  I am system administrator for a network that has Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, the Internet worked very well for everyone until 3 days ago 3 computers that have windows 7 and connect wirelessly to the router stopped having internet connection.

  If you do ipconfig/all, you can see the network card with an IP address, default gateway, and DNS servers, but for some reason it cannot go beyond the router. I ping the router but I can't go furter. All computers on the LAN have no problem. I updated the NIC, unchecked driver for wireless to save energy, I manually added the DNS servers.   My machine is a Samsung NP550P7C. I have 4-5 bars of signal when connecting to my wireless router. There are 3-4 laptops in the House who regularly use the same router without ever having an unstable connection, which gives a solid and undeniable performance.   I had the same problem of my limited view wifi whenever I connect. After research on the internet for 2 hours and try different options like reset netsh, activate, discovery network, energy-saving change mode, tcip reset, manual ip config, counter download enable etc. nothing worked!

  Since I've renamed our WiFi network and add a WEP key, I have problems with wireless connection on my
  Windows XP computer desktop, which is a Dell Dimension 4700.

  I did all the solutions I could try to fix the connection problem!

  Have you tried to set the value of the link speed/duplex mode? I had the same problem you describe. Your card is only capable of 10/100 communication.

  I did a PC refresh and after doing this once or twice to see the problem, I finally put my finger where lay the culprit.

  After playing with my router and everything else, I discovered that QCA Wifi pilot 10.0.0.217 and Driver Atheros 8.0.000.0206 blue tooth are pilots who have the conflict. In other words, these two drivers are those who make the "limited" connection

  Whenever I have these restalled after updating my PC my connection to the internet the computer became "limited." However, after my 3rd PC Refresh, I decided do not install these drivers. For this reason I have no problems whatsoever with my internet connection at all. No 'limited' at all. In addition, as soon as I start my computer, the internet is connected, whereas before, with these drivers installed, it was not the case at all.

  Obviously, there is a huge problem with these drivers. I had to, as computer illiterate as I am, should understand this.
