I use a laptop to Windows 8 64-bit HP Pavilion g6 and have had since August 2013. For a long time, I used my white JVC headphones to receive audio until they broke up. I got a new pair, and everything worked fine until a couple of weeks. I plugged my headphones as I would normally, in opening of Youtube for a video when my friend told me that he could hear the audio. I turned the volume down, thinking that maybe it was loud but he still complained of the noise. The only way I can seem to get the audio to play just for the headphones is type of bend the wire near where it connects to the laptop, and even then he plays that left, through the right channel is quite dead. I'm sure that's not the headphones, as I have tried 2 other pairs. In addition, those that I currently use and my other DO not work with my phone and iPod. I know that the answer is simple to fix but I'm not young anymore, and so my guardian refuses to pay a lot of money for what could be the cause of the problem (e.g. motherboard) repaired. If you know something pelase tell me but please not irritated if I don't understand, I don't much understand computer language ^-^' help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi xneonheartz. It looks like a problem of physics with the port. Because you do want to repair the unit, the least expensive option I can think of might be able to look into USB headphones. I hope this helps.

  I recently reinstalled Vista Ultimate on a bigger hard drive, but now I have a problem with my audio devices.
  (1) when I plug in my headphones to the port of front 3.5 mm external speakers are NOT dumb.
  (2) the only way I can switch from headphones and speakers is by right clicking the speaker icon in the notification area, click playback devices and "Set is device by default", followed by restart the video or itunes.
  Can someone help me with this.
  In addition, and I don't know if it's related, but in device under 'Other devices' management, the SM Bus controller has a yellow Triangle with an exclamation mark inside.

  Try the following.

  First of all, remove all the devices connected to the computer, including the helmet.

  Download Realtek HD Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R

  In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

  In Device Manager, expand sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When complete, shutdown the laptop.

  Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, reboot the laptop and let windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.

  I understand that you have a problem with the display, but if you change the position of the screen, it disappears.

  Here is a link to the display quality problems that can help.

  As you said it disappears when you reposition the screen, that the connection cable can become loose or damaged opening and closing the display.

  My laptop is a strange virus recurrent (at least, I think it is a virus). Which makes the machine very difficult to use and totally unpredicable.

  The symptoms of the virus are difficult to define making it very difficult to find a solution.

  The computer is very slow to open.

  It does not make an entry in the brower, if you try an entry, it puts just in one example the broken lines.

  When you try to close the broken lines more and what you should do a hard exist to stop.

  You cannot type in a new document, because you get more broken - lines

  The cursor is passed to a "forced" round doughnut.

  The e-mail software is very slow to open, once opened as soon as you click the last incoming emails, they disappear just to return to the latter.

  The machine stops ringing bing, bing, bing.

  This is now the third time that this virus has appeard. I usually download CC Cleaner and it seems to go away.

  Today I tried again and it did not work. I'm starting to think that perhaps CC cleaner is not dealing with the cause of this problem

  The machine has Bit Defender... after a full scan the identities no problem.

  Anyone experience this or have a solution for this?

  There a searchable name?

  Any information would be appreciated.

  If Bitdefender does not find any malware I would check for corruption of the system with sfc/scannow.
