HP pavilion g4 series laptop PC - can I switch the processor and graphics card?

I was wondering because I saw a lot of laptop users replacing or upgrading their laptop processor and video/graphics card, is it possible for me to upgrade mine? in fact, I would like to upgrade mine especially that my processor with a capacity of 2.5 ghz i5 and I really wanted to upgrade to a larger capacity if there is no compatible. Thanks in advance for any answers.

The installed graphics card is the best available option Optional graphics package.  To the best of my knowledge HP has not supported better than what you have.

And I really want to be able to play at HQ

So my question is: can I put a new processor and video card

In my acer aspire witouth problems?

Doesn't look like as you can change the processor. Limits to the motherboard. But there is no onboard video. If you get a low profile graphics card and added it to the computer, it could work. But because the computer is an older computer, you will not be able to put in the last and best. I would like to talk to a local technician to see what is available in your area for this computer.

  • Can I upgrade the processor or graphics card to my G42-371br?

I've already updated the memory, but I think it's quite different

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02627955.PDF

Can be found in Chapter 1, s page 2 & 3 support AMD processors.

The only way to update the video is to replace the motherboard with a GPU better.

Looking at the specifications of your laptop, it seems that you already have the best graphics solution available for this model.

There is a Board with the video of 6370 and 1 GB of memory (512 MB has yours), but who would certainly be worth hundreds of dollars that it would cost to replace the Board of Directors.

    (a) for CPU: you need to replace the motherboard too and it is a very expensive upgrade. Please read the manual on the link third next (page 84):

  • Tecra R850 - How can I reduce the memory shared graphics card?

    Hi all

I need help with a few questions:
My system says I have 2, 66 GB RAM available for applications, services, etc. The rest (between 1.1 and 1.3 GB of RAM) is shared and reserved for the graphics card. I looked for a way to reduce it through the BIOS (how it works normally), tried an update for the bios jumps that he would add this feature. But it wasn't the case.

I don't understand why Toshiba won't allow its customers to modifity this setting!
I can understand putting such a context by default, but also giving an option for advanced users to change this setting.

2, 66 GB RAM are not very good and I often need more than that... 500 MB more of RAM for sys would be really nice.
And 64 bit OSs don't are currently not supported in our society.

Does anyone know if a way to reduce the memory shared to 500 MB for example?

    My system features:

    Windows 7 Pro SP1 (32-bit)
    Model: TECRA R850
    SERIALNO. : 7B042670H
    PartNo. : PT525E-03E00KGR

Thank you in advanced for your answers!

    null

As far as I know shared memory works automatically and laptop user cannot control it.
There is nothing new and the same principle is on all Toshiba laptops.

Sorry but there is nothing to do about it.

  • I can't install the driver of graphics card on my Equium L20

I recently changed my standard Home Edition comes with my computer windows laptop equium L20 to a Professional Edition that I bought from a third party.

Where did you download the graphics driver?

You must use the drivers published on the page of the Toshiba driver!
Don t use any form site manufacturer s graphics card drivers! These drivers are not compatible and you will not be able to install on the Toshiba laptop.

Please also follow the installation guide lines which are published on the Toshiba driver page in the document "installation instructions"!

  • Can I switch the processor of my Acer Aspire AX1200-U1640A?

I have an Acer Aspire AX1200-U1640A and I can't decide whether to upgrade the Ram, CPU and hard drive or buy a new computer. It works well it is just slow for what I need to do now.

Is it possible to upgrade the processor of 2.4 to 3.0 Mhz or faster? If so, how do I know my compatible options?

    Thank you

    Tom

For visible speed, I found that the upgrade of the RAM was the best option, although I would strongly recommend a new PC. This CPU and other hardware are up to five years, and a lot of newer, faster, more flexible technology came out since then.  When upgrading, I also recommend Intel, because they tend to have more benchmarks and compatibility.

  • DVD RW drive has an error code of registry 19. I can't use the drive and it is not visible as a drive.

My lite - on dvdrw lh-20a1l ata device does not work.  Device Manager appears with the following text:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Click on 'Search for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.

I tried looking for solutions, uninstall driver and reboot, reinstall the software provided with the machine, running regecure software to clean the registry and nothing has solved the problem so far - you have ideas?

19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same
    resources.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then check the cables
both ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean the
power and data of the contacts with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the system manufacturer
and the manufacturer of the device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD &)
Burn DVDs and CDs and read DVDs). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational parts while
    others do it properly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

Assuming that your computer is 2006 or later, following the links eventually will lead you to the following directions:

Reformatting a hard drive should be considered a last resort to solve a problem with a computer system. The hard drive can be reformatted and reinstalled the operating system, using the system PC Suite hard disk recovery. Reformatting the hard drive will overwrite all data on the disk. To preserve the data, back up the data of the user as; letters, leaves of calculation, graphics and emails to an external storage device before you reformat the disk. If the PC does not work in the Windows operating system, see reformatting since the recovery disks .
Do the following to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
    1. Connect the PC to the power adapter.
    2. Close all programs.
    3. Click Start , click principally made programs , select System Restore and click on the PC recovery .
    4. When the recovery options are offered, select the option to perform the Recovery of PC and click Next .
    5. The PC will restart.
    6. When the recovery of the PC of welcome message, click OK to continue.
    7. In the system recovery Panel, select System Recovery . By default, the system will perform a complete reformat and will destroy all user data.
    8. Restart the PC when prompted.
As alternative method for the steps above, click Advanced Options , select the destructive recovery option and click Next to begin the reformatting process.
The PC is in original factory State and all data in the system, such as the place and the date must be reconfigured.

NOTE: any software "trial offer" has been included in the original factory image, it will be reinstalled, but it won't work (the test period will have expired).  If so any trial software is a security antivirus software or others, before connect you to the Internet, you must uninstall (using an uninstall tool provided by the manufacturer if available antivirus software) and then install your own anti-virus software.  So, you should download the uninstallers necessary and installers (or buy the software on CD) using another machine before starting this project.
