at startup.

I replaced the cpu fan and case fan today and have encountered a new problem - when I hit the power button, the computer starts up, I see both fans run for about 10 seconds, and then they stop. The CPU fan first, then the case fan. Then, I get an error message saying the CPU fan has failed and the computer turns off. It is possible that I installed the fans back. Does anyone know the correct orientation or have pictures? Anything else may have caused the problems?

    skidlz,

54sec at 01:17 minutes this video shows the CPU fan and the orientation of the blade. In regards to the rear case fan, fan shroud has an arrow showing the flow. The fan is a fan, so he blows on the back.

My new laptop 15-ab157nr of HP Pavilion fan has a moan that I don't remember having on my old laptop HP G62-340US.  It may be that I am just sensitive to noise on a new computer, but I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

The BIOS update was scary to see, but it went well.  Its cooling fan may have changed a bit, and then maybe I'm getting used to the sound.  Thanks for your help!

  • HP Pavilion g6-2240sh replacing the fan

IN BRIEF: Broken fan. A lot of noise. Hard to find part. Not made in the United Kingdom (where I live). Found supposed HP part dealer (http://uk.eetgroup.com/i/680551-001-HP-HS-FAN), do not know if its exactly the part I need. Confirm?

If the fan on my laptop has started to make a lot of noise, to the point that even the laptop significantly sometimes vibrates. I am 100%, this is a problem of fan because I get messages that fan sometimes does not start on boot-up the top if I receive a message from the bios (click on the laptop around the exhaust Wizz it and thus he begins his work, for now). Its summer so to get a little more frequent recently. I just had this problem for a few days, closing of a week at the time of this announcement.

I'm looking to get a spare part for the fan and replace it myself. I've never opened a laptop before, but I have a PC, a couple of times (sort of, dismantled my PC at home, updated several times, fixed things, replaced, etc. etc.). I found the service manual for my exact model and I am in contact with the person I got the laptop.

I googled 'g6-2240sh of HP Pavilion fan' but has a lot of sites offering "HP pavilion g6-2240sh replacement fan" with no exact fan model, which is what I expected or you are looking for. So can someone tell me what it is? I was not able to find it and I don't know where is the best place to go (to the United Kingdom, I'm at Sunderland, so better order online I presume).

    P. S.

Now, first of all, I can guarantee. 1 year international. I got in touch with HP about this, on the line to support UK. Due to my situation (student), I am quite dependent on my laptop. Unfortunately, I bought the laptop at home in Bulgaria. Then they told me that I had to their message and I more likely, logically, would have to send again, they could send somewhere else and who knows how long this may take. I know that HP has some policies on how long it may take, but my country is also, and those specific for electronics so... I found myself asked the guarantee out of the question.
(Note: I don't know about auto repair Kits customer or whatever they were called, but after contacting the Bulgarian support line, waiting more than 10 minutes and spend a fortune on the call I left it).

If at the end because of the time (and also a little financial forces is not able to communicate properly support at home (maybe I have to wait like an hour, but who live)) I resigned to fix myself.

If all of the information that I could use?
Something I am missing to tell?
Is something not clear (his end at this time of writing, so sorry for the mistakes or difficult to understand parts)?

Just mainly, I don't know which exact to get fan and hence, do not know what to look for on ebay/amazon/whatever.

    Hi, Rick:

It seems that the g7-1300 series manual would apply also to the yours... same hardware specification...

There is no manual related to the support page for your laptop, and the g7-1139 is for older hardware (1st generation core processors).

  • Pavilion 500-160ev: CPU fan control

Hello.im trying to figure out how to increase the number of turns of my cpu (pwm) fan in my Desktop hp Pavilion 500-160ev. I tried to do it in the BIOS, but there is no such option. Also I updated my BIOS but I can't find anywhere where to change the fan speed, the option is obviously locked. Third-party program does not work as SpeedFan.I have almost tried everything. Any ideas?

    40 c seems quite acceptable.

