HP pavilion zv6000 - digital media player problem
My digitial medial player does not read our SD camera card even if the card can be read by a USB SD card reader. We have the same problem with our HP desktop computer digital media player.
I have download all the updates that I can find for the AMD processor, windows XP Pro, and digital media player.
We tried several different SD cards but all are bigger then 2 gig I think that's the problem.
When inserted, the system (Windows XP Pro) simply does not recognize the card.
Is their a patch of firmware for the digital media player, I'm missing?
Unfortunately, the maps of more than 2 GB are actually SD - HC, no SD they look alike and have the same form factor, internally, they are quite different. Although in some cases, an update of the firmware can update a card reader, it is usually not possible (or at least most of the manufacturers do not try), I suspect that your USB card reader is of a more recent vintage than readers integrated computer.
Unfortunately, your choice is to continue to use the separate drive or stick on SD cards that are generally limited to 2 GB or less.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/codecs-frequently-asked-questionsCAUTION: Use caution when installing codecs that you find on the Internet, in particular some of the free codec packs that claim to include codecs from a wide variety of companies or organizations. Incompatibilities are known to exist with some of the components in these codec packs that can cause serious playback issues in the player and other players, lead to the corruption of the system and make it difficult for Support from Microsoft to diagnose and solve playback problems. For these reasons, we strongly discourage you from installing these codec packs, and recommend that remove you them if you have installed them and you are having problems with the player. Install only codecs, filters or plug-ins from reliable sources, authorized, such as the website of the official supplier. Even in this case, beware: some codec suppliers offer minimal customer. Before you install the components of digital media, set a system restore point. The restore point to go back to the configuration of your system, if necessary.

Personal media player problem - Windows delayed write failed
I have a 1 TB Personal Media Drive (hd10000x) which does not with my e9120f machine Pavilion Elite running Windows 7. When I try to write to the disk using the dedicated Bay or USB connection, he wrote a small number of files (anywhere from 8-100), then an error "the system cannot find the specified file. In Event Viewer-Windows Logs------system I get thousands of warnings "an error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk6\DR6" and "the system does not have empty data in the transaction log.» Corruption may occur.
This is my second personal media player, I had the same problem with the first, and he returned after spending 90 minutes online with the help of HP trying to diagnose the problem (with a friendly assistance technician yet not very knowledgable). Its best estimate was Norton AntiVirus, but the drive did not work when the machine has been started in Mode safe and AntiVirus software has not loaded.
The drive works fine with my old Dell laptop Windows XP, but not with my brand new HP desktop computer. I think that it must be a driver conflict but can't find anything in the forums or elsewhere online.
Ideas anyone?
.
Who seems to have done the trick - thanks

Satellite P300: Microsoft Windows Media Player problems
Hi, I have trouble getting all the sounds of WMP 11 after about 10-15 seconds. I can get sound for 10 seconds and then no sound, but WMP still continues to play. Same thing when you try headphones. I have no trouble hearing my TV modem sounds and other sounds of Windows (I have recently changed from 32 to 64-bit one no problem with sound)
My laptop is a Toshiba P300/05Y, P7450, 4 GB of Ram with Windows Vista SP2 x 64 installed. In Device Manager I have drivers listed as Conexant High Definintion SmartAudio 221 and high definition Audio Device (I think this one is for the HDMI output) (there is also a 71st Pinnacle PCTV which is for my modem TV).
I checked the two audio devices are up-to-date with WMP11 - all of which are. What else can I check to get WMP works again? Oh yes, I use the media through the media player (although I did try and play music over there just to see if it made a difference, but not the question)
Just a question:
Have you noticed same problem using another player like WinAmp?I just want to understand if there is a sound problem general or simply associated with WMP 11.
Is that what you have installed this update?
Did you also install the codecs or codec package such as K-lite -
Pavilion Notebook: Windows Media Player went
Somehow, my Windows Media Player has disappeared from my laptop. The HP-1000 refuses to play any DVD and no symbol. How to restore the media player? When I search for apps, it indicates that the player has been charged on my PC. Confused; Help, please!

The solution does not solve my problem. My PC using Windows 8 can not download the free update for Windows 10, so I don't even havwe no DVD playback capability. Why not upgrade?
For info Windows 10 has more than WMP or DVD playback option which is a $15 app, you have to buy through MS Apps store to get this option again.

Y570 Windows media player problem
Hi guys...
Recently I bought Lenovo Y570.
But I am facing problem with the playback of the media through windows media player.
Audio / video that plays automatically stops and I have to press play to resume playback.
It is sometimes quite irritating.
Sometimes, listening to a playlist, the song gets skipped automatically and the next song starts.
What could be the problem?
I installed the Spider & VLC player media player, but I don't face above problems during playback of audio / video on them.
Edit: just now, I was playing a piece and he pauses automatically. I did not worth playing again. But after a few minutes, he started to play again.
So, basically, it's like some ghosts control my windows media - play, pause, skip song player.
I couldn't find a similar problem on the internet. Help, please. I want Media Player since it sounds better than the spider.
You have Lenovo RIC in your system tray? If you do, you have the auto-DJ turned on. Go to the menu "assistant" and turn it off.
You can disable this "feature" in your menu.

color of Windows media player problem
The Windows Media Player framework (including the toolbar) changed to dark red color (have not changed the parameters myself) on my desktop (blackish slept on my laptop). and the "color picker" under "improvements" simply does not (it does on my laptop). I've uninstalled and reinstalled WMP without result. Suggestions, please
I found this solution on an Avast forum (seems as if some Avast users have this problem) and it worked for me.
Open the dialog box run (twice) and then paste into the pressing next OK after every time:
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
I did a registry backup first - just in case - but now my WMP is back to normal (black)

I have Windows Vista. It came bundled with my computer so I can't uninstall & reinstall.

Try this...
Start > default programs > associate a type of file or Protocol with a program > wait for loading > top left, under name, scroll down until you see mp3, click > everywhere, look under current by default, it should say Windows Media Player...
If it does not say that, click on change program... > in the open with window, select Windows Media Player > click OK
See the screenshots for illustration...Hope this will help.

Media Player problem - library not updated
Hello
I had a problem with my windows media player - it's are more updates from the music library.
Initially, the problem was with my i-tunes purchases only. I would like to download - it would save in my music folder - appear in my library of MP - then disappear from the library. He's doing the same trick with CD Ripper using the MP.
Trobleshooter told me that the files were corrupt but did not say who. Subsequent verifications and bugs says everything was ok, but this is not the problem is still there.
I have the version 12.0.7601.1754 for Windows 7 WMP12The indices of solutions?
See if that does something positive,

Media Player stop working (no error etc. It just doesn't work anymore)
I tried all the fixes, I can find on the web and Microsoft sites
Including disable Media player (via Windows) restart and then turn it back on. Does NOT workPls help ASAP
Hi MuffinManRD,
See if the reconstruction of Media Player cache may resolve the problem. Follow the steps and the link below to do the same thing.
1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. If you are running Windows Vista, click Start, click run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.
3 select the folder Media Player, and then click delete on the file menu.
4. restart Windows Media Player.
Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Important : this article explains the steps on a computer that is running Windows Vista, but it remains valid for Windows 7 as well.
