HP Pavilion G6: HP Pavilion G6 - limited connectivity wifi problem

Hello

I wanted to clear some questions on my HP Pavilion laptop

I searched online and most of the things have not worked for me, I realized that my wifi goes generally to limited connectivity when either, I take my laptop on my lap and the place on my bed (maybe its because fans are unable to expel hot air because they are blocked?) and when I put my charger.

To temporarily fix this I go to the "network and sharing Center" and disabling and re-enabling my wifi, but sometimes, I noticed that I turn off and when I try to turn it back on, it remains as disabled so...

I hope someone from the support team can help me, thanks.

  • Pavilion: with 10 windows wifi problems

Since the upgrade of windows 8.1 for windows 10 I get incompatible wifi connection.  I am only able to post this message because I am sitting practically on the router.  my partner who has an Asus tablet with windows 8.1 has no problem and can be as much as 10 meters, in different rooms.

If I move away from the router, then it will drop the Internet.

I am inclined to believe that this is a problem specific to HP and lack of updated drivers for windows 10 which are not yet available. Is that correct and if so when they become available?

    Hello

These drivers I gave you a link at the beginning are the last for today. If you install these days the other Mediatek pilot that could be demoted.

I have another laptop, but with the same drivers that I suggested to you and it works.

    RALink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter

    5.0.57.0 driver version

Version of the Intel chipset driver

    10.1.1.11

Check in the Device Manager, what version you have.

Also check the version of the BIOS if the latter or if you need the BIOS upgrade.

    Good luck!

  • Connectivity WiFi problem

    Hello

My features detailed on this machine are:

    Hi George,.

There is a good chance it's actually a connection in Greece that is causing the problem. For example, if you were in a hotel with only one router or router to elderly with multiple people who use the internet, it will cause the internet is very slow. Next time you travel in Greece trying to access the internet at the airport. Airports generally have a better router and the wireless infrastructure in place, and you see how you internet high speed is there.

  • Pavilion 17 t: WiFi limited connectivity issues (Intel AC 3165)

I recently bought a Pavilion 17 t at Costco. Overall, I love the computer. But he has a major problem, which is unacceptable for a laptop. The wifi keeps does not. I have not found a model of either.

I will be connected to my wireless network, and then all at once the internet will stop working. Still, it shows connected to the router, but cannot access the internet. I contacted HP support twice about this now, and their solution did not solve the problem. The BIOS has been updated, the driver has been updated, Windows 10 has been updated, the wireless driver has been uninstalled and reinstalled. I still have the problem. If I try a reboot when this happens, reboot is very, very long time. I have it clocked 2 minutes before I did a restart button Manual power on it. But the problem of restarting seems to occur whenever the wifi problem happens (assuming I do a restart). I tried to turn the wifi market, and that is difficult. He often turns back on as soon as I turn it off, or does not at all meet my attempts.

If I connect a wired connection to the laptop, I am able to connect to the internet again. All other devices on the wireless router will still function properly when this computer does not work.

What would be my next steps to try to solve this problem? More information if you would like me?

    HP Pavilion 17-g133-cl

(Edit: Add product and OS info, correct a few grammatical errors.) Add the step 'Click 'OK' ').

Well, I was all over the internet trying to solve this problem I had the same experience. I found a solution and I signed up just to post on these forums. This problem has been a nightmare and I wanted to share.

My machine is HP Pavilion 17 G1337-CL, which has the ac3165 Intel (r) Dual Band Wireless. (I did a hardware change by exchanging on the HARD for one SSD drive)

The problem I had was produced by the Windows power management system. When I went to a few minutes, without access to the internet it would be close. I could open a browser window, but if I was not actively sends or receives data, the connection would be closed.

It's the solution of two parts (10 Windows):

    PART 1

    Start menu right click Windows

    Select "Device Manager".

Open "network cards" from the drop-down list

    Right-click "Inter (R) dual band wireless AC-3165.

    Select "Properties".

    Select the tab "power management."

Uncheck the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Click on 'Ok '.

    PART 2

Right click "RealTek PCIe FE Family Controller"

    Select "Properties".

    Select the tab "power management."

Uncheck the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Click on 'Ok '.

Restart the computer (don't know if it's necessary, but I always restart)

    It fixed for me.

I found part 1 on several forums, but I had to find part 2 on mine. I was connected to the internet for nearly 24 hours without a single loss of connection! Essentially, the driver for the controller has been close and do not restart properly. Without the controller, the wireless adapter cannot communicate with the system.

Sincerely, I hope this helps, it is a beast of a problem and was all-consuming for my last three days off!

  • Possible PC portable HP Pavilion 15 15-e090se to connect WiFi 5 GHz?

    Hello

I just want to check if possible PC portable HP Pavilion 15 15-e090se to connect WiFi 5 GHz?

    No. E3Z44EA3ABV

    Thank you

    Ajdee20

    Hello

Go to Page 6 in this manual:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03939658.PDF

All the compatible wireless adapters listed for your model in the manual are adapter single band and operates on the 2.4 GHz ONLY band.

Go to Device Manager and expand network adapters. You will see the names and model numbers wireless adapter.

If the suffix of the wireless card description ends in bgn, then this is the only map of a single band (2.4 GHZ). If it ends in abgn or agn, then this is a wireless card dual band (2.4 GHz/5.0 GHz).

Computers in most portable consumer HP are equipped with single band card.

You can use the dongle USB wireless adapter Alternatively.

    Hello

I appreciate your efforts to solve the problem.

This problem may occur corrupt or incompatible drivers, missing updates or because of incorrect network connection settings.

Are you having the same problem when you use the configuration of a network connection?

I suggest you to check if there is no wireless or mobile network\devices which can interfere with the wireless network and remove if there is.

    Method 1:
I suggest you to download and install the latest network driver on the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

    Hello

This is an option you can try.

Open windows control panel, open Power Options and next to your currently selected power plan, click Change plan.  In the next window, click on change advanced power settings.  In the next window, open 'wireless adapter settings' and then open 'power saving Mode'.  Next to on battery: click on the current setting and a drop-down list box - select 'Maximum Performance', then click on apply then Ok to save the setting.

Restart the computer and see if this contributed to the issue.

Please click the link posted by Feliks. It seems that it could solve your problem with the WIFI connection.

I recommend also to install the last driver Intel's WLAN. On my Satellite L300, I had some problems with the WIFI connection and a driver update could solve the problem! :)

    Hello

These and similar questions of WLan can be resolved for the most part by WLAN driver update.
Have you tried to update the driver WLan?

I'm not very well the laptop supports the card WLan, but this can be verified easily m.
Go to-> network adapters Device Manager
You will find information on the LAN and WLan cards.

If the laptop supports Intel WLan card, trying to get the most recent update of Intel page.
