HP Pavilion tx2000 Notebook PC: failed to upgrade to Windows 10

Hello

I have a HP Pavilion tx2000 Notebook PC which has been successfully upgraded from windows vista to win8.1 pro. However, it was not upgraded to Windows 10. The message I got is like this:

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150

Production of the display did not your screen compatible with Windows 10. Check with the manufacturer to surpport.

That's why I'm here and ask for your help. I'm not a computer person and have no idea on what is NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150. The message means that I have no hope of getting Windows 10 unless you consider a new PC?  Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

Officially, your model does NOT support Windows 10 and there are no drivers for Windows 10

http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-TX2000-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/3650975/model/3658347

It's a bit old for Windows 10, it was factory well before Windows 10 came to settle. In fact, Windows 10 has been designed not even when this model was released.

I would recommend that you do not upgrade this model to Windows.

If you plan to stay on the 8.1 Windows, it will be supported until 2023.

If you plan to go back to Vista, it will rely on Microsoft until April 2017.

There is a tiny chance to install Windows 10 by performing a clean install using the ISO method:

https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

http://www.howtogeek.com/197559/how-to-install-Windows-10-on-your-PC/

After installation (if it fits) she can use a compatible driver for the video card and others. However, I do not recommend this and I would say that you stay with the current OS for this model.

I don't have the application of upgrade of windows 10. I also had problems with upgrading to windows 7, although it seems to have fixed itself.

MS showed no perceptible tendency on the plan which received the upgrade of Win10 application.  If you want to upgrade now, then use the tool of creation of media since the link and choose the option to upgrade the PC: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

But until you do that, you should seriously consider making an image backup of your PC - because the GoBack function is known to be unreliable.  Suggest using Macrium Reflect:

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup on an external drive
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full functional system of externally by car in a few minutes only.

  • Pavilion d4495.se - has: failed to upgrade of Windows 8 to 8.1

I have to prepare Windows 10, first upgrade Windows 8 to 8.1. The message I get is that it is not possible to upgrade the processor does not support the CompareExchange128. It's 2.2 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual core processor. Is there a fix or update available?

    Greetings,

Problems upgrading to win 8 to 8.1 Win with an Athlon 64 probably means that you will not be able to upgrade to Win 10.

See this article from 2013 to Neowin. It seems that you can install Win 8.1 32bits.

Anybody's guess if you can spend to Win 10 from there?

I wouldn't go there. Probably a great loss of time and effort.

    Hello:

The biggest problem you may encounter is that the audio probably does not work once you upgrade to W10.

Other than that, looking at the specifications for your PC it seems that all the other materials should work properly.

If you decide to roll the dice, and after installing W10, there is no audio data, you can try this driver below that worked for others with the same IDT audio chip.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

    File name: sp71717.exe

Here is a forum member that have fundamentally improved PC the same model as yours to W10.  Other than the sound works, he apparently had no other problems.

  • HP Pavilion dv8113cl Notebook PC Software/Hardware Upgrade

Hello everyone. I have a HP Pavilion dv8113cl laptop. It has great sentimental value for me, it is easy for me to use. I have grown very fond and attached to this old beast but I realize it's time to upgrade. I need tips on how to level and with what type of material. It has a unique feature, as I understand it. It has a hard drive Bay double housing two drives Toshiba MK8032GAX (5400 RPM) of 80 GB that are always in IDE. I know that I have to go but what and how do I do. I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit on it.

Thank you very much and have a great day.

Those who are very cool old cell phones. The problem is that there is not much room to upgrade. I think that they max to 2 GB of RAM. Windows 7 32 bit will be the best OS, but it will be limited by using no more than 2 GB of RAM. You can use only hard disks IDE and those who become very difficult to find and expensive. My best advice if you need to keep it is upgrading the main hard drive to an SSD (solid state drive). They are of the IDE/PATA SSD, but they are expensive and have limited capacity.

    Here's a concert 128 SSD IDE/PATA:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=9SIA1K60RW7578

$140 isn't too bad but keep in mind, probably more than the laptop is worth. However if you install it and put a fresh load of Windows 7 32 bit on it, you'll get a much faster computer.

  • Pavilion dv6-1216sa: Startup freezes after upgrade to Windows 10

    Hello

I upgraded my computer pavilion laptop Windows 10. Everything works fine EXCEPT at the start where it freezes about 15 seconds in Windows startup. I have to hold the power button to do a hard reboot, and then it starts always well the second time.

This always occurs on a cold, but don't start not on restart, when it restarts fine without problems.

