  Just bought my new Pavilion dv7, and when I run the Cam software, it tells me that my HP TrueVision HD webcam is not detected. I tried this for a few days, at a point when I was trying to play with the settings you Cam, webcam light on for aprox. 2 seconds and then died again, since then, it won't let me even in the settings of YouCam.

  Right now I am more and more convinced that it is because of my laptop being assembled outside the United States. Need a fix for it immediately.

  I had the same problem with a HP Pavilion dv7-6e22b. I read on a short cable inside the screen.
  I found the post on the way in which the display is connected. It's an older model but I was curious to know how to remove the cover of the machine. It contains 2 screws (that I didn't have to remove to access the camera) just be causious does not break the bevel.

  I had a problem with the interface of the software for my HP OfficeJet 4500 All in One Wireless G510n-z which, when I tried to solve this problem, brought several others.

  This led to my "reset" and going back to 8. I tried to reinstall 8.1 and had issues with this OS again, so reset again and right now, I'm still on Windows 8 because I'm afraid to go back to 8.1 when 8 seems to work fine... until now.

  I posted a few questions on this web site and got a few good reviews... but... I was told I had to upgrade the drivers for the different parts of this computer AND programs, I installed.

  I have an AMD processor and went to their web site and downloaded the driver AMD Downloader but it does not work. Is there a setting on this computer crashes or is this something else?

  I followed the advice on changing the settings on the mouse pad in Control Panel, it shows in my settings I enabled (checked), 2-finger scrolling vertical and horizontal and vertical and horizontal scrolling finger and have clicked on apply, however the touchpad still doesn't let me scroll through pages. All that I can use the touchpad to is to click and moe the pointer around the page. He was working until recently and I only bought the laptop in January. I also want you are trying to open HP Pavilion Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide of g6 because it is a PDF file. If you open then we know that you have installed Adobe and that something else is causing the problem. If you can't open it, then download and install Adobe Reader from my previous post and then try to run your audio discs.

  I also send this document for recovery software (Windows 8) Options , which explains how to do the recovery.