The Noctua NH - D9L has a maximum speed of 2000 rpm, minimum speed of 400 rpm

If it is open to only 800 RPM it shows me that your system runs pretty cool.

You can install the free programReal Temp, it will show your CPU current temp as well as distance max temp and "the thermal State.

You can run a CPU Stress Test program to test your fan. As the program your CPU at 100%, you should see the ramp speed of the fan to the top.

  • Pavilion Elite PHE 450 t PC: intermittent Desktop closed, noise from the video card fan.

My office has developed a problem in which she stops 10-15 minutes after a cold start.

I have a Pavilion Elite HPE 450 t running Windows 7 64.  I tried dusting and open the box, but it keeps happenings.

In addition, my video card, an NVIDIA GeForce315 G 1 fan makes noise.

    I have 2 questions:

1 ¿is this fan an item repairable, or I have to replace all?

Can 2 how I check the power supply to see if it is not part of the problem?

Is there there tensions I can measure to see if its OK?

My query related to food, is that I run a couple of terabyte drives out of the office, and I wonder if I'm loading down the power.

I would appreciate comments, suggestions, etc.  Thanks in advance.  Thank you folk being here to help that old man.

    Leon R.

    Greetings,

It seems to be a possible thermal problem with the graphics card fan.

The fan on the graphics card work? Remove the side panel to check. Yes, you can remove the side panel while the system is turned on.

Do not touch internal components. Just inspect.

The Geforce 315 is a riser. I've never replaced graphics card fans, but I guess it's possible.

A power failure is always a possibility.

Eliminate food, the more reliable is to temporarily connect a good diet known to the system.

The system was stable before the thermal emission of fan noise and possible? That should remove a power supply problem.

You can replace the graphics card. Your PC has many options that were available for purchase.

Please see here. Select "Options of material", then scroll down to 'Graphics '.

    See you soon!

  • HP Pavilion 180 t - size case by default/Original fan

    Hello.

I would like to know the size of the rear case fan in my HP Pavilion 180 t, which I haven't changed at all since it was purchased about 5 years ago.

I measured the size of it as being ~ 120mm diagonal and ~ 90mm of diameter approximately, but don't know exactly what is the correct measure to use and what size it is. I can't access now to measure a few weeks but would like to know the size as soon as possible in order to consider replacing it.

This size fan came as a default value on the inside?
This fan is connected by 3 or 4 pins?
The modular fan, i.e. is the attached cable permantently in the fan, or is it like a Sharkoon Silent Eagle where the fan has no permanent cable and you can easily join the existing cables in him.

    Thank you

How can I find my model number or product number?

I understand that since you had the laptop he had an overheating problem with a loud fan noise that causes freeze it.

Recently, you have received the message that the CPU fan has stopped working and you couldn't hear the rotation of the fan to the top.

You have removed the fan and checked, but the fan works.  It is possible that the connection was not safe in Notepad.

Have you checked for an update of the bios of your laptop. You have provided the series of laptop you have, but not the exact model, so I'm not able to check it for you.

  • My HP Pavilion g6 fan does not work.

I bought a HP Pavilion g6 2230tx a few months back and its cooling fan has stopped working.
It was working fine, but the problem started when I played Euro Truck Simulator 2 full settings. The cooling fan has been throwing a large amount of heat and the fan was moving quickly, but I continued to play. Later that day, when I turned on my laptop, it showed an error which was: "the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work correctly and continued operation can cause damage.
    Fan system (90 b)'.
Then I turns off after 15 seconds.
My laptop is under warranty until 2016-06-16 [YYYY-MM-DD] and the Security category is "guarantee of the factory." {Deleted personal information} & product number is C9L64PA #ACJ. Now my question is that how much HP will take to repair or replace my laptop fan. Will it be free? ;-)
    And I live in India.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Hüffer
I tried what you say except clean it with compressed air and a paperclip. I'm going to send my laptop for repair and now I hope they'll work again.
