HP Pavilion g6-1030tx mobile: 54820996

Hello

There is a BIOS password on my laptop HP Pavilion g6-1030tx model: LR718PA

When I try and get into the BIOS to change the settings, after 3 attempts, I get the 54820996 error code and the system is then disabled?

Someone knows how to unpassword BIOS without disassembling the laptop?

Thanks in advance.

    G ' Day everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade my processor for laptop HP Pavilion G6-1030TX and graphics, but I don't know if it's possible?

In the 'HP Pavilion G series maintenance book' clearly sets out a list of graphics chipsets and processors, I'm looking at upgrading my processor processor Intel Core i3 - 380 M (2.53 GHz, 3 MB L3), double 35 W to the processor Intel Core i7 - 2620M (2.7 GHz, turbo up to 3.40 GHz, 4 MB L3 SC) double 35 W is possible?

I am wanting to also upgrade the chipset graphic crappy AMD to something like a nvidia with several graphics around 2 GB of memory or more the current model graphic chipset I have is the Radeon HD 6470 M "according to me, it has 1 GB ram graphics" dunno really, but if I can improve my graphics chipset to 2GBs or more with a graphics chipset from nvidia that would go all my games a lot better

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Phil:

    Specifications

The top of the page compatible processor is the processor Intel Core i5-480 M (2.66 GHz, turbo up to 2.93 GHz, 3 MB L3 SC), double 35 W for your card system & chipset. Upgarding the top 2nd generation processor - to get a new Board of Directors, such as listed in the Manual: maybe it's not wise to make the fool. You can buy a new laptop with the best care.

The 1 GB dedicated AMD graphics is the best your model series can have.

  • Pavilion dv7t-3000 mobile: stuck on the startup screen, must repeatedly perform a hard reset to fix

When starting after a successful boot & use, the PC is stuck on the startup screen that is black with the logo blue & white HP in the middle and "press ESC for the start menu" at the bottom left. I have to perform a hard reset to get a normal startup. Everything works fine. I stop the PC from the start menu. At the next startup the PC hangs at the HP splash screen. A hard reset solves the problem, but the problem occurred on & repeatedly.

Problem was solved by uninstalling a number of HP programs! Unfortunately I have lost the paper on which I wrote exactly what programs I uninstalled. If you find this issue that may arise on your notrbook, try to uninstall the HP programs

  • Touchpad problems with Windows Vista, HP Pavilion dv7

For some time now, I had problems using the touchpad on my HP Pavilion dv7-1260 mobile.  When I press the left button of the mouse, I have the menu that is displayed when you press the right button of the mouse.  I changed the settings on a million times and I reinstalled the drivers, but nothing seems to work.  Maybe I need to change touchpad sensitivy or something, but I don't know how to do it on Windows Vista.

    Hello

Looks like there is a problem with the hardware with the TouchPad so check with the help of HP, their online
documentation and drivers and ask questions in the forums about isseu known with this model.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

As suggested in previous assignments, it could be a HARD drive malfunction. If you re not able to start the operating system in safe mode, so I would recommend get the laptop again.
The simple way is to use the Toshiba Recovery CD

I have an old HP Pavilion G6-1d98dx I got like a hand running Win 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1 and cannot get the wireless working.  The orange/amber light on the F12 key is on and cannot be disabled.  The Wi - Fi equipment is Ralink 5390 rev3.  The device does not appear in the device as one 'hidden' or 'other' Device Manager, much less as a network device.  I downloaded several different drivers on the HP site for this unit, including a dated January 2016, without success.  Any suggestions?

  • ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 in a Pavilion

    Hello everyone.

I would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction with this one because I have received contradictory information. I have a HP Pavilion DV5 Notebook with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 (also receive some conficting of information as to whether it is a 64, 128 or 256 MB card).

I would like to know if the graphics card is indeed soldered on the card mother or not.

If is possible to update, can anyone suggest a compatible 512 MB or 1024 MB within the family ATI or AMD graphics card as they are called now?

    Thank you.

    Hi again,

Well looking at the specifications for notebook you, he is not in detail the amount of memory dedicated.  However, if you open windows control panel, open "Information on the performance and tools", then click on the link "View and print detailed performance and System Information" this should display the dedicated and shared memory of the graphics adapter.

If you have any other questions, please after return.

    All the best,

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion dv6-6192sl Entertainment Notebook computer. Based on the specifications, this model supports "HP Switchable Graphics". Intel driver was will refuse to install it because of the customization of HP. The provided HP driver Intel you have downloaded and tried to install is for the models that have no switchable graphics. The graphics driver AMD high definition (HD) is the pilot of the only viable solution because it contains the AMD and Intel drivers needed for your computer.

An option that is very popular with people who want more drivers, is the third-party provider http://leshcatlabs.net/.  -I recommend read you and well understand why driver signature enforcement must be disabled to load these drivers and what risks it may pose.
