HP Pavilion: Leave the office all the time?

I just bought this new HP computer. I leave it all the time, or is it better to close every night?

Thank you

TKF1

All HP computers have a good cooling system if so, you could leave it running.

But do you really need to be turned on! The start-up takes little seconds then why let on...

  • I use my MacBook Air as a desktop computer. Should I leave the charger plugged all the time or should I drain the battery and then recharge? What is the best for the battery?

I use my MacBook Air as a desktop computer. Should I leave the charger plugged all the time or should I drain the battery and then recharge? What is the best for the battery?

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always connected, make sure that at least twice a month

Run it on battery until battery charge level falls to about 40-50%.

Please don't completely discharge the battery. Discharge the battery completely will reduce wear and tear on the battery.

"The question is often asked:" should I disconnect my laptop from the mains when not in service? Under normal circumstances it should not be necessary because as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the load and load the pad will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe. »

You should not do. The best way is to use the laptop until the battery drains - load - use again. Well, here's how I use mine.

  • He done wrong to leave the USB cable all the time?

To clarify, I like this feature of bedside or desktop clock where you tilt the phone L shaped and clock lights up.

However, I know with other phones, if you leave the USB cable all the time, this is not good for the battery.

What is the case with the backflip? I guess because Motorola announce this clock function, it's OK to do so.

It will not harm the phone, it's the same as if you left your phone connected to your A/C charger. Once it's charged, it no longer attempts to charge the battery. --- Dan

  • Leave a pc on all the time, as I always close the end of the day?

I have recently been informed by a friend that computers should be left on at all times rather than close them at the end of the day,

Apparantley shut down a computer translates the computer run slower?

Please can someone tell me if this is correct?

Thank you in advance with any help I can receive

Your friend is, in my view, perpetuating an urban legend I've met regularly. I always shut my PC down when I'm done with her. Apart from anything else, this is the 'green' thing to do and your electricity bills will be reduced too.

He move in your PC to parts that wear out because there is no such thing as a perpetual motion machine. These moving parts will fail more quickly if you leave the PC on 24/7. Leave the PC 24/7 means that it is necessary to clean more often if dust accumulates at a faster rate, which increases the risk of overheating.

Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.

  • can I leave the laptop battery connected to ca all the time?

I leave the battery plugged all time ogical?

If you leave the power adapter plugged with the laptop turned off, it will draw a very small load of maintenance with the adapter, not enough to cause any damage. Electricity requires a complete circuit and if the laptop is not attracting a lot of power, the adapter does not work hard. This logic we would unplug a desktop computer, even when the computer is turned off, so the internal power supply would last longer. Not necessary, and no one does.

    Hello

Mute key functionality is provided by IDT Audio software, so the problem may be that Windows 8 has installed a reference driver that does not contain.  Often, the Windows 7 version works Ok, so I would try downloading and installing the following driver IDT.

  • Companion of power - leave it plugged all the time?

I just received the companion of 18 000 mah power and had a quick question. Is it harmful to the battery to let online with my laptop (XPS 13) supported 'all the time '?

I hope that the companion is smart enough for the transmission of the power directly to the laptop when the battery is fully charged. I'm mainly a/c power, but do not take trips that extend from time to time.

    Thank you

No it won't. The battery controls the load and the load stops when it is fully charged. You can monitor the load using BattStat. The charge current will drop slowly and eventually drop to zero.

    Hello

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the public on the TechNet site. Please post your question in the below link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/threads

  • Vista: Windows could not complete the installation. Reinstall Windows. Stops at CRCDISK. SYS in safemode, all the time.

A hard drive the HP dv2915nr laptop was dead. Installed a new hard drive and use the HP recovery CD. installs for 4 hours and then stops: Windows could not complete installation. Please re - install Windows again. Each facility is 4 hours. Because another install and it took 4 hours and then it restarts and stop at the same error. Now, I'm administrator (locked) - turn off when I pop in the recovery CD. Message: Your account has been disabled. Please, see your system administrator. I tried Safe Mode and loading Windows files stops at crcdisk.sys all the time and then restarts and displays: Windows could not complete installation. Please install again. Can't go in the office. Only restarts with these messages. Asked HP cat (3) Tech people and they do not have the answer. Said, could be a compatibility issue with the software. I ordered this CD of recovery on their part and he got yesterday. Now, they send in the laptop. So tried advice here. Please notify.

I found the answer. HP Tech Support Chat did not know the answer. When you run HP recovery CD, don't hit the restart WINDOWS button when it asks. The software will do it for you automatically. It will take a while (several hours 1-6 hours) to complete. You'll know it's done when WINDOWS ask you information of language, country and keyboard. In other words, don't touch anything once you start the restore CD program. Leave it alone and it will fix it for you. IGNORE the pop-up restart.

I can't believe HP has not even tell me that and 3 chat sessions with them was a waste of time. Last HP person ask me to send in the RECOVERY CD and the laptop.

No help from anyone on this issue. :(

BUT I thought about it. :)
