Touchpad problems with Windows Vista, HP Pavilion dv7
For some time now, I had problems using the touchpad on my HP Pavilion dv7-1260 mobile. When I press the left button of the mouse, I have the menu that is displayed when you press the right button of the mouse. I changed the settings on a million times and I reinstalled the drivers, but nothing seems to work. Maybe I need to change touchpad sensitivy or something, but I don't know how to do it on Windows Vista.
Hello
Looks like there is a problem with the hardware with the TouchPad so check with the help of HP, their online
documentation and drivers and ask questions in the forums about isseu known with this model.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.
==========================================
If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)
Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.
Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET
This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.
The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575
Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.
Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.
I hope this helps.

Activation problem with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition
Recently, I had a problem with my office that was running Windows Xp Pro. After having tried to reformat the computer with my installation disc, something was holding me back upwards. Thus, recently bought a laptop with Windows vista on it I used the disc that comes with it. Note: I ordered this laptop for Windows 7, vista is no longer running on this laptop. Everything installed very well on my office with the exception of one problem it won't let me activate windows. Now, it's my copy of windows vista that I paid for. It runs on a single computer in my office. I have validated my software on my desktop and it's been validated. Now why not activate Windows Vista?
If Vista is preinstalled on your laptop, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.
The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptopIf a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.A single license is a single Installation.
See you soon.

Satellite A200-1d(a): various problems with Windows Vista Mail
Model: Satellite A200-1d(a)
O/s: Windows Vista editions Home Premium more
Background: Recommended for a parent, now transformed into 'support harassment ".The behavior of Windows Mail is displayed is non-standard and unreliable, for example:
Creating new folders local they are initially displayed in the list of folders (left sidebar), if the mail is restarted they disappear and reappear only if they are selected after clicking on "local folders". Other than the Inbox, local folders and the Microsoft? (used for notes, etc.), all the other default folders are missing, either sent, sent, drafts box, etc.
Another minor issue is that windows mail does not seem to recognize when the status of the internet connection changes from unavailable to available, in order to empty the Outbox and send emails, it is necessary to restart windows Messaging.
A number of occasions, all messages disappear from your Inbox and all other folders are not available, the only solution to this problem seems to be a reboot of the laptop.
This link seems to suggest that there is a problem with the security software which is now Norton Internet Security (configured and bundled with the laptop):
http://forums.techguy.org/all-other-software/551829-Windows-Mail-doesn ' t-display - messages.htmlI tried to disable email inbound/outbound scanning in Norton, but it made no difference.
Next step is to apply:http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7701X30005R01.htm
and then remove Norton Internet security
Any ideas?
Other than the foregoing the laptop is fine, looks like a problem of s/w for me.concerning

I can't provide an exactly the solution to this problem of Vista Mail but to me, it looks like a Microsoft Vista operating system problem and not Toshiba Satellite.
I don t think there could be a problem with the hardware that's why we should look for solutions. Now you will ask where a software solution? In my opinion, you should check the knowledge base Microsoft for some useful tips.

Touchpad problems with windows Thinkpad Yoga 12-10
So I had this 12 Yoga for about 3 moths now. Last month, after that I installed a new update of windows, the touchpad and the trackpoint would not work, as it has been disabled. I tried to uninstall the driver and then reinstall - did not work. I even reset the computer. STILL DOES NOT WORK. So I ran the Verifier who told me that one of the Lenovo products had problems with it - I know more what one - so I uninstalled. Still did not work.
After all that, I tried again to uninstall the synaptics drive. When I uninstalled it... He was always there! I don't know how, but he was always there and now the touchpad and trackpoint two works. Well, sporadically. It will work for a few minutes, then will not work for a few minutes (or more). Then. It is where I am now (actually, right now, I'm writing this, the trackpoint is oop nvm. work it stopped working).
Any thoughts on how to solve this problem? Thank you!
Also, when the touchpad & trackpoint, windows buttons are more condensed, so that when it does not, the buttons are more spread out (see links below).
PS also, computer person seriously dragging when you press the CapsLock key? So, which turns off the keyboard for a solid 7 seconds?

Currently, I rebuilt an old laptop. I used a copy of windows, I confess, vista ultimate x 64. I installed this on the hard drive, then I partitioned to install a copy of Linux Mint13. Currently, I can load either the operating systems without problem. My problem is that on my Windows operating system, I have no network to connect to the internet in windows device is. I have a drive with windows on it, but I used to repair a unit. Now, when I use linux, which I do now, I can get online very well, because he knows that I got on the computer to use hardware wise. Why Windows Vista doesn't know I have wireless, etc. but Linux don't? Thank you in advance for any help.
Your computer must also be 64-bit, it may not work on 32-bit computers.Try to download and install the latest driver wireless on the support site of the manufacturer of the computer specific to your computer model.

Problems with Windows Vista update error code I get is Code: 80096001
Hi gang,.
I need help I can get at this point. I am currently working on a machine to a customer who had the rootkit zero.access top. The machine works like a champ, now that it is all clean; but for some reason any Windows Vista refuses to update. Let me mention the operating system before proceeding. The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. When I try to run Windows Update, the machine has a total of seven updates to install; This is especially important and option. In the important section, the machine is trying to install a security update and that is 9. In the optional section, the machine is trying to install the driver as updates: video, network, etc. The PC is already running Service Pack2. The error code I get is: 80096001. I tried every fix that Microsoft recommends, even the Microsoft Fix It tool. Nothing seems to work. I had a simular problem before in Windows XP. If my memory is good, I had to go to the entry in the registry of Windows Update and apply a DWORD here, or something; I don't remember exactly what I did. I can tell you that I checked the registry and there is literally no key to change in Windows Update. Any help or advice would be great, this question is about to drive me crazy.
Thank you

Problem of Windows 7 HP Pavilion dv7 - 2173cl
I have recently upgraded to windows vista home premium to windows 7 Home premium via my disks to upgrade to windows 7 HP last night. Overall I have no complaints, but especially my computers portable keyboard is a bunch of sensitive contact with movie controls, volume control, etc.. The problem lies in the volume sensitive touch power button. My volume turned on and working, but the light power volume is red, indicating that the volume is disabled when even my volumes and fully functional... any help to solve this inconvenience would be greatly appreciated.
Try to uninstall the previously installed one and then try to install this:

Also, try to uninstall the drivers from the sound card in Device Manager and reboot the device.