I updated the Bios to the latest version and drivers that could be the cause, but I still have this problem. Any other ideas?

    Rob.

    Hello

It might help, I had the same problem and by disabling the quick start, it has been resolved. Go to control panel > power options > Control Panel. Click on "change settings that are currently unavailable" and the tick of the United Nations turn to the QuickStart area, click on save changes.  Turn off the switch and then back on and I hope that everything will be fine.

  • dv7-4170us: Notebook dv7-4170us with upgrade of windows 7 to windows 10 has no function in sleep mode

Monitoring upgrade home premium from Windows 7 to windows 10 online, I had 2 questions

    Question No. 1:

No sleep in windows 10 button.

After a search on the Microsoft support Web site.  The problem was later no graphics driver available for my diamond graphics card came with the laptop.  procedures was to go into Control Panel, Manager of devices, select the graphics card with the left button, then right click and select update.   The search is empty.   I've searched the manufacturer and find out the graphics card model has been abandoned.  My roommate has bought a similar laptop, the lower end, in 2011, it was no problem.

I am running in a loop here.  My laptop is out of warranty, my graphics provided by HP is interrupted and no graphics driver for windows 10.  Other then replacing the card. Woud HP offers a free replacement graphics card?

    Question 2:

My fingerprint reader no longer works.  I reset all my fingers.  I select when connecting. It will be the first screen, but the following is your hotmail username, it will no more go to the destop.   In Device Manager, windows detects it ok, but it seems that there is no window of 10 for her windows software.  On this subject, which would be my option?  Is Hp has a configuration software for fingerprint reader windows 10, if not, what free software would be compatible for it?

    Hello

No available drivers for Windows 10. Well, it's not too late to go back to Windows 7. You have 30 days.

  • HP Pavilion DV6: HP Pavilion DV6 Sleep transmit Mode after upgrade to Windows 10 (go to sleep after two minutes of inactivity)

I recently updated my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The upgrade went smooth and everything seems to work fine except for one annoying problem. After approx. 2 min of inactivity my post laptop goes into sleep mode and disconnects me. I checked all my power settings settings settings/sleep/screen saver... etc and I finished all updates to windows. I do not see all timers anywhere that requires an adjustment. Any help would be appreciated.

Note: The laptop wakes up fine with no problems.

For those who are interested. I found the solution by activating the 'system unattended Sleep Timeout' and then by changing this day here. The timer seems to have a pre-selection of 2 min for some reason any that was causing the problem together.

  • Failed to upgrade 10 Windows v3-772 - initialize not just crashes with the acer logo screen

    Hi guys

I just had my computer repair and the SSD has been changed. I was running 10 before windows and everything was perfect until an update in ruins everything. Long history does not in this

In any case I unstall all my software and do an update to windows 10. All the preparations and thus seems to be okay. Then it restarts and is stuck. Never of shots. I see the low activity of the HARD drive, but I let it run for 8 hours and still nothing, always gangs in the acer start window. It's once the bios loaded, because I can access that I'm fast and press f2.

After a while, I gave up and thought maybe it was just a fluke, so I used my recovery dvd and reinstalled my system and the Agency and the outlook and... After the installation of about 5 hours, my system was ready to go. So I decided lets try again. And once again same failure. Just crashes with the Logo of Acer.

I called Microsoft and they told to do me a startup repair. However it is not possible, I can get it in the repair mode, but none of the functions to work. Then they said that it was a material thing, but everywhere I look States the v3-772 should have no problem with the windows 10.

I'm normally pretty good to fix my own problems, but in order to fix a problem I need a mistake or error code or something to go for. Does anyone have an idea what to do?

    ncmohr,

I'm not completely sure what is the problem, but I'll tell you this.  When I look at Windows 10 drivers of Acer and BIOS for your computer model and see that there are some drivers Windows 8 and an old BIOS, it's really bad... especially if you try to get Windows 10 anniversary of working on your computer.

I don't have the model of your computer, but I'll give you a bunch of links that may or may not help you get a version of Windows 10 installed on your computer.

If you try to do a upgrade "on-site" Windows 8 for Windows 10 anniversary, then the link below and picture below might help... but I doubt it.

    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Edit: I don't know if you should be using the drivers on the Acer website to download or just use the updated drivers that Windows automatically gives you.  Or a combination of both.  Try to start with the drivers Microsoft gives you automatically.  It could take hours for you to understand... Unfortunately.

Edit2: On the Acer Web site, they gave you windows driver chipset 8.1 and Intel Management Engine Interface driver. And I suspect that the reason that they did is because they don't have to update your BIOS.
