HP PavilionTouchsmart 11 Noteb: storage capacity of recovery disk is almost full

My question is: how to make more Revovery disk space?  It is almost full. Drive C is very well...

I have a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 11 Notebook PC

Thank you

Hello:

It is normal that the partition recovery disk is almost full, and you should never store other files on it.

The partion made just large enough to hold recovery files.

If you have stored files on the recovery partition, I recommend that move you elsewhere.

The recovery of the manufacturer partition must stay exactly as it was when the computer is started for the first time.

Your problem when you use a backup utility.

Utility backup will never use space on the C drive and always look for space on the NEXT available drive or partition. In your case, the next available drive has been the recovery partition.

You should NEVER go back to a partition on the primary boot drive. This player is working harder than any other part of your computer, and the chances of failure are higher as a result.

Get an external hard drive if you want to save anything and make sure that the device is disconnected when not not necessary...

What to do about the recovery partition...

According to what backup utility you used, go to the D drive and delete all backup files that have been made here.

Windows backup uses the BKF file extension, so you will remove all files with the extension BKF.

  • Satellite Pro L40 Recovery - drive C almost full

    Hello

I went through the process of recoevery HD so I could sell it to a friend on your own laptop.

The process worked well and I spent many nights download of updates etc.

When I look at my C drive it shows a dissapointing free 8 GB and 20 GB used since a possible 30 GB. Data drive E shows 26 GB free.

Any ideas what may be using all this disk space?

    Kind regards

    Simon

You have in front of you laptop and you can check what data are saved on the C partition.
    How we know this?

I get a warning that my D recovery drive is almost full.  According to the protocols I double click to get rid of the excess files... .but there is none.  My trash is empty and there is no other visible excess files.    My system works well, but this repeated the message is very tiring.  Any ideas?

Recovery volume has been created by your OEM (OEM) - ask them what you need to do.  (You do not use it for what it is, are you?

  • TouchSmart 300-1120: drive recovery (D) shows that it is almost full. How to clean it?

I see now that my HP TouchSmart all in his recovery drive is almost full.  What should I do to clear up?  I find that what follows in the player: recovery (folder) and HP_WSD.dat.  Nothing else is seen here.

The reader says he began with 12 GB and now only has 1.0 rest.

I read that someone had this problem but it uninstall him their printer?   I use the HP Deskjet 3052 a. It would do me no harm? It is a wireframe / wireless.  I don't see how it would have something to do with the recovery disk.

I read that if you use Norton Online Backup, he would send information to the D: drive. However, I use Norton 360, but don't use online backup. Norton backup is only used once in a great while and used with an external HD.  I'm lost now, what to do to do this, please I hope someone can help me understand this.

    Hi again CurryK15,

    Thanks for the quick response!

It is normal that the recovery Partition to use a considerable amount of space. Over time, your system will be periodically save your system information in case a system recovery becomes necessary.

While I do not recommend it, you can delete the recovery Partition by following this resource on the removal of the HP recovery Partition. This resource is geared toward the withdrawal of this drive on laptop computers, but the same principles apply to your office.

    I hope this helps!

    Best regards

How much free space is a iPhone? Use the settings app to find out.

Settings > General > storage > storage section is at the top.

Did you remove photos from the film? If so, the photos transferred from the recently deleted album. They can remain there for 30 days allow for their recovery. But if you need to free up space on the iPhone you should remove again the album photos recently deleted.

If my phone is backed up via icloud, can I delete my photos from my phone to free up storage capacity?

When you back up your phone does not affect what is happening in the pictures. Backups are made to keep a snapshot of your device available in case you need to restore this backup device.

Use iCloud photo library? Is that what you mean? If you are, what you remove from the appliance will remove your library of Photos that are stored in iCloud.

If you don't use icloud photo library, you need to import your photos on your computer before remove you any of them (after checked the import was successful): PHOTO IOS of IMPORT FOR MAC/PC

  • storage capacity

    Hello

I bought a stream HP x 360 with a (supposedly) emmc2 disk 32 GB. When I first turned it on, I checked the storage capacity, it is said that there was only 21.3 GB which only 16 GB is free.

This means, to first of ALL, I lost HALF my storage capacity.

Can someone at HP please tell me why? I'm starting to think that HP folded pagers bit.

    YA!

I'm glad that we him had figured out.

For everyone, this is what happened.

I am connected with the OP and he continued getting even low disk space warnings after I helped liberate more than 16 GB.

When he was running the media tool, it would assess the space needed for execution.

During this process, a splash screen would appear to ask if he wanted to keep the files and programs or remove and install clean.

This start screen would only remain visible for a half second, then the assessment would continue until what he would stop and say that more (9 GB) extra space was needed.

With the user interface remains on the screen, I clicked the back button and was able to choose Installer Clean.

The installation now went through without a problem.

And Thisishardwork, I will private message you with the links that we've discussed.

Happy that it works now and thanks for being patient.

  • Maximum storage capacity for RN316

I know there are other topics covering this, but not for the model, I am interested to. I notice conflicting information on what maximum storage capacity, are supported by the RN316. For example, looking at the Datasheet on the Netgear product site, it shows the RN316 supports up to 60 TB and is expandable up to 128 TB with external units.

    https://www.NETGEAR.com/home/products/connected-storage/RN316.aspx#tab-TechSpecs

Here, the graph shows however differently (hoping it is exceeded). According to this, the same model only supports 24 TB of max and is expandable up to 64 TB with external units.

    http://KB.NETGEAR.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/7010/~/ReadyNAS%3A-expansion?CID=wmt_netgear_organic

In addition, said Amazon list it has a limit of 4 TB of each Bay, but hard drive compatibility shows that it supports 8 to even 6-disc (including TB WD drives Red 6 I ordered). So I'm a bit confused.

Are the limits of capacity related to older hardware, or is it something that is been upgraded over time through updates firmware for the ReadyNAS OS 6? I bought six to 6-disc for my RN316 and intend to use RAID6 - up to 36 TB of physical capacity and capability real/loglcal to 24. Can anyone confirm if this configuration would be supported by this model? Thank you

When the RN316 came out 6 TB discs were not available. Once we were able to test and qualify the and add all the necessary improvements to the firmware works well with them, we were able to add 6 to discs to the compatibility list.

10 TB disks start to become available now. Regarding which models will be tested against this ability or to work with, it remains to be seen.

Can I add storage to my 13-inch MacBook Air, purchased mid-2011?  Its storage capacity is 121 GB, on which 12,28 GB are currently free.

You can replace the internal flash SSD with greater capacity, a drive. It would be easier to add something external.
