  Awhile back, I decided it would be a good idea at the root of my Xperia Z, not a big deal really, even if I had to ask a mate of mine to help when I managed to bootloop device, the beautiful will... not!

If by chance, you were wondering how that happened, here, I'm stuck with a device that does not load properly and juuuust on boots, only for a fraction of second program start screen for THE SONY XPERIA Z... then... tickets... gone, dead, all just tired!

  I then rolled along for my poor unsuspecting companion, who just shook his head when I handed him the said device. The poor boy had for a week and has just managed to restore the software, even if he is convinced that it is a hardware problem, as in the battery!

  Please one, if not all of you, kind people put me on my my Sony and give me either a glimpse of hope, or simply give it to me right and tell me what might be wrong with the unit and weather or not, it can be resolved, I will impose a ban on all fiddle devices... capable.

  Try the following.

  Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

  Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

  After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  Since my last post July 16 I offered 64-bit beta by Creative drivers, I tried. They worked for about 6 weeks, then the problem reappeared. An additional condition for this problem seems to be a delay of several weeks between a pure install drivers and the recurrence of the problem. This is probably why Creative initially claimed they could not reproduce the defect and it must be a single fault.

  I have a laptop of 17-e123cl Pavilion Touchsmart with installed PowerDVD12.  If I play the videos from the drive VDV plays it very well, but if I copy the DVD to the hard drive and try to play there the image has a lot of large blocks and horizontal bars in the picture and the sound is messed up.  Since the HARD drive is a 1 5400 to disc it should be even faster than the DVD player, but it looks like that is the question.  Is there any other driver that I need to get things working correctly from the hard drive?  When I travel, I can't bring DVD in some countries, but the movies on the hard drive are not a problem (normally).  Same thing happens if copied to a flash drive.  Any suggestions?

  One proposed by Simon is 'Close' and that you save enough information to rebuild your Application in the State was restoring it when it is reopened.
